New “First Man” Poster And International Trailer Released

By Creative Media Times

Universal Pictures

Universal Pictures has launched the international trailer for the Ryan Gosling starrer “First Man” and it features some of the more thrilling aspects about the astronaut’s journey into space. “The most dangerous mission in human history,” it says on the trailer.

The film is getting plenty of acclaim lately after its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, including Gosling for his role as Neil Armstrong, the astronaut referred on the film’s title as the first man to walk on the moon.

The film is based on the book “First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong” by James R. Hansen, and is written by Josh Singer, who won an academy award for Best Original Screenplay for Spotlight.

This is Gosling and director Damien Chazelle’s follow-up to “La La Land,” which earn a record-tying 14 Oscar nominations last year.

“First Man” is set to be released by Universal Pictures on October 12, 2018.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

On the heels of their six-time Academy Award®-winning smash, La La Land, Oscar®-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling reteam for Universal Pictures’ First Man, the riveting story behind the first manned mission to the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the decade leading to the historic Apollo 11 flight. A visceral and intimate account told from Armstrong’s perspective, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the film explores the triumphs and the cost—on Armstrong, his family, his colleagues and the nation itself—of one of the most dangerous missions in history.

Written by Academy Award® winner Josh Singer (Spotlight, The Post), the epic drama of leading under the pressure of grace and tragedy is produced by Wyck Godfrey & Marty Bowen (The Twilight Saga, The Fault in Our Stars) through their Temple Hill Entertainment banner, alongside Isaac Klausner (Love, Simon) and Chazelle. Steven Spielberg, Adam Merims and Singer executive produce, while DreamWorks Pictures co-finances the film.

Paul McCartney Releases “Fuh You” Video

By Creative Media Times

“Fuh You” the latest single to Paul McCartney’s latest new album “Egypt Station.”

The song is a follow-up to the album’s I Don’t Know” and “Come On to Me” which were released this summer.

The charming black and white video starts with a boy walking a girl home and the girl kissing him on the cheeks. When he tries to kiss her back, her mother opens the doors and tells the boy to leave. As he walks away, the smitten boy saw the girl looking out the window, signalling to call her. And so begins the “Fuh You,” the boy hopping and singing along his walk back home.

“On the night that I met you, I was on the town,” Paul sings. “I just wanna know how you feel, I wanna love the soul, proud and real.”

McCartney also played the song during his surprise concert at New York’s Grand Central Terminal, as a celebration for the album launch. There the legendary artist also performed his classics like Let it Be, A Hard Day’s Night and Can’t Buy Me Love among others.

‘Fuh You’ was written by McCartney and producer Ryan Tedder. It is the second single from the album, Egypt Station, which was release by Capitol Records on 7 September 2018. The album is set to debut atop the US Billboard 200 album charts on issue dated 22 September, making it his first album to debut at the top of the charts.

Summer 2018 Delivers $4.38 Billion in Domestic Grosses, Keeping Year on Record Pace

by Brad Brevet

Summer 2018 has come to an end, along with the month of August. To Hollywood’s delight, August finished up +29% compared to 2017’s disastrous performance and the summer movie season was up nearly +15% compared to last year’s similarly dismal showing. Disney led the way over the summer months serving as the only studio to top $1 billion in calendar grosses for the time frame, led by the June release of Incredibles 2, which brought in over $600 million to become the highest grossing animated domestic release ever.

Summer was also bolstered by such releases as Universal’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Fox’s Deadpool 2, the late-spring carryover Avengers: Infinity War and late-summer releases including Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Warner Bros.’s August surge in the form of The Meg and Crazy Rich Asians. In fact, The Meg and Crazy Rich Asians helped push WB over the $1 billion mark domestically for the year, taking the studio crown for the month of August.
