Daughtry Announce New Journey Tribute “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)”

Multi-Platinum Rock band DAUGHTRY will release a new cover song SEPARATE WAYS (WORLDS APART), a tribute to legendary rock band JOURNEY featuring vocals from Lzzy Hale, Lead singer of HALESTORM on Thursday Jan 5th 2023.

The cover releases exactly 40 years to the day that the original song was released on January 5th, 1983.

“Chris Daughtry and I have been threatening to unleash a duet for years. What better way to do that than by paying tribute to one of our mutual influences…. JOURNEY!” said Lzzy Hale. “This song is not only part of the Stranger Things soundtrack but has been my go-to for karaoke for as long as i can remember! I’m so honored to have been a part of this and I hope it makes you smile as big as I did while recording it!”

“I’ve always loved the song and I was wanting to do a classic cover and my wife and I were watching the Stranger Things season finale and there’s this incredibly intense scene and “Separate Ways” was a big part of this scene. It was so moving just the way it was used, it felt so cool and epic and I was immediately like “THIS is the one! We have to cover this song.” added Chris Daughtry. “Then I was like – how can we make this extra special? What if it was a duet? What if we got LZZY on it!!?? Needless to say I was pumped she said yes and I absolutely love how it turned out!”.

Final Trailer for “Plane” Starring Gerard Butler and Mike Colter

Gerard Butler is back in an upcoming action-thriller film “Plane” from French director Jean-François Richet.

In the film, Butler plays a pilot who is faced with protecting his passengers in the aftermath of a crash landing on an island. “No need to worry, folks, these planes are pretty much indestructible,” Butler says as a plane race through its path in the air.

The movie is based on Charles Cumming’s book and also stars, Mike Colter, Yoson An, Daniella Pineda, Paul Ben-Victor, Remi Adeleke, Joey Slotnick, Evan Dane Taylor, Claro de los Reyes, and Tony Goldwyn.

The film is set to be released by Lionsgate on January 13, 2023.

In the white-knuckle action movie PLANE, pilot Brodie Torrance (Gerard Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island – only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. And being able to write the last four issues of this arc and bring some story elements to fruition was such a challenge but I’ve enjoyed it the whole way,” Ottley said. “Drawing comics is what I’m used to, writing is a whole different animal, but doing both jobs was great and makes me want to do it more often! Feels sad to wrap up the arc and move on, but it’s definitely one of my favorite comic experiences. Hulk will always be one of my favorite Marvel heroes. And now with Titan added to the rogues gallery, hopefully we’ll see him again someday in all his fury and glory!”

It is produced by Jason Blum and James Wan under Blumhouse Productions, which produced the Halloween films, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man—comes a fresh new face in terror.

“M3GAN” is from screenplay by Akela Cooper and a story by Cooper and Wan, the filmmaker behind the Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring franchises.

Pioneering TV News Broadcaster Barbara Walters Dies At 93

The pioneering TV broadcaster Barbara Walters died Friday. She was 93. This has been confirmed by her representative, Cindi Berger, who said Walters died “peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones.”

The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger released a statement: “Barbara was a true legend, a pioneer not just for women in journalism but for journalism itself. She was a one-of-a-kind reporter who landed many of the most important interviews of our time, from heads of state to the biggest celebrities and sports icons. I had the pleasure of calling Barbara a colleague for more than three decades, but more importantly, I was able to call her a dear friend. She will be missed by all of us at The Walt Disney Company, and we send our deepest condolences to her daughter, Jacqueline,” Iger said in a statement Friday.

Walt Disney Company is the parent company of ABC News.

Walters is known as the first female anchor of a network news program. In recent years, she is also known as the co-creator of the hit ABC daytime show “The View.”

In May 2013, she revealed that she’s retiring from journalism by the end of the 2014 season of The View. However, Walters continued to make some appearance on occasion the following year.

In 1989, Walters was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame after 25 years in television.

Stan Lee Marvel Documentary Set to Stream On Disney+

Disney+ is set to release a documentary about comic book legend Stan Lee in 2023. The documentary will showcasing the life of Lee.

Marvel released the news about “Stan Lee Original Documentary” yesterday, which would be Stan Leee’s 100th birthday.

“100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee.” reads the caption on Marvel Entertainment’s tweet alongside a short trailer for the upcoming documentary.

Lee was the primary creative leader of Marvel Comics and along with artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created superheroes characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther and many others.

Lee started his work in the company in the 1960s, and also he became a prominent figure when the Marvel Cinematic Universe took shape. Stan Lee died in 2018 at the age of 95.

M. Night Shyamalan’s “Knock at the Cabin” New Trailer Released

After the recent box-office success of thrillers “Old” and “Split”, M. Night Shymalan returns in “Knock at the Cabin”, an upcoming apocalyptic psychological horror film set to be released by Universal Pictures.

A new trailer has recently been released, giving audiences another look at the twisty film about a family that has to make difficult choices in order to avert and survive an apocalypse.

The trailer also features actor Dave Bautista who seems to be the leader of a creepy cult-like group. Along with Bautista, the film also stars Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, and Rupert Grint.

The film is based on the 2018 novel “The Cabin at the End of the World” by Paul G. Tremblay.

“Knock at the Cabin” is set to be released in the United States on February 3, 2023.

Miss Universe 2023 Will Be Live-Streamed For The First Time On Roku Channel

The upcoming 71st Miss Universe competition is set to make its move to the streaming world, to Roku Channel specifically.

The streaming service, owned and operated by Roku, Inc., has sealed a one-year deal which will be the official English-language home for the Miss Universe pageant.

“For the first time ever, Americans are watching more streaming TV than cable,” Amy Emmerich, CEO at The Miss Universe Organization, said in a statement. “With this profound shift in the way audiences watch content underway, we’re thrilled to partner with Roku to bring the competition to the streaming world and reach previously untapped audiences across the United States.”

The 71st Miss Universe is also set to stream in Spanish on Telemundo.

Two months ago, on October 26, 2022, the Thailand-based JKN Global Group Co.Ltd., owned by Anne Jakrajutatip, purchased the Miss Universe Organization from WME/IMG.

The 3-hour long broadcast is set to be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 14, 2023.
