The limited 5-date run, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on Saturday, September 21 in Omaha, NE at Steelhouse Omaha, with additional stops in Oklahoma City, OK, Waukee, IA, and Detroit, MI before wrapping up on Friday, September 27 in Madison, WI at The Sylvee.

One of the most versatile and creatively daring artists in hip-hop today, Trippie Redd makes music that’s both wildly experimental and massively appealing. Since delivering his debut mixtape A Love Letter to You in 2017, the multi-platinum-selling, chart-topping rapper, singer/songwriter has continually defied genre boundaries, embedding his melodic take on rap with frenetic elements of rock-and-roll and heavy metal.

“The Silent Hour” Official Trailer For Crime Thriller Starring Joel Kinnaman

Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for its upciming action crime thriller “The Silent Hour”, with Joel Kinnaman playing a detective who loses his hearing after getting injured on the job.

Along with Kinnaman the film stars Mark Strong, Sandra Mae Frank, Mekhi Phifer, Michael Eklund, Anthony Grant, Jonathan Koensgen, Mike Parish, Seán James Sutton, Djinda Kane. Directed by Brad Anderson, the film is written by Dan Hall.

The film is set for release on October 3, 2024 by Republic Pictures.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
In the film, while working a case as an interpreter, a hearing-impaired police detective must confront a group of criminals trying to eliminate a deaf murder witness in her apartment building.

As Attenborough says in the show, “the natural world is filled with sound, but so far we’ve been hearing only part of it,” and the Netflix series showcases those sounds.

In the documentary, advanced audio tech reveals never-before-heard animal behaviors: caiman chirping in eggs, lions and hyenas nocturnal skirmishes, puzzling fish humming, avian mimicry precision.

Gravitas Ventures is set to release Jon Nix’s documentary Don’t Fall In Love With Yourself” about musician and artist Justin Pearson and the San Diego punk scene.

dont-fall-in-love-with-yourselfLeading independent film distributor Gravitas Ventures, an Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company Company, has announced they’ve acquired US and Canadian distribution rights to Jon Nix’s documentary Don’t Fall in Love With Yourself, which explores the life of enigmatic musician and artist Justin Pearson. Gravitas will release the film through their hybrid distribution system composed of Comcast, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, Spectrum, Apple TV, Dish, Google Play, DirecTV, and more on August 20th.

American Cinematheque’s PROOF Film Festival 2024 announces Film Lineup and new programs

proof-film-festival-2024The American Cinematheque announced the lineup of official selections and events for the 2nd Annual PROOF Film Festival, taking place October 18-20. The innovative film festival presents thematically curated programs featuring 46 official selections, filmmaking labs and panels – all taking place at the Culver Theater (9500 Culver Blvd.). PROOF is dedicated solely to the presentation of proof-of-concept short films, looking to be expanded into feature-length productions or series, and empowering the next generation of cinematic storytellers.

Once again, PROOF will look to spotlight a slate of innovative films from up-and-coming filmmakers, as well as panel conversations on the art and business of filmmaking. To that end, this year, PROOF will team with CALLO to schedule meetings between selected festival filmmakers and industry partners in the film festival’s CALLO Lounge. These meetings will assist in developing relationships and potentially make their proof-of-concept projects into fully realized films.

Another highlight is the PROOF Pitch Deck Show & Tell. This interactive session will be held during the festival on Sunday, October 20, and will feature 6 selected filmmakers who will pitch their project live in front of a film industry panel. A grand prize winner and a runner-up will be selected and announced at the PROOF Film Festival Award Show.

However, both their actions lead them down a path filled with dangerous criminals, mistaken identities, and comic mishaps into the clumsiness of the Cape Town underworld.

The news comes on the heels of the announcement of their forthcoming album Girl due August 30th. The new single showcases the duo’s quick witted lyrical bars juxtaposed alongside a lush sonic landscape. Speaking about the new single Coco and Clair note, “‘Kate Spade’ was one of the first songs we finished for the album after a night out in Amsterdam. The upcoming 21-date North American tour, produced by Live Nation, begins October 1st in Montreal and includes stops in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, New York, and more. Coco & Clair’s forthcoming album Girl sees the Atlanta duo embracing a broad range of sonic landscapes. Speaking further about the project Coco and Clair share, “In the early stages of our writing process we had a running joke about being pregnant with a new album and how this one felt like a baby girl, whereas our last project, Sexy, felt more like a baby boy. We were writing about our relationships, referencing and incorporating lyrics we had written years ago – lyrics previously put aside for being too vulnerable or confessional. We were experimenting with a style of production that felt more refined, polished, intentional, and intimate.

Blxst Announces 2024 I’ll Always Come Find You Tour

BlxstFollowing last week’s release of his new album, “I’ll Always Come Find You”, Blxst announces his 2024 I’ll Always Come Find You Tour. Blxst will play 30 shows across North America; following up his sold-out No Love Lost tour in 2021 and his sold-out Before You Go tour in 2022.

The tour will kick off on October 1 in Houston with stops in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, and more. Blxst will end the domestic tour back home in Los Angeles on November 22; before performing his first-ever show in Hawaii on December 5.

Joining Blxst on tour are collaborators and special guests Leon Thomas, Joyce Wrice, and Joony. Earlier this year, Blxst and Leon linked up for their “Crash & Burn (Remix).” Joyce and Joony are both featured on the new album on tracks: “Better Off Friends,” and “Thousand Hours,” respectively. Plus, TDE Singer Zacari will join Blxst in Hawaii after their most recent collaboration “Bless Her Heart.”

I’ll Always Come Find You is Blxst’s most motivated project to date. The 20-track concept album is split into four acts where Blxst takes on the character of Birdie, a young man who inherits his father’s chauffeur car service upon his sudden passing. This new creative and direction marks a new era for Blxst; not only musically, but with his performance plan and special surprises for the I’ll Always Come Find You Tour.
