Jamie Lee Curtis Makes Her Graphic Novel Debut With Eco-Horror – Mother Nature

Titan Comics is thrilled to be publishing Mother Nature (Fall 2022) the terrifying debut eco-horror graphic novel by Hollywood legend Jamie Lee Curtis. Co-written with film-maker Russell Goldman and illustrated by artist Karl Stevens, the book has been adapted from the script for the upcoming Comet Pictures and Blumhouse horror movie Mother Nature, directed by Jamie Lee Curtis.

Nova Terrell who, after witnessing her father die in mysterious circumstances on one of the Cobalt Corporation’s experimental oil extraction projects, has grown up to despise the seemingly benevolent company that the town of Catch Creek, New Mexico, relies on for its jobs and prosperity. The rebellious Nova wages a campaign of sabotage and vandalism against the oil giant, until one night she accidentally makes a terrifying discovery about the true nature of the “Mother Nature” project and the long-dormant, vengeful entity it has awakened that threatens to destroy them all.

“I first thought about this story when I was 19 years old,” says Curtis. “I’ve always been aware of the very unbalanced relationship between humans and nature, and even though I was young, I always knew that, inevitably, nature would win.”

“I have long admired and collected Karl’s work, and I’m very excited he suggested expanding the idea to turn it into a graphic novel. The partnership with Titan has now given us a wonderful platform to begin to tell our story,” she adds.

“I was immediately blown away by the depth of the characters, the perfect blend of action and gore, the urgent ecological message, and how all these things would translate beautifully into a graphic novel,” says illustrator Karl Stevens. “It’s a joy and privilege to work with Titan Comics and Blumhouse on this project. I’m producing the best work of my career!”

“We wanted to reach deeper than the big picture doom-and-gloom of climate change narratives to tell a story specific to Four Corners, New Mexico, an amazing part of the world where every major source of energy is mined, and where the climate and resource crises are acutely felt,” explains Russell Goldman. “We wanted to use these themes to shape a story that feels intense, honest and unexpectedly aspirational.”

Instagram is a very popular social media app used by millions worldwide. But it is still vulnerable to bugs and issues which many users face often.

One such issue is receiving the message “”Something went wrong. Please try again later” whenever you tag someone or use the hashtag. Whenever this happens, the user have no choice but to remove the tag and hashtag.

However, there are a few things which users can do to resolve it. Although this is not a bulletproof solution, some of these have been proven to work.

Check Or Reset Your Network Connection

A very common source of the issue is bad connectivity. Often, all you need to do is reset your wi-fi connection, or check your network speed. You can also try removing anything that is situated between your device and your router, or moving closer to it. Resetting both devices (your phone, laptop or computer where you access instagram, and the router) may also work.

You Can’t Edit Because The Post May Be Boosted At That Moment

Needless to say, posts that are in the status of “boosted” cannot be edited. Instagram installed in some devices does not inform this to the user. In some macbook versions of Instagram for example, the user is still allowed to edit and tag, only to find out that the tag does not work. On a galaxy tablet however, a message will appear: “You can’t edit this post because the post is boosted as an ad”, or something similar.

Reinstall Instagram

This may be extreme and also inconvenient, but in some cases, all you have to do is reinstall the app. This then cleans out all the app settings on your device and login as if its your first login session. This often also helps resolve some of the app slowness and sluggish features you may be experiencing.

Clear Your Cache Or Switch Devices

Using another device quickly rules out some of the issues you may be facing. Switching to another device, and it still doesn’t work means the issue is related to your instagram account specifically, not on the device nor connectivity. Try clearing your cache as well on the same device as its most likely accumulated a lot of cache files that needs to be cleared out of the device.

H.E.R. Announces 2022 Leg Of “Back Of My Mind” Tour

Today, Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist H.E.R. announced a new leg of her wildly successful 2021 BACK OF MY MIND tour. Todd McFarlane Announces Four Connecting Covers For His New Team Book: The Scorched

Todd McFarlane is paying homage to Jim Lee’s historic X-MEN #1 cover beginning with THE SCORCHED Issue #3. McFarlane has revealed the artwork for the first cover and announced he will be drawing three more connecting covers in the coming months. THE SCORCHED issues #3 through #6 will all connect to create one stunning piece of artwork to help celebrate SPAWN’s 30th year anniversary this year.

McFarlane said: “Over the years, I have what seems like hundreds of homage/parody covers based on my artwork. So, it is always fun to turn the tables and do an homage to other covers and artists whose work I have admired. This will mark my first attempt at tipping my hat to my friend Jim Lee’s amazing art. His career and the images he has given us have been an inspiration for many. I thought this image would be the best way to pay tribute to his talents.”
