Official Trailer For Zombie Comedy FINAL CUT From Michel Hazanavicius

Written and directed by Michel Hazanavicius, and starring Romain Duris, Bérénice Bejo, Matilda Lutz, Finnegan Oldfield, the French zombie comedy is set for release in theaters on July 14.

The film screened earlier this month during the Tribeca Film Festival.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:

Oscar® winner Michel Hazanavicius’ remake of Shin’ichirô Ueda’s cult hit One Cut of the Dead follows a director (Romain Duris, L’Auberge Espagnole) charged with making a live, single-take, low-budget zombie flick in which the cast and crew, one by one, actually turn into zombies.

Featuring hysterically unhinged performances from Oscar® nominee Bérénice Bejo (The Artist), Matilda Lutz (Revenge), and Finnegan Oldfield (Corsage), Final Cut is a sly love letter to the art of filmmaking and a blood-soaked, hilarious genre farce with a meta-to-the-max premise.

Milan Records releases The Walking Dead: Dead City (Original Television Series Soundtrack) with music by Ian Hultquist

Milan Records releases The Walking Dead: Dead City (Original Television Series Soundtrack) with music by Ian Hultquist. The 20-track album is available today, June 23, on digital platforms here. The series is available now on AMC and AMC+.

Similar to the show, the music is dark and industrial, using sampled organic and environmental sounds. Sampled in abandoned warehouses and various other deteriorated areas, these sounds include banging on pipes, vibrating grain silos, playing instruments such as brass and guitar sounds and repitching, looping, and reverberating them in the studio.

“[I had] a few friends design samples & sounds specifically for the show. They helped create a lot of the booms & percussion, and the drones in [episode 5]. My assistant Ben Van is an avid field recordist and spent his holiday break in Maine recording sounds in abandoned warehouses. They literally look like Dead City sets,” says Ian.

The underscore supported vulnerable moments in the show, using strings, drums, synths, Therevox, distorted Baritone guitar, and Guitarviol.

Remy Boydell’s Critically-Acclaimed 920LONDON Graphic Novel Inspires Original Song Of The Same Name

Remy Boydell’s critically-acclaimed standalone story 920LONDON—which was a 2020 solo graphic novel debut for the artist of The Pervert—has garnered a devoted fan following and inspired an original song, of the same name, by artists Ada Rook and ESPer99.

“To me, 920LONDON is a book about a really specific type of loneliness, a stubborn hope that somewhere out there the world will finally begin, even though you secretly know the grey skies go on forever,” said Rook. “I felt really inspired to write a song based on the spark of denial in the book.”

The graphic novel is set in 2005 just north of London and follows a doomed romance between two emo kids.

Boydell added: “920LONDON has been kind of a sleeper hit, I’m really grateful that people have been enjoying it. The song captures the feeling of the book so well that it’s scary.”
