Finneas Announces North American Headlining Tour Dates, Starting October 15

Finneas Releases new track ‘Shelter’, Confirms Debut Ep ‘Blood Harmony’ To Be Released October 4, while Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’ — Produced By Finneas – Earns Number 1 Spot In The Billboard Hot 100 This Week. Listen to ‘Shelter’ here.

Today, 22-year-old songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist FINNEAS, releases his latest song “Shelter.” With this release comes the exciting news of his highly awaited debut EP, Blood Harmony, out on October 4.

Here’s Finneas North American tour dates:

10/05 – Austin City Limits Music Festival – Austin, TX
10/15 – August Hall – San Francisco, CA
10/17 – Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever – Los Angeles, CA
10/20 – Thalia Hall – Chicago, IL
10/23 – Warsaw – Brooklyn, NY
10/24 – Paradise Rock Club – Boston, MA

In speaking about the new song, FINNEAS reveals, “I wrote this song a couple years ago and just let it percolate for a while, seeing how it would age,” he explains. “When I looked through my music to release this year, I came across the demo and was pleasantly surprised to find I still liked it.” He continues. “Usually, I get bored of my stuff almost immediately. I wanted this song to have an urgency to it when I recorded it, the same way that the lyrics do—the kind of feverish feeling that accompanies loving someone.”

Explaining the title of his EP, FINNEASshares, “I would love for this title to remain ambiguous to listeners and for everyone to be able to imbue it with their own meaning and justification.” As the sole collaborator, producer and elder brother to Billie Eilish, he elaborates. “Themost common use of the term blood harmony is an English expression for what it sounds like when siblings sing together, that biologic chemistry—I think that speaks for itself.”

“The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance” Soundtrack Volumnes 1 & 2 Being Released Friday Aug 30

The Soundtrack Volumes 1 & 2 for The Jim Henson Company’s fantasy adventure series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance are being released digitally on Friday, August 30 (the same day as the series launch on Netflix), and on CD and vinyl in the coming months, exclusively through Music.Film Recordings.

Volume 1 of the soundtrack features original music by composer Daniel Pemberton, while Volume 2 consists of tracks by Pemberton and by Samuel Sim.

“I approached the music the same way I approached the filming and the puppetry,” explains executive producer and director Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me, The Incredible Hulk). “I wanted somebody to come on this journey that would be willing to take big risks. I wanted something that was almost tribal. I wanted to hear the strings being plucked and the skin wrapped over the drum. At the same time, I wanted somebody who could write beautiful melodies, understood music, and was a lover of beautiful music. I wanted someone who would approach it in a very organic way and who would tell the story through the score. My search led me to Daniel.”

The 10-episode show is a prequel to the groundbreaking 1982 fan favorite The Dark Crystal, and takes place many years before the events of the film. Leading the voice cast in the series will be Kingsman star Taron Egerton, The Witch actress Anya Taylor-Joy and Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel, as ‘Gelfling’ heroes Rian, Brea and Deet. Star Wars’ Mark Hamill, Harry Potter’s Helena Bonham-Carter, Tomb Raider star Alicia Vikander and Outlander’s Caitriona Balfe provide additional voice performances in the new fantasy epic. The series was shot in the U.K., and stars an ensemble of fantastical, state-of-the-art creatures brought to life by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop™ and designed by Brian Froud, the original feature’s conceptual designer.

Stunning New “Parasite” Trailer Released

By Creative Media Times

CJ Entertainment

Director Bong Joon-ho’s acclaimed black comedy thriller finally has a new trailer.

Bong Joon-ho is known for mixing disparate genres within his films and Parasite looks like its no exception. The trailer looks as captivating as one would expect from the mind behind Snowpiercer, Mother (Madeo), and Okja.

The new trailer was released by Neon this week (see below), showing lives of two families, one wealthy and another impoverished, intersecting and taking a horrific turn.

The film recently took top honor at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, winning the Palme d’Or, making this the first time that a Korean film has won the honor.

Parasite is set to hit theaters on Oct. 11.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide “indispensable” luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.

First Trailer For Paul Feig’s “Last Christmas” Released

By Creative Media Times

Universal

Christmas comes early with the release of the first trailer for Universal’s “Last Christmas”, the upcoming romantic comedy from director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat).

The film stars Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding, who had a breakout role last year in “Crazy Rich Asians.”

The trailer shows Kate (Emilia Clarke) as a cynical, down-on-her-luck Londoner who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. “I bet nothing’s ever your fault, is it darling?,” says Kate’s flatmate before throwing her out the apartment. Enter Tom (Golding), who seem to regularly bump into Kate. She starts to confide in him, and the two starts a festive romance.

Throughout the trailer, we also hear some of George Michael’s classic songs including of course “Last Christmas,” released in 1984. There’s also brand new unreleased material by the legendary Grammy-winning artist, according to Universal.

“Last Christmas” co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson, with the latter also co-writing and co-producing the film.

The film is set for release on 8 November 2019 by Universal Pictures.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

Kate (Emilia Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Henry Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart … and you gotta have faith.
