New Trailer For Sundance Favorite “Kidnapping Inc.” Gets Release Date

kidnapping-incKidnapping Inc., the explosive film from director Bruno Mourral, unveils a brand-new trailer ahead of its release on February 7th, 2025 from Dark Star Pictures. The film held its world premiere at Sundance 2024 to critical acclaim, with Mourral reuniting with collaborators Jasmuel Andri and Rolapthon Mercure, as well as co-writer Gilbert Jr. Mirambeau, for the high-octane, action comedy-thriller.

Anabel Lopez (Emilia Pérez) and Gessica Geneus (Freda) co-star alongside lead actors Andri and Mercure as Doc and Zoe, two hapless kidnappers who are plunged into a high-speed misadventure through the perilous streets of Port-au-Prince, where they discover a political conspiracy that transforms their seemingly simple abduction job into a deadly serious, darkly funny thriller that exposes the rampant corruption, class inequality, and insecurity in Haitian society.

SFFILM Announces 2024 Awards Night Honorees

Today, SFFILM announced their honorees for the annual 2024 SFFILM Awards Night: Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Denis Villeneuve; award winning global superstar Demi Moore; emerging filmmaker Malcolm Washington; and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Jason Reitman.

The celebratory event honors exemplary achievement in film craft and is a fundraiser with proceeds from the event supporting the organization’s mission to discover, nurture, and showcase the next generation of film artists. The annual dinner and awards presentation event is well established in film industry awards season schedules and philanthropic social calendars. SFFILM Awards Night will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024 at San Francisco’s Gateway Pavilion at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.

2025 Sundance Film Festival Announces Jury Members

The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced today the 16 jurors granting awards honoring excellence in cinematic and artistic achievement at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, along with the five jury members who present the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize. The 2025 Festival will kick off on Thursday, January 23, with premieres in Park City every day through the end of Tuesday, January 28. Additional showings will take place in Park City and Salt Lake City throughout the Festival until Sunday, February 2. Over 11 days, world debuts of projects across program categories will highlight fresh voices, entertaining stories, and groundbreaking works.

New Trailer for ‘Heart Eyes’ Released

The new trailer has been released for “Heart Eyes”, the upcoming romantic slasher film starring Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt.

Directed by Josh Ruben and written by Michael Kennedy and Christopher Landon, the team behind the 2017 American black comedy slasher film, Happy Death Day, seems to offer a mix of horror and humor.

The film’s synopsis reads: “When the Heart Eyes Killer strikes Seattle, a pair of co-workers pulling overtime on Valentine’s Day are mistaken for a couple by the elusive couple-hunting killer. Now they must spend the most romantic night of the year running for their lives.”

The film also stars Jordana Brewster, Devon Sawa, and Gigi Zumbado.

“Heart Eyes” is set to arrive into theaters this February 7. Watch the trailer below.

Angel Studios’ “Rule Breakers” Theatrical Release Date Set

rule-breakers“Rule Breakers”, Angel Studios’s upcoming women empowerment feature film has set its theatrical release date and has unveiled its official trailer (see below).

Directed by two-time Academy Award winner Bill Guttentag, the film is set for release on March 7, 2025. It stars Nikohl Boosheri as Mahboob and Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The film’s synopsis says: in a place where girls are told their dreams are impossible, one woman risks everything to prove otherwise. Her team of young visionaries earns worldwide recognition, inspiring hope even as danger rises. Together, they must show that determination and bravery can overcome even the darkest obstacles.

Official Trailer for Post-Apocalyptic Romance “Love Me” Released

A new trailer has just been revealed, which giving audiences a look ahead of its theatrical debut.

The movie debuted at Sundance earlier this year, where it was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize.

Here is the film’s synopsis: In a story that spans billions of years, a buoy and a satellite meet online long after humanity’s extinction. As they learn what life was like on Earth, they discover themselves and what it means to be alive and in love.

“Love Me” is set for release later this month on January 31, 2025.

In “Zero Day”, a former U.S. President is called out of retirement to find the source of a deadly cyberattack, only to discover a vast web of lies and conspiracies.

It is created by Eric Newman (Narcos), Noah Oppenheim (Jackie), and Michael Schmidt, a Pulitzer Prize winner.
