Oni Press has unveiled a first look at Tortured Hearts #1, a new EC Comics anthology blending horror and dark romance, set to hit comic shops on February 11.

The oversized one-shot revives EC’s tradition of macabre storytelling through tales centered on obsession, devotion, and the darker side of love. Among the featured stories is “A Pocket Full of Nails,” written by Ann Nocenti with art by Dan McDaid and colors by Michelle Madsen, which draws inspiration from real-life stalking cases involving comic creators.

Tortured Hearts #1 includes contributions from a range of writers and artists, including Jordie Bellaire, Tini Howard, Blake Howard, Amy Roy, Sebastián Cabrol, Fabiana Mascolo, and Arjuna Susini. The issue also features a newly restored classic story from the EC archives by William M. Gaines, Al Feldstein, and Reed Crandall.

Timed for Valentine’s week, the anthology marks EC Comics’ latest collaboration with Oni Press and continues the publisher’s expansion of classic EC horror themes for modern readers.

Image Comics will launch Inferno Girl Red Book Two next month, expanding the Massive-Verse with a new chapter from co-creators Erica D’urso (Immortal Legend Batman) and Mat Groom (Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse). The three-issue miniseries arrives as the larger Radiant Black universe continues to grow across multiple titles.

The series follows Cássia Costa, now established as Apex City’s key hero, as she confronts the emotional fallout of earlier events and faces a new threat posed by the enigmatic Twins. The story promises a mix of action and coming-of-age drama as Cássia uncovers revelations about her powers and her city.

Inferno Girl Red Book Two #1 will be available in comic shops on Wednesday, December 3, with multiple variant covers by D’urso, Luana Vecchio, Tom Whalen, and Daniel Bayliss.

Oni Press will publish Pink Monsters, the U.S. debut of German comics creator Claus Daniel Herrmann, in May 2026, just ahead of Pride Month. The coming-of-age and coming-out graphic novel explores adolescence, self-discovery, and the courage to reject harmful influences.

The story follows Frank, a 14-year-old artist whose monster drawings make him popular at school while he quietly grapples with his sexual identity. When his father’s depression leads the family to a spiritual healer, Frank is drawn into her world of false promises, until her intolerance forces him to choose between family approval and self-acceptance.

A finalist for the Berthold Leibinger Comic Book Prize, Pink Monsters is described as a “graphic medicine” story in the tradition of Fun Home and Lighter Than My Shadow. Herrmann said he hopes readers “find an impressive example of self-determination in a world where others exploit belief to tear down boundaries.”

Image Comics will celebrate the return of Rob Liefeld’s Youngblood this November with a coordinated wave of variant covers spanning 30 ongoing titles. The “team-up” variants will feature characters like Shaft, Badrock, Chapel, and Diehard illustrated by a lineup of top artists including Gary Frank, Ivan Reis, Bryan Hitch, and David Finch.

The campaign precedes the release of Youngblood (2025) #1, marking Liefeld’s return to his signature creation and the franchise’s first new issue under his direction in years. The launch will include 27 retailer exclusives, black-and-white editions, incentive variants, and the 30 crossover covers rolling out across Image’s current catalog.

“Seeing these legendary artists reimagine Youngblood has been the most exciting experience for me as both a creator and a fan,” Liefeld said. Image publisher Eric Stephenson added that the initiative “brings together the full creative energy of Image” ahead of the series’ debut.

Originally released in 1992, Youngblood #1 was the first comic published by Image and remains one of the best-selling independent titles of all time, with over one million copies sold.
