New BTS Images From Suicide Squad Show Off The Props

By Josh Wilding

The marketing blitz for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad continues today via EW’s Instagram account, where photographer Clay Enos (who worked on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and is also hard at work on Justice League), shared several photos from the set of the upcoming DC Comics adaptation. Unlike the stills EW released earlier this week, these ones feature a bunch of the film’s props, giving us some neat BTS shots in the process.

Seen in the gallery above, Enos’ photos show off Ayer immersing himself in the Joker’s massive collection of “toys,” Harley Quinn’s bats and a Joker playing card. Nothing too revealing, but we’ve already seen a hell of a lot from Suicide Squad and at this stage, I think Warner Bros. is better off holding back on new material. After all, we don’t want everything to be spoiled before we even walk into the theatre.

Superman Is the Best Superhero of All Time, Study Says

By Adam Chitwood

It’s a debate as old as time itself—which superhero would beat all other superheroes in a fight? Everyone has their own answer (with caveats galore), but now we’ve got an objective, definitive answer to the question that has perplexed philosophers and scientists for decades.

Students at the University of Leicester (via Gizmodo) have unveiled the results of a seven-year study into the age-old superhero question, and the answer is clear: Superman is the best-equipped superhero of all time.

While Superman landing the title isn’t exactly a shock—he can do basically anything—the runners up may surprise you. Wolverine and Mystique both made solid cases, with Wolverine’s regenerative capacity cited as a major benefit, and Mystique’s mastery of manipulation to aid in disguise working in her favor. Thor also ranks considerably high thanks to the God of Thunder’s energy efficiency—1 throw of Mjolnir can have an energy output of 5.97×1018 J. Inhumans member Black Bolt, meanwhile, likely holds the title of the single most destructive superhero given the energy output that results in planetary annihilation.

Gotham Season 2: What we know so far

Season two of Fox’s “Gotham” will premiere later this month.

By Armando

Fox has been releasing promo materials the past few weeks as we head into Gotham’s second season premiere later this month. Judging from these promos, it appears that Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock will be busier than ever as Gotham’s villains old and new begin to rise to power.

Star Ben McKenzie recently revealed on EW that the show’s story arcs will be more serialized in it’s treatment of villains, as opposed to season 1 wherein new villains were revealed and disposed of in the same episode.

Here’s the official synopsis that Fox released to go along with the announcement of the premiere date.

“The stakes are higher than ever as Gotham explores the origin stories of some of the most ambitious and depraved Super Villains, including The Riddler, The Joker and Mr. Freeze, and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) uncovers more secrets from his father’s past.”

A new promo video can be seen below:

“This is not a red herring,” writer/producer Bruno Heller told E! Online in February. “It’s the beginning of the story of how the Joker came to be, how the Joker was created, where he came from, who he is. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Cameron Monaghan is the Joker. He might be.”

And to fans who have been waiting for Gotham’s season 1 Blu-ray, all 22 episodes will be available on Tuesday, September 8th in glorious 1080p. Additionally, it will also be available for streaming on Netflix beginning September 21st, the same day season 2 premieres on Fox. The 4-disc season 1 on blu-ray will include special features that will not be available via streaming services.

“Gotham” Season 2 premieres Monday, Sept. 21, on Fox at 8 p.m. EDT.
