Mahalia Announces 2024 North America Leg Of The ‘In Real Life’ Tour

Following her UK and EU run this October and November, British musician Mahalia announced today her massive In Real Life Tour will continue to North America this February and March 2024. Produced by Live Nation, the 25-date run kicks off on February 20 at The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC and makes stops across North America in Los Angeles, CA; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; Toronto, ON and more before wrapping up in Chicago, IL at House of Blues on March 26. The second leg will see Mahalia perform her highly anticipated second studio album IRL for the first time live in North America.

IRL is a record that speaks to the musical and emotional era of where Mahalia is now, and how she got here. The BRIT and GRAMMY nominated artist has delivered a beautiful classic; effortlessly condensing any number of disparate styles and genres into music that thrillingly broaches any gap between Pop, Soul, and R&B. The album also includes hit singles “Terms & Conditions,” “Ready,” and “Cheat” featuring pop powerhouse JoJo. An array of incredible musicians are also scattered throughout the record, including vocal appearances from the likes of Stormzy, Joyce Wrice, Destin Conrad, Kojey Radical, and more. Emboldened by her inflections, insights, and young adulthood, Mahalia is not only breaking the mold on her second album but determined to live life c ognizantly and share that experience with her fans on tour.

Here’s the film’s synopsis:
It’s the ultimate showdown between love and the underworld when bride-to-be Courtney runs into a bit of an ex problem: her old flame is none other than the Devil himself, and she knows he’s close.

John Mulaney Announces New Headlining Comedy Tour “John Mulaney In Concert”

Award winning comedian John Mulaney announced today he will be going back on tour solo with a brand new show. The stand-up comedy tour kicks off kicks off on November 2 at the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston, NY making stops across the U.S. in Columbus, OH; New Orleans, LA; Tampa, FL and more before wrapping up in Phoenix, AZ at Arizona Financial Theatre on New Years Eve.

Tickets will be available starting with an artist presale beginning on Wednesday, September 27. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning on Friday, September 29 at 10AM local time at ticketmaster.com.

This event will be a phone-free experience. Use of phones, smart watches and accessories, will not be permitted in the performance space. Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again” Inspires New Program for Developing Artists and Crew

Live Nation has launched “On the Road Again” a new program created with the legendary Willie Nelson to support developing artists and the integral teams that support them.

Developing artists playing in clubs are the backbone of live music. Almost every artist plays clubs at some point in their career. According to live music charts from Pollstar there are 4,000 venues in the United States, and small venues host about 70% of all shows each year.

These hardworking artists are impacted the most as tour costs rise and fluctuate. Even as the music industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, Live Nation wants to do more to help the live music careers of these talented artists, as well as the hardworking crews that operate behind the curtain.

Written and directed by Andrew Haigh, the film Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott find love in the upcoming film All of Us Strangers, a romantic fantasy that is loosely based on the Strangers novel by Taichi Yamada.

Along with Andrew Scott and Mescal, “All Of Us Strangers” also stars Claire Foy (The Crown) and Jamie Bell (Rocketman) .

Here’s the film’s official synopsis: One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry, which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents, appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.

The film is set for release by Searchlight Pictures on December 22, 2023.

Animation Is Film Festival1ANIMATION IS FILM (AIF) announces the 6th edition of its highly anticipated 2023 slate of theatrical presentations, special events, and shorts showcases taking place over five days, October 18-22, in Hollywood. AIF’s Opening Night on Wednesday, October 18 launches with a GKIDS presentation of Studio Ghibli’s THE BOY AND THE HERON, the latest film from legendary filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX. This marks the first time the festival will host a premiere in IMAX at this Hollywood landmark.
