A tenacious Australian teen chases her dreams, and faces her fears, as she sets out to become the youngest person to sail solo around the world.
That is the premise of Netflix’s autobiographical drama “True Spirit”.
In the film, an Australian teenager plans to become the youngest sailor to have travelled the world alone. In doing so, the intrepid 16-year-old not only seeks to fulfil her dream, she also faces her greatest fears at the same time.
The film stars Teagan Croft, Cliff Curtis, Anna Paquin, and Josh Lawson. The film is directed by Sarah Spillane from the screenplay of Sarah Spillane, Cathy Randall.
Netflix is set to release “True Spirit” on February 3, 2023.
Today, at the Television Critics Association’s 2023 Winter Press Tour, Michael Wright, head of MGM+ (formerly EPIX), unveiled a programming lineup and development slate that delivers premium cinematic television and a curated theatrical library, from one of the world’s most enduring entertainment brands.
The newly rebranded premium linear channel and streaming service will launch on January 15 in conjunction with the Season Three premiere of the critically acclaimed drama series Godfather of Harlem, starring and executive produced by Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker and created by Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein (Narcos).

Kenya Barris’ feature film directorial debut is a modern love story set amidst clashing cultures and interfaith relationships.
Co-written by Kenya Barris and Jonah Hill and produced by the two alongside Kevin Misher, the comedy features an all-star ensemble cast including Sam Jay, Elliott Gould, Travis Bennett, Molly Gordon, Rhea Perlman, Deon Cole, Andrea Savage and Mike Epps.
“You People” is set for release on January 27, 2023 by Netflix.

Disney+ is set to release a documentary about comic book legend Stan Lee in 2023. The documentary will showcasing the life of Lee.
Marvel released the news about “Stan Lee Original Documentary” yesterday, which would be Stan Leee’s 100th birthday.
“100 years of dreaming. 100 years of creating. 100 years of Stan Lee.” reads the caption on Marvel Entertainment’s tweet alongside a short trailer for the upcoming documentary.
Lee was the primary creative leader of Marvel Comics and along with artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created superheroes characters such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther and many others.
Lee started his work in the company in the 1960s, and also he became a prominent figure when the Marvel Cinematic Universe took shape. Stan Lee died in 2018 at the age of 95.
The upcoming 71st Miss Universe competition is set to make its move to the streaming world, to Roku Channel specifically.
The streaming service, owned and operated by Roku, Inc., has sealed a one-year deal which will be the official English-language home for the Miss Universe pageant.
“For the first time ever, Americans are watching more streaming TV than cable,” Amy Emmerich, CEO at The Miss Universe Organization, said in a statement. “With this profound shift in the way audiences watch content underway, we’re thrilled to partner with Roku to bring the competition to the streaming world and reach previously untapped audiences across the United States.”
The 71st Miss Universe is also set to stream in Spanish on Telemundo.

Netflix is set to release a That ’70s Show spinoff series called “That ’90s Show” in January 19, 2023. The original Fox sitcom hit “That ’70s Show” ran from 1998-2006.
The show focuses on Eric and Donna’s daughter, Leia Forman, and Kelso and Jackie’s son, Jay Kelso. Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp reprises their roles as Red and Kitty, respectively.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has announced the winners today of the first Annual Children’s & Family Creative Arts Emmy® Awards.
Heartstopper took the most awards of the night, with four, including best guest performance in a preschool, children’s or young teen program (Heartstopper) for Olivia Colman, and outstanding lead performance in a preschool, children’s or young teen program for Kit Connor.
Netflix’s superhero series Kid Cosmic also took multiple awards, winning two for achievement in animation.
NATAS had created the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards to recognize the best in children’s and family television.
The event was hosted by JoJo Siwa (Dec. 10) and Jack McBrayer (Dec. 11) and took place this evening at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

“Night of the Bastard” is set for releasee to select theaters, digital & VOD on January 13, 2023.

Disgruntled hermit Reed lives a solitary life in the desert. After chasing away a group of youths trying to party near his home, Reed’s peaceful life is violently upheaved when a goup of savage cultists lay siege to his house.

In the final years of the Cold War, a Soviet family splinters along East/West lines.
