This gorgeous cover showcases a blood-splattered embrace between killer Lady Carolina and her unwitting prey.

This is the second stealth cover revealed from the groundbreaking Exquisite Corpses horror series, crafted by masterminds James Tynion IV (The Deviant, The Department of Truth), Michael Walsh (Universal Monsters: Frankenstein, The Silver Coin), and the “Corpse Crew” of creators, in collaboration between Tiny Onion and Image Comics—each issue will feature an exciting stealth cover, to be unveiled ahead of each issue. Exquisite Corpses #2 hits shelves this June, with a Final Order Cutoff deadline for retailers this upcoming Monday.

The Old Guard 2: Netflix Drops Explosive Trailer, Sets July 2 Global Release

the-old-guard-2Netflix has dropped the first trailer for The Old Guard 2, confirming the long-awaited sequel will stream worldwide on July 2, 2025. The action-packed follow-up sees Charlize Theron return as Andy, the immortal warrior, alongside her team as they face new threats and unresolved betrayals.

Joining the returning cast is Uma Thurman as Discord, a mysterious First Immortal whose arrival could upend everything Andy has fought to protect. The film also stars KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngô, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Henry Golding.

Directed by Victoria Mahoney, the film picks up after the events of the first movie, with Andy confronting her fading immortality as Quynh (Veronica Ngô) escapes her underwater prison seeking revenge. The movie is rated R and promises intense fight sequences, dramatic confrontations, and the same gritty style that made the first film a hit.

For those interested in exploring the source material, The Old Guard graphic novels by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández are available in trade paperback and hardcover. A special edition, The Old Guard: The Immortal Edition Vol. 1, will also release on July 2 in comic shops and on July 15 at major bookstores.

Academy Award Nominated Costume Designer Arianne Phillips Honored with “Creative Visionary Award”

The 25th Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) and NBFF Premiere Partner, Fashion Island will be honoring 3x Academy Award-nominated costume designer, Arianne Phillips with the esteemed Creative Visionary Award during Fashion Island’s 13th Annual StyleWeekOC on October 19. This accolade recognizes artists for exceptional creative leadership and impact within their field. The award will be presented by actress Aubrey Plaza (“Megalopolis,” “The White Lotus”) followed by a panel moderated by Costume Designer Guild’s communications director Anna Wyckoff, where they will explore Arianne’s unique perspectives on the intersection of fashion and film.

“I’m so thankful to the Newport Beach Film Festival and Fashion Island for this wonderful honor and for acknowledging the art of costume design and our contribution to filmmaking. I am especially grateful to be recognized for my work this year on “Joker: Folie á Deux” and “A Complete Unknown.” I’m humbled to be included alongside such exciting talent at the festival this year,” said Arianne.

On October 28, Arianne will be attending the SCAD Savannah Film Festival where she will join Variety Artisans Editor, Jazz Tangcay for the festival’s annual “Behind Her Lens” panel along with a conversation following a screening of Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux on October 29.

On November 1, Arianne is set to receive the Precious Gem Award at Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival GEMS. The Precious Gem Award is the festival’s signature award, reserved for one-of-a-kind artists whose contributions to cinema are lasting and unforgettable.

Poster And Trailer For Mystery drama “Midnight Taxi”

midnight-taxiDriving a Black Cab night after night is a quiet and simple life for Eddie Carter, but when Eddie’s daytime sleep schedule is disturbed by construction work next door, he finds his nighttime shifts requiring more coffee and exhaustion setting in. After pulling over for a break one night, he awakens to a terrifying situation: ahead of his cab is the body of a murdered woman.

After this gruesome discovery and reporting it to the police, Eddie tries to move on by the sight and his tiredness haunts him. The following night he awakens from a dream of the murder scene to find that he has started sleepwalking again, a condition he suffered from as a child. Panic creeps in as he realises that there is a chance he may have been involved in the woman’s murder.

In an effort to clear his conscience, Eddie starts to quietly investigate the murder on his own. With the help of frequent customer, investigative journalist Adam Blomfield, and high-end escort Karli as a window into the underground world of London’s sex industry, Eddie soon finds himself immersed in the murky depths of a city he’s been blindly driving through for years.
