“Uncle Peckerhead” Set For Release On August 7

Written and directed by Matthew John Lawrence, the film stars Chet Siegel, Ruby McCollister, Jeff Riddle, and David H. Littleton.

Judy, the bassist of punk-rock band ‘DUH’, dreams of traveling the world and becoming a full-time musician with her two friends, guitarist Max and drummer Mel. But when DUH’s van is repossessed hours before they’re set to embark on their first tour, desperation sets in, and Judy strikes an uneasy alliance with a redneck old-timer by the name of Peckerhead, or ‘Peck’, who offers to drive them in his van in exchange for food and gas.

One night after their first show, Peck mysteriously goes missing. Desperate to get back on the road to make their next show, Judy volunteers to look for him. Regrettably, she finds Peck devouring the brains of the promoter who ripped them off earlier. The band quickly comes to realize their new roadie is a cursed, man-eating hillbilly and the “gig life” they’ve always dreamed of is paved with nightmares and half-eaten bodies.

Marvel Unveils World Premiere Of Marvel’s Storyboards This Summer

Marvel’s Storyboards Season 1 will debut for free on Marvel’s YouTube channel and Marvel.com starting Thursday, July 23. Marvel’s Storyboards will feature visionary storytellers including Bobby Lopez, Sasheer Zamata, Taboo, Hugh Jackman, Gillian Jacobs, Johnny Weir, and more.

As a surprise for Marvel fans everywhere, Marvel Entertainment will unveil the world premiere of Marvel’s Storyboards on Thursday, July 23! Fans will be able to tune in to the first season of Marvel’s Storyboards on Marvel’s YouTube channel and Marvel.com this summer – all for free.

Marvel’s Storyboards is a 12-episode non-fiction series following Joe Quesada, EVP, Creative Director of Marvel Entertainment, as he explores the origin stories and inspirations of storytellers of all mediums, backgrounds, and experiences at their favorite spots throughout New York City and beyond. Mysterious Challengers Emerge To Face Off Against The X-Men In “X Of Swords”

X OF SWORDS, the next great X-Men crossover, kicks off this September and rages on in October with Chapters 3-11. Over the last few days, the covers for the October chapters were unveiled, and fans got their first look at the X-Men’s newest foes in Pepe Larraz’s cover of X OF SWORDS: STASIS #1.

This mysterious group of swordbearers come from the land of Arakko, and the X-Men will have to draw swords of their own to defend the new mutant nation of Krakoa. Arakko and its visitors are shrouded in mystery, and none more so than the group’s leader. While her identity remains classified, her story is sure to shock X-Men fans everywhere.

New TV Series Set in the World of ‘The Batman’ Coming to HBO Max

Matt Reeves’ Gotham City is about to get a whole lot bigger.

HBO Max announced today that it’s given an original series commitment to a new drama from The Batman director Matt Reeves, Boardwalk Empire creator Terrence Winter, The Batman producer Dylan Clark and Warner Bros. Television. The show will focus on the Gotham City Police Department and perhaps best of all, will be set within the world of Reeves’ upcoming film.

Batwoman: The CW Casts Javicia Leslie As New Series Lead for Season 2

The CW has found its new Batwoman. Actress Javicia Leslie (God Friended Me) will take over the lead role in Batwoman Season 2.

As previously reported, The CW isn’t recasting the Kate Kane role following Ruby Rose’s abrupt departure from Batwoman. Instead, Leslie has been cast as a new character named Ryan Wilder.

‘Euphoria’ Creator, Zendaya Filmed Secret Movie with John David Washington During Pandemic

“Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson shot a secret movie in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic with actors Zendaya and John David Washington, Deadline reports. The film is titled “Malcolm & Marie” and filmed between June 17 and July 2 at the Caterpillar House in Carmel, California. While shot in secret, guilds such as the WGA, DGA, and SAG-AFTRA reportedly all approved the production and the cast and crew filmed under strict Covid-19 safety protocols.

A plot synopsis for “Malcolm & Marie” has not been released, although Deadline reports the film has “some echoes of Netflix’s ‘Marriage Story,’ while resonating [with] a number of social themes which the world is experiencing right now.” The production was all contained in one location at the Caterpillar House, described as “an environmentally-conscious glass architectural marvel” and “the first LEED Platinum Custom Home on California’s Central Coast.” The location “allowed the production to use very little air conditioning or heat with the home’s glass doors providing fresh air.”

Chris Hemsworth Will Undergo ‘Insanely Physical’ Training For Hulk Hogan biopic

Chris Hemsworth’s preparations for the Hulk Hogan biopic will be “insanely physical”.

The ‘Thor: Love & Thunder’ actor signed up to portray the wrestling legend last year and though the movie is a long way off going into production, the 36-year-old star is already thinking about the body transformation he’ll need to undergo to look the part.
