Jason Bateman and Jude Law Lead Netflix Thriller Black Rabbit

black-rabbitNetflix will debut the limited series Black Rabbit on September 18, 2025. The eight-episode drama stars Jason Bateman and Jude Law as brothers caught in the chaos of New York City’s nightlife.

Law plays Jake Friedken, the owner of Black Rabbit, a high-end restaurant and lounge poised to be the city’s next hot spot. His brother Vince (Bateman) re-enters the business unexpectedly, reopening old wounds and bringing new threats that put both the family and the club in jeopardy.

The series is created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, with Bateman and Law among the executive producers. Episodes are directed by Bateman, Laura Linney, Ben Semanoff, and Justin Kurzel. The cast also includes Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Troy Kotsur, Abbey Lee, Dagmara Dominczyk, and Odessa Young.

All episodes of Black Rabbit will be available to stream September 18 on Netflix.

Season 4 of The Morning Show Premieres September 17 on Apple TV+

the-morning-showApple TV+ has set September 17, 2025, for the premiere of season four of The Morning Show, its Emmy-winning media drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. The 10-episode season will debut with a single episode, followed by weekly installments through November 19.

The new season begins in the spring of 2024, nearly two years after the events of season three. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the newsroom faces new challenges in a climate shaped by deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate cover-ups. Questions of power, loyalty, and trust once again take center stage, as characters navigate shifting alliances inside a polarized America.

Returning cast members include Aniston, Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, and Jon Hamm. New additions to the ensemble include Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, and Boyd Holbrook.

Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt returns alongside executive producers Mimi Leder, Michael Ellenberg, Aniston, Witherspoon, and others. Season four continues the series’ pattern of reimagining the newsroom in the wake of seismic professional and political changes.

Netflix Sets October Premiere for Season 3 of The Diplomat

the-diplomat-netflixNetflix has announced that the third season of The Diplomat will premiere on October 16, 2025. The political thriller stars Keri Russell as Kate Wyler, a career diplomat whose professional responsibilities frequently collide with her personal life.

The new season picks up after the events of season two, which ended with the death of U.S. President William Rayburn and the sudden rise of Vice President Grace Penn (Allison Janney) to the presidency. Wyler and her husband Hal (Rufus Sewell) are among the few who know the circumstances surrounding Penn’s actions and their consequences, setting the stage for new tensions inside the White House. Bradley Whitford also joins the cast this season as Penn’s disgraced husband Todd.

Created by Debora Cahn, The Diplomat has been praised for its mix of espionage, political intrigue, and character-driven drama, with the first two seasons earning strong critical and audience reception. Season three continues to expand the show’s focus from international crises to the highest levels of U.S. politics.

The Diplomat season three premieres globally on Netflix October 16.

Peacock Brings Twisted Metal Season 2 to Comic-Con with Sneak Peek and Bumper Car Chaos

twister-metalPeacock rolled into San Diego Comic-Con with high energy on Thursday, previewing Twisted Metal Season 2 with a fan-filled panel and a demolition derby-style bumper car experience. The upcoming season of the post-apocalyptic action-comedy premieres July 31 with three new episodes, followed by weekly drops through August.

Cast members Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Seanoa, and Anthony Carrigan joined executive producers Michael Jonathan Smith and Asad Qizilbash in Ballroom 20 to discuss what’s ahead. The conversation hinted at bigger stakes and new characters, including the introduction of Calypso, a twisted figure at the center of the deadly vehicular tournament that drives the show’s second season arc.

After the panel, fans were invited to a Twisted Metal-themed activation where show-inspired bumper cars recreated the mayhem of the series. Mackie and Beatriz made surprise appearances, even handing out PlayStation 5 consoles to a few attendees.

Season 2 picks up as John and Quiet enter a lethal competition filled with explosive rivalries and returning threats, including the masked killer Sweet Tooth and John’s estranged sister, now known as Dollface. The show, a blend of dark humor and chaotic action, continues its reinterpretation of the classic PlayStation franchise.

Spartacus: House of Ashur Panel Brings Blood, Memory, and Laughter to Comic-Con 2025

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, Spartacus: House of Ashur stormed into San Diego Comic-Con with a packed panel in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront. The event featured showrunner Steven S. DeKnight alongside stars Nick E. Tarabay (Ashur), Graham McTavish (Korris), Tenika Davis (Achillia), Jordi Webber (Tarchon), Jamaica Vaughan (Hilara), and Jaime Slater (Cornelia). Liam McIntyre, who played Spartacus in the original series, served as moderator.
McIntyre opened the panel by asking the audience for a round of applause in honor of Andy Whitfield, the original Spartacus who passed away in 2011, to which fans responded with a long ovation.

The teaser trailer for the series revealed Ashur’s return in an alternate history where his betrayal earned him ownership of the ludus. “What if betrayal wasn’t a sin, but currency?” DeKnight teased, hinting at the show’s mix of gladiatorial spectacle and political intrigue.

Asked whether the new series would match the notorious tone of the original, DeKnight smirked: “If you’re wondering if House of Ashur is going to be as sexy as Spartacus… I think you already know the answer.”

The panel mixed heartfelt tributes with bawdy jokes and playful banter among the cast, giving fans a taste of the chaotic energy they can expect when Spartacus: House of Ashur premieres on Starz this winter.

AMC Expands Anne Rice Universe with The Vampire Lestat and Talamasca at Comic-Con

AMC brought fresh updates from its Anne Rice Immortal Universe to San Diego Comic-Con, spotlighting the next chapter of Interview with the Vampire, now titled The Vampire Lestat, alongside its new series Talamasca.

During the Vampire Lestat panel, cast members Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, and Eric Bogosian joined showrunner Rolin Jones and composer Daniel Hart to preview the upcoming season. Along with returning actors Delainey Hayles and Assad Zaman, the series adds Jennifer Ehle (Gabriella), Ella Ballentine (Baby Jenks), Jeanine Serralles, Christopher Heyerdahl (Marius), and Damien Atkins (Magnus) to the ensemble. Bogosian, who plays journalist Daniel Molloy, will also appear in Talamasca, creating the franchise’s first crossover character.

Later, AMC introduced Talamasca, a series focused on a secret society that monitors supernatural activity. Executive producers Mark Johnson, John Lee Hancock, and Mark Lafferty were joined by stars Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, and Celine Buckens. A teaser trailer and a first scene were shown. The show will premiere October 26 at 9PM ET/PT.

Both series are part of AMC’s expanding Immortal Universe, following the critical success of Interview with the Vampire, which has earned multiple award nominations and back-to-back seasons with high acclaim.

“Upload” Cast Brings Humor and Heart to Comic-Con Farewell Panel

The cast and creators of Amazon Prime Video’s sci-fi comedy hit “Upload” took the the Comic-Con stage Friday, celebrating the show’s journey, and teasing what’s to come in its fourth and final season. The actors spoke about the show’s exploration of identity, technology, and human connection.

Moderated by The Office’s Brian Baumgartner, the panel featured creator Greg Daniels alongside stars Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, Allegra Edwards and Kevin Bigley, for a fast-paced, funny and at times emotional look back at the show’s exploration of identity, technology, and human connection.

A sneak peek from Season 4 was screened for fans, featuring Alicia (Zainab Johnson) in a hilariously unexpected new role.

One particularly memorable moment came when Amell, Allo, and Edwards rolled up sleeves to show off matching tattoos they got after filming wrapped.

The cast reflected on how their characters had changed, from Ingrid’s evolution beyond a high-maintenance villain to Luke’s surprising emotional depth beneath the comic relief.

Toward the end, Daniels revealed the cover of a new comic book titled Prefera, a digital-afterlife-themed story he’s working on with artist Tom Hoskisson and writer Izzy Kadish. The comic’s concept appears to echo Upload’s core ideas.

The most emotional moment came from Andy Allo, who paused to acknowledge how long the journey had been: “Seven years later, we’re finally here,” she said. “And we get to finish this with all of you.”

‘Gen V’ Season 2 Brings Surprises and Cameos to Comic-Con 2025

Ballroom 20 lit up Friday afternoon as Gen V stormed into Comic-Con with an electrifying panel. Cast members joined showrunner Michele Fazekas to debut the Season 2 trailer, packed with crowd-pleasing reveals, including surprise cameos from The Boys. Erin Moriarty’s Starlight and Chace Crawford’s The Deep drew cheers, while Black Noir II made a brief but notable appearance.

Fazekas confirmed that Gen V picks up right after The Boys Season 4, with Homelander now ruling America. “Now we get to see what that looks like,” she said, hinting at tensions both on campus and nationwide as resistance begins to stir.

New characters were also revealed, including Hamish Linklater’s unsettling Dean Cipher and Ethan Slater as the university’s namesake, Dr. Thomas Godolkin. The trailer also showed off Zach McGowan’s Dogknott, briefly, and violently.

One of the panel’s most emotional moments came as the cast honored the late Chance Perdomo. Rather than recast, the show wrote his character Andre out, with a heartfelt “For Andre” line in the trailer delivered by Sean Patrick Thomas.

The hour ended on a high with a surprise peek at The Boys Season 5, teasing grotesque new supes and unexpected appearances by Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins.

New Spy Thriller “Butterfly” to Premiere August 13 on Prime Video

butterflyAmazon MGM Studios has released the official trailer for Butterfly, a new six-episode series set to stream starting August 13, 2025.

The series stars Daniel Dae Kim as David Jung, a former U.S. intelligence operative now living in South Korea. The plot follows Jung as he becomes the target of a sociopathic assassin named Rebecca, assigned to kill him by a covert agency called Caddis.

The show is based on the 2015 graphic novel by Arash Amel and is co-created by Ken Woodruff (Gotham) and novelist Steph Cha, who also serve as executive producers alongside Kim. Kitao Sakurai directed the first two episodes.

The ensemble cast includes Reina Hardesty, Piper Perabo, Charles Parnell, Kim Ji-hoon, Kim Tae-hee, Sung Dong-il, Lee Il-hwa, Sean Dulake, and others. According to the creators, Butterfly will focus on psychological tension, espionage, and family dynamics rather than conventional action tropes.

The series aims to blend American and Korean perspectives in its storytelling and production.
