Zoé Announce U.S. Album Release Tour

The iconic Mexican rock band Zoé have announced an extensive U.S. tour in support of its new album ‘Sonidos de Kármatica Resonancia.’ Produced by Live Nation (NYSE: LYV), the 26-date tour launches with two nights at the House of Blues – Chicago in late August and wraps up in Anaheim, CA in mid-October. When the band had finished touring behind their Grammy winning album ‘Aztlán‘ in 2019, lead singer León Larregui felt a sudden urge to return to the recording studio right away.

“I preferred taking advantage of the momentum we had built together and work on Zoé’s seventh album,” Larregui explains. “The idea was to cut the new tracks fairly quickly. We got to work and soon enough we had finished demos for eight songs. Then the pandemic hit, and the world turned upside down.”

The crisis hit the band members hard, putting their plans on hold. But there was a silver lining. Now complete after a turbulent creative process that lasted well over a year, the aptly titled ‘Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia’ may very well be Zoé’s most artful, mature and fully realized work to date.

“It was only a couple of weeks ago that [guitarist and co-founder] Sergio Acosta sequenced the songs and I got to hear the entire album as a whole,” Larregui explains. “For the first time, I got a clear vision of what we had achieved in these difficult times. I think it’s one of our best albums. You can definitely hear a more mature Zoé coming through.”

“Fiel” Becomes World’s Most Streamed Latin Hit On Spotify

The single was recorded in the mountains of Cayey, Puerto Rico, at Wisin’s record label’s studio, La Base Music, and was released via Walter Kolm’s WK Records in February.

Lead Single From Mortal Kombat Soundtrack Released

WaterTower Music has announced the April 16 release of the soundtrack to New Line Cinema’s new movie “Mortal Kombat.”

The film brings to life the intense action of the blockbuster video game franchise in all its brutal glory, pitting the all-time, fan-favorite champions against one another in the ultimate, no-holds-barred, gory battle that pushes them to their very limits.

The film is helmed by award-winning Australian commercial filmmaker Simon McQuoid, marking his feature directorial debut, is set for release nationwide in theaters on April 23 and will be available in the U.S. on HBO Max in 4K UHD, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos on supported devices for 31 days from theatrical release. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Announces MTV VMAs Date & Location

It’s happening! The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards are a go. Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York made the announcement during his Monday (June 29) press briefing, telling viewers that the annual ceremony would be held in Brooklyn.

As the governor announced that New York City would be entering Phase III of reopening on July 6, he shared the unexpected news. “The Video Music Awards are going to be held Sunday, Aug. 30, at Barclays Center,” he said.

The slide displayed at the time also noted that “the event will follow all safety guidance, including limited or no audience.”

Today, Live Nation announced their first ever U.S. drive-in concert series — LIVE FROM THE DRIVE-IN — will bring fans a live music tailgating experience unlike any other, kicking off July 10-12 in Indianapolis, IN, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO.
