The New Mutants have reunited under the banner of Krakoa, but they won’t be staying in the new home for long! Their first mission: retrieve their errant comrade Cannonball from the depths of space. Joined by former Generation X members Chamber and Mondo, the New Mutants head for the stars, but quickly come into conflict with both the Shi’ar and the Starjammers.

Announced today at MCM Comic Con London, Robert E. Howard’s swashbuckling heroine, Dark Agnes, will helm her very first comic series. Dark Agnes will be making her Marvel Comics debut this December in CONAN: SERPENT WAR, introducing this beloved swordswoman to a new generation of readers, before taking off on her own adventures in February’s DARK AGNES #1.

The five-issue limited series will depict the journey of Agnes de Chastillon as she frees herself from an arranged marriage to live the dangerous life of a sellsword in 16th-century France. Joined by Etienne Villers, the mercenary pair’s daring exploits will be penned by writer Becky Cloonan(THE PUNISHER) with art by Luca Pizzari(WEAPON X, BLACK KNIGHT).

Announced this past weekend at New York Comic-Con’s Retailer Panel, artist Marcelo Ferreira has signed an exclusive agreement with Marvel Comics. Known for his work on books like WAR OF THE REALMS: PUNISHER, FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN, and ABSOLUTE CARNAGE VS. DEADPOOL, Ferreira has already garnered praise from fans and critics alike for his takes on some of Marvel’s most iconic characters.

Now he’ll be bringing Morbius the Living Vampire to life with writer Vita Ayala in an all-new ongoing series debuting in November. Proven to be a powerhouse in delivering fearsome action sequences, Ferreira’s skills will no doubt make MORBIUS’ struggles and adventures more frightening than they’ve ever been before!

“I have been working with Marvel for the past 12 months, and I am nothing but thrilled that I have been offered this exclusive deal,” says Ferreira. “Starting with MORBIUS, I am sure we will be able to deliver great comics to the fans for another year and on!”

Star, an exciting addition to Marvel Comics’ legendary lineup of super heroes, will have her very own limited series this January. Announced at the NYCC Retailer Panel, the breakout character from the pages of CAPTAIN MARVEL will be starring in her own adventure, written by current CAPTAIN MARVEL scribe and Star’s creator, Kelly Thompson.

Star had her first appearance this past July in CAPTAIN MARVEL #8 and the mystery surrounding her identity combined with a stunning character design from artist Carmen Carnero had readers clamoring to learn more about who she was.

“The excitement surrounding Star has been really fun to watch,” says Kelly Thompson. “And there’s still a big surprise coming in CAPTAIN MARVEL #11 later this month…and it’s the kind of surprise that sort of DEMANDS a mini-series like this to explore the mysteries surrounding her and her importance and potential in the larger Marvel Universe.”

“The whole CAPTAIN MARVEL team loved the character from the beginning, but the fan and retailer response to her has been overwhelming. In all of the posters, the film’s official title, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), is replaced with a much shorter “BOP HQ”.
