Image Comics has revealed the eerily-toned cover artwork that will set the vibe for the highly anticipated series W0rldtr33 from bestselling writer James Tynion IV (The Department of Truth, The Nice House on the Lake, Something is Killing the Children) and his Razorblades collaborator artist Fernando Blanco (Detective Comics, Catwoman). First teased in the pages of the Image! 30th anniversary anthology, the new thriller is set to launch in April from Image.

“I think W0rldtr33 might be the most frightening thing I’ve ever written,” said Tynion IV. “This story has been living in my head for such a long time, and I’m thrilled that Fernando, Jordie, Aditya, and I are finally going to bring it all to life.”

Image Comics has revealed a new cover by Sean Phillips for the highly anticipated Night Fever by multiple Eisner Award winning duo Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips (Reckless, Pulp, Criminal, and Kill or Be Killed) with colors by Jacob Phillips (That Texas Blood). This original graphic novel will hit shelves in June from Image Comics.

“Just when I thought I couldn’t get more excited about this new book, Sean decided to do a completely different cover and surprised me with it in my inbox this morning,” said Brubaker. “This book already has the best art he and Jake have done so far together, and now he’s designed and painted this enigmatic cover that perfectly fits the tone of the book: Beautiful darkness. Emma Kubert—the artist behind Frank Miller’s Pandora and Image Comics’ Inkblot and Radiant Pink series—will bring readers a whimsically twisted new tale in the upcoming, Stoneheart. This new ongoing action/adventure fantasy series is set to launch in March 2023 from Image Comics.

Fan-favorites Peter J. Tomasi (Batman and Robin, Superman, Black Adam: The Dark Age, Super-Sons, Detective Comics) and Maxim Šimić (Escape from New York, Worlds Apart) team up for Blood Tree, an all-new ongoing series set to launch from Image Comics in February 2023.

In Blood Tree, two obsessed NYPD detectives hunt for a vicious butcher called the Angel Killer, a sociopath who preys on the innocent family members of known murderers in order to “purify” the rest of society.

This new story confronts the battle of nature versus nurture, considers how present and future generations are tainted by past generations, and asks the age-old question: Who must pay for the sins of the fathers—and perhaps even the sins of the mothers?

“I always wanted to take a shot at writing a taut and haunting crime drama in the tradition of Silence of the Lambs meets Seven,” said Tomasi.
