Fan-favorite writer T.P. Louise and artist Ashley Wood’s beloved, boundary-pushing Lore comic will be remastered and made available as three deluxe, extra-length, and fully re-lettered issues this May from Image Comics.
A unique mix of prose and sequential storytelling, Lore follows Jennifer Bradley’s journey to solve the mystery of her father’s death. But her search grows increasingly bizarre when what she discovers threatens not just her existence, but the entirety of modern society, too.
“Our intent was to bring my love of myth and the supernatural and use it as a backdrop for the timeless daughter relationship journey,” said Wood. “Lore a love letter to the ’70s TV show In Search Of… with its abstract and unusual families. Artistically, its version two of the art style I started when developing Hellspawn.”
Two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated, Emmy, and BAFTA Award-winning composer Bear McCreary will join forces with writer Mat Groom (Supermassive, Inferno Girl Red, Self/Made), artists Ramón K. Pérez (Stillwater, Deep Cuts), Danilo Beyruth (Deep Cuts), Matias Bergara (Eisner Award nominated The Scumbag), Rod Reis (C.O.W.L.), Eleonora Carlini, Helena Marsellis, John J. Pearson (The Infernals), and more, with creative director Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black, Moon Man, Deep Cuts), for the upcoming graphic novel, The Singularity.
This standalone story will hit shelves in May, be produced by Black Market Narrative, published by Image Comics, and tie-in with McCreary’s forthcoming concept album—of the same name—which was just announced this morning.

The great French-Mauritian director Med Hondo’s spectacular cinematic odyssey “West Indies: The Fugitive Slaves Of Liberty” (1979) will run at Film Forum in a new 4K restoration from Friday, March 22 through Thursday, March 28.
Adapted from Daniel Boukman’s Les Négriers (The Slavers), a play which Hondo directed in Paris in the early 70s, WEST INDIES: THE FUGITIVE SLAVES OF LIBERTY tells the story of French imperialism as a musical extravaganza.
Aboard an enormous hand built wooden slave ship acting as a multipurpose set, the film traverses the West Indies, Europe, and the Middle Passage, spanning over 400 years. Dynamic, intricately choreographed reenactments depict the effects of official French policy upon the colonized, the enslaved, and their descendants. Surveying the actions and motivations of the resigned, the revolutionary, and the powers that be (along with their lackeys), WEST INDIES is a call to arms for a spectacular yet critical cinematic reimagining of an entire people’s history of resistance and struggle.
At $1.3 million, it was the biggest-budget African production ever, as well as the continent’s first musical. Hondo, who wished “to free the very concept of musical comedy from its American trade mark” remained resolute in his vision, refusing to alter the script and rejecting funding offers from Warner Brothers and MGM when they asked for changes. Today the nonprofit Sundance Institute announced eight storytellers selected for the 2024 Momentum Fellowship. Now in its sixth year, Momentum continues its mission of fostering professional growth for mid-career artists, emphasizing professional development opportunities during a critical juncture in their creative journey.
The fellowship specifically targets mid-career artists hailing from historically marginalized backgrounds, offering them tailored support and resources. It is led by the Institute’s Women at Sundance and Artist Accelerator programs.
The fellowship supports creators working in fiction or nonfiction who have recently achieved a noteworthy accomplishment, such as a highly regarded feature film or series.
Momentum provides participants with a full-year program of customized support around current goals they identify for themselves to level up in their craft and career, including an unrestricted artist grant; professional coaching offered by Renee Freedman & Company, supported by The Harnisch Foundation; and connection to the Sundance Institute’s ELEVATE professional development track with exclusive workshops and sessions. GRAMMY award-winning, multi-platinum rock band Kings of Leon are kicking off 2024 with a string of major announcements. Alongside news of a new label partnership with Capitol Records, the band has announced their upcoming 9th full-length studio album, Can We Please Have Fun, out on May 10. The hard-charging lead single, “Mustang” is available now, accompanied by a high-flying music video that sets the pace for the album. Kings of Leon also announce a 2024 World Tour.
Can We Please Have Fun, as its title suggests, is a document of one of this era’s great rock & roll bands cutting loose, trying new things, and, yes, having some fun. The science fiction action comedy film is directed by Eli Roth (Thanksgiving).
Here, Lilith (Blanchett), an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Ramírez), the universe’s most powerful S.O.B. Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits – Roland (Hart), a seasoned mercenary on a mission; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound protector; Tannis (Curtis), the oddball scientist who’s seen it all; and Claptrap (Black), a wiseass robot.

The 3x GRAMMY Award-winning duo, Dan + Shay, has just announced the extension of their highly anticipated 2024 The Heartbreak On The Map Tour. Produced by Live Nation, this tour is set to expand with 30 new dates that will feature support from Jake Owen and Dylan Marlowe.
The tour aptly receives its title from “Heartbreak On The Map,” the third song, and early fan-favorite on the duo’s fifth studio album, Bigger Houses.
The first leg of the tour is set to kick off on February 29, 2024, in Greenville, SC with support from acclaimed singer-songwriters Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters.
Tickets to the newly announced stops will be available starting with presales beginning today at 11am local time and a Dan + Shay presale at 12pm local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning February 23 at 10 AM local time.

“Blackout” is set to open for a one week exclusive NYC theatrical engagement at IFC Center on March 13th, which will feature special cast appearances and a Q&A. The film will be released nationwide on digital platforms and VOD on April 12th.

Painter Charley (Alex Hurt, Minyan, TV’s New Amsterdam) wakes up in an upstate motel where he appears to have been living for some time. After he packs and leaves he encounters various people in the small town where everybody knows your name. Charley is saying goodbye to the estranged love of his life, Sharon (Addison Timlin, Submission, TV’s American Horror Stories), and settling his affairs with a manic urgency that culminates with a call to a friend, Earl (Motell Gyn Foster, Marriage Story, A Dog’s Way Home), saying: “You better be ready, I’m coming.”
But Charley never makes it to his friend’s house: When the sun goes down he has convulsions while driving his car, goes off the road and ends up in a ditch. Charley, it seems, is a werewolf. He attacks his rescuers and moves through the outskirts of town at night wreaking havoc. But the next day he can’t remember the things he’s done. Now the tight-knit town must rally to find out what is tearing it apart: mistrust, fear, or a vicious monster.
Gravitas Ventures has acquired the drama/thriller BREAK, directed by Will Wernick (Follow Me), for worldwide rights and distribution and sets spring 2024 theatrical release date for April 26th in 120 theatres across the United States and Canada.
