A tale of a young boy who befriends an injured wolf may sound somewhat familiar, but what makes “Alpha” special is that its set during the Ice Age.
Now, Sony Pictures has released a second trailer, highlighting more on the relationship between the young man and the gray wolf, and the bond they forged to survive. Also released is a new poster for the film.
Though just as epic as the first, the new trailer is lighter and has a more feel-good tone. And that might have done the trick. The trailer is beautiful to look at, as well as uplifting.
Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Leonor Varela and Jens Hultén, and directed by Albert Hughes, “Alpha arrives in theaters on Aug. 17.
