Brad Paisley To Headline Live Nation’s First Ever ‘Live From The Drive-In’ Concert Series In The U.S. With Darius Rucker, El Monstero, Jon Pardi, Nelly, And Yacht Rock Revue

Today, Live Nation announced their first ever U.S. drive-in concert series — LIVE FROM THE DRIVE-IN — will bring fans a live music tailgating experience unlike any other, kicking off July 10-12 in Indianapolis, IN, Nashville, TN, and St. Louis, MO. Brad Paisley will headline performances in all three cities, marking the start of a much anticipated return to in person live events. Darius Rucker and Jon Pardi will also headline the series in Nashville and Nelly along with hometown legends El Monstero will headline in St. Louis, while Jon Pardi and local favorites Yacht Rock Revue will headline in Indianapolis.

Live Nation is reimagining the live music experience during a time of social distancing by allowing fans to enjoy concerts in a one-of-a-kind drive-in setting from their own private tailgating zones next to their cars. Live From The Drive-In will start off with events at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN and at Live Nation venues Ruoff Music Center in Indianapolis, IN and Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis, MO. Fans can expect contactless ticket scanning through their window when they pull into the venue and then will be shown to their designated tailgate area where they can park and enjoy the show from their own marked-off space. There will be dedicated buffer space around each vehicle to ensure social distancing measures. All artists will be performing full live sets on stages set up in the parking lots of each of the venues. The events will also feature full LED screens and speakers throughout so fans can enjoy a truly live concert experience.

Why the Canon EOS R6 is shaping up to be a more exciting camera than the EOS R5

In sport, it’s nearly always an advantage to have been your family’s second-born – and so it appears to be with the Canon EOS R6, which is due to follow its elder Canon EOS R5 sibling at a launch event in July.

The full-frame mirrorless camera hasn’t actually been confirmed by Canon, but some apparently leaked specs seem to show that, just like Serena Williams and Andy Murray, the EOS R6 might just be more exciting (and, ultimately, successful) than its nearest sibling.

Of course, it’s a little early to be making definitive conclusions about the EOS R6. And it’s not as if the camera is going to be objectively ‘better’ than the EOS R5 – the latter will be Canon’s full-frame mirrorless flagship, after all, and has rightly attracted all the headlines for confirmed specs like 8K video capture and in-body image stabilization (IBIS).

‘Spider-Man’ writer says James Cameron made Hollywood take superhero genre seriously

Throughout the 1990s, James Cameron fought long and hard to make his very own Spider-Man film.

Unfortunately for Cameron, and cinema fans, even though he was attached to write and direct a Spider-Man film for Carolco Pictures, the Oscar winner ultimately left the project after years of legal battles over the rights.

Ultimately, Columbia Pictures won this fight, which resulted in Sam Raimi’s 2002 Spider-Man blockbuster. However, screenwriter David Koepp has revealed that he was still heavily inspired by Cameron’s work, especially when it came to Hollywood taking Peter Parker, and the superhero genre in general, seriously.

Wonder Woman is meeting one of DC’s greatest villains.

Gal Gadot returns to her superheroine in the first clip of HBO Max’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

In the clip, Wonder Woman approaches a mural of the supervillain Darkseid, one of Superman’s adversaries. Darkseid was originally intended to be Snyder’s main villain in the film before he was replaced by Joss Whedon with Steppenwolf, one of Darkseid’s minions. Whedon took over for Snyder on the 2017 film after he stepped down following the death of his daughter.

After Wonder Woman views the mural, the clip cuts to the aforementioned villain on the planet Apokolips where he gathers a massive army.

‘Snyder Cut’ First Look: Wonder Woman Discovers Darkseid in New ‘Justice League’ Clip

Director Zack Snyder debuted a sneak peek of the mythical “Snyder Cut,” his unreleased version of the 2017 superhero film “Justice League.”

The clip, which runs at 34 seconds, puts the spotlight on Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman as she discovers the villainous Darkseid.

In a voiceover, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor ominously says, “The bell’s already been rung, and they’ve heard it. Out in the dark among the stars. Ding dong. The god is dead.”

Darkseid was intended to be the main antihero in “Justice League” but was replaced with the character Steppenwolf in the final version.

Denis Villeneuve to Film Extra ‘Dune’ Footage in August, but No Release Delay Planned

“I saw some things cut together and it just looks amazing,” Oscar Issac says of the movie.

Denis Villeneuve is preparing to shoot additional footage on “Dune” this August in Europe, Deadline confirms. Per the report: “The team is planning to head back to Budapest, Hungary, where the movie shot in 2019 at Origo Film Studios. Filming has also taken part in Jordan and Norway, and initially wrapped back in July last year.” Cast member Oscar Isaac confirmed the new shooting plan in an interview with Deadline.

“We’re going to do some additional shooting in mid August…they’re saying in Budapest in Hungary,” Isaac said. “I saw some things cut together and it just looks amazing. Denis [Villeneuve] is a real artist and it will be exciting to see it come together. It’s kind of wild that we’re doing some additional shooting a few months before it’s supposed to come out, but that happened with Star Wars as well.”

Nickelodeon Just Announced That SpongeBob SquarePants Is Gay

In news that will perhaps be unsurprising to many, Nickelodeon just appeared to make the announcement that the beloved children’s TV character SpongeBob SquarePants is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.

The network marked Pride month with a post on Twitter, stating that it was “Celebrating #Pride with the LGBTQ+ community and their allies this month and every month,” accompanied by artwork of SpongeBob, Schwoz Schwartz from Henry Danger, and Korra from Avatar: The Legend of Korra, all in rainbow-tinted hues.

Korra is canonically queer within the world of Avatar, having embarked on an explicitly romantic on-screen relationship with her best friend, Asami Sato. It is unclear, however, whether Nickelodeon were referring to the “community” or “allies” when it came to those pictures of Schwoz and SpongeBob — but the internet has already made up its mind that after 20 years of iconically camp behavior, S.B. is finally, officially out of the closet.

Legendary ‘Batman’ Writer And DC Comics Editor Denny O’Neil Dead At 81

O’Neil worked for many years at both DC and Marvel Comics.

Denny O’Neil, a legend in the comic book industry who worked for both DC Comics and Marvel as an editor and writer, died Thursday at the age of 81 from natural causes.

O’Neil was born in 1939 and previously worked as a reporter in Missouri before penning a series of articles about the comic book industry in the mid-1960s that led to a career at Marvel and then at DC.

Over the course of more than three decades, O’Neil worked at both publishers, writing and overseeing stories starring a wide range of superheroes, from Superman to Doctor Strange.

Pictures is partnering with exhibitors to invite audiences around the world to celebrate the 10th Anniversary re-release of Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed box office sensation “Inception” on July 17. This special anniversary theatrical event will also give audiences a never-before-seen look at footage from Nolan’s highly anticipated film “Tenet,” which will debut worldwide two weeks later, on July 31. HBO Max boss says Justice League Snyder Cut “not a precedent” after fans call for Suicide Squad Ayer Cut

Following the success of #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, fans have been calling on Warner Bros. to release David Ayer’s director’s cut of Suicide Squad. Speaking on The Vergecast, however, HBO Max boss Tony Goncalves rubbished fans’ hopes, saying their Justice League plans are “not a precedent” for other fan campaigns.

Following the streaming platforms’ announcement that Zack Snyder will release his cut of the critically-panned Justice League movie next year, Suicide Squad director David Ayer has been calling for the same treatment. Ayer posted on Twitter : “My cut would be easy to complete. It would be incredibly cathartic for me. The film I made has never been seen.”

This frank admission led to fans calling on the studio to #ReleaseTheAyerCut. Yet, they may have to campaign a little harder for anything to come to fruition. “Look, [the Snyder Cut] definitely [is] not a precedent,” HBO’s Goncalves said. “There’s different types of fandoms.
