Legendary Songstress Anita Baker Announces 2023 Tour DatesEight-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Anita Baker, The Songstress, has announced a special run of live dates for 2023. The Songstress’ tour, produced by Live Nation, will bring her to 15 cities kicking off on February 11th at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL making stops across the U.S. in Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston, and more before wrapping up in Oakland’s Oakland Arena on December 23rd.

The tour celebrates Baker’s 40 years as a music icon in the industry since the release of her debut album, The Songstress, was released in 1983. These dates mark the first time she has been on a full tour since 1995 and it is also the first time The Songstress will be performing her classic hits live since winning back the rights to her masters.

Baker, born in Toledo, OH, and raised in Detroit, MI, is one of the most popular singers of soulful ballads during the height of the quiet storm period in the 1980s. Starting her career in the late 1970s with the funk band Chapter 8, Baker released her first solo album, The Songstress, in 1983. In 1986, she rose to stardom following the release of her Platinum-selling second album, Rapture, which included the Grammy-winning single “Sweet Love.”

Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival Set To Return To San Diego

The three-day Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival is set to return to San Diego’s waterfront on Nov. 18-20, 2022.

The three-day festival will kick off featuring more than 80 bands from different musical genres across eight stages that are uniquely positioned along the iconic waterfront location of America’s Finest City.

This includes three-time Grammy Award winner and multiplatinum solo artist Gwen Stefani, four-time Grammy-winning rock band The Kings of Leon, three-time Grammy-winning country music performers The Zac Brown Band, and two-time BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Award winner Schoolboy Q.

The eight named stages are the Events.com Headliners Stage, the Pot of San Diego Stage and the Sugarshack Sessions Stage that are all located at Embarcadero Marina North Park; the Coors Light Stage and the ImmerXion Stages, located at the Seaport Village; the TUStreams Stage and The Silent Disco Stage at the Ruocco Park, and the Spirit of San Diego Marietta Stage at the 5th Ave. Landing.

The festival gets underway on Friday, Nov. 18. Doors open at 2:30 on Friday with the first acts on stage at 2:45 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 19 and 20, doors opens at 12 noon each day with bands and artists performing on both daays from 12:30 to 10pm.

In the final years of the Cold War, a Soviet family splinters along East/West lines. Henry Cavill And Eiza González Set To Lead WWII Action Spy Flick

Henry Cavill at ComiconHenry Cavill and Eiza González have been tapped to lead “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” under the direction of Guy Ritchie, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.

The film will reunite Cavill and Ritchie, who worked together in the 2015 spy film “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”

The project was initially announced back in 2021, and is currently set to start shooting next year. Based on Damien Lewis’s book Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, the film tells the story of real-life secret combat organization that was created by Winston Churchill and James Bond creator Ian Fleming which conducted unconventional ‘ungentlemanly’ operations against the Nazis.

Cavill recently announced that he will be exiting from Netflix’s “The Witcher” where he starred as Geralt of Rivia for three seasons. The actor also confirmed last week that he is returning Superman, s following his cameo in the new Warner Bros-DC film “Black Adam.”

Eiza González wasa recently seen in Michael Bay’s “Ambulance” nad wwill will next be see in Netflix’s sci-fi pic The Three Body Problem and Scott Z Burns’ Extrapolations for Apple TV+.
