“Ghost Adventures” Anchors Travel Channel’s Annual “Ghostober” Event With Chilling Four-Part Miniseries and Iconic Two-Hour Halloween Special. ‘Serial Killer Spirits’ Investigates the Haunts of America’s Most Notorious Serial Killers in Four-Part Special

Zak Bagans and the “Ghost Adventures” team – Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley – investigate iconic locations that are hotbeds of creepy and unnerving hauntings in all-new October specials that will air during Travel Channel’s “Ghostober” event, which features 31 days of spine-chilling premieres.

The four-part miniseries, “Ghost Adventures: Serial Killer Spirits,” tackles the question: does evil linger? Exploring haunted locations associated with infamous serial killers, the team seeks to document whether malicious energy has been left behind by these sadistic killers and their evil acts.

A two-hour Halloween special, “Ghost Adventures: Halloween 2019” (wt), takes the team to Rhode Island for an unforgettable lockdown inside the real-life home that inspired the iconic horror film, The Conjuring. The home’s hauntings were also made famous by renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

“I’ve investigated a lot of places, but these locations are absolutely terrifying on a whole other level,” said Bagans. “To walk in the same footsteps as these serial killers, where some of the most notorious acts of evil were committed – it severely affects you. The residual energy alone is palpable. And the real-life house that inspired the Conjuring movies – I’m speechless! That has a been a dream of mine to investigate for years and I can’t believe it’s finally happening. It’s beyond legendary. I can’t wait for viewers to experience this terrifying adventure with us.”

“Supernatural” Stars Bid Emotional Farewell At SDCC 2019

Supernatural has been a staple at the annual fan convention at San Diego throughout its run, and on Sunday, the cast bid an emotional and bittersweet farewell ahead of their 15th and last season.

“I’m trying not to cry. Can we all just start crying so I don’t feel so weird?” said Jared Padalecki, one of the series’ co-lead.

“It really is hard to express the takeaway from the experience. 14 years and change is a long time,” Ackles said. “This guy was just in his early 20s, you were just born.”

Other cast-members Misha Collins Alexander, as well as executive producers Robert Singer, Andrew Dabb, Eugenie Ross-Leming, Brad Buckner, and Bob Berens were also present, with co-stars Richard Speight Jr. and Rob Benedict co-moderating the panel.

Panel also clips from each of the 14 seasons, featuring some of the show’s most memorable scenes and catch-phrases which were greeted with cheers from fans in attendance. After the Q&A, the panel also gave away a replica of the 1967 Chevrolet Impala driven by the Winchester brothers in the series and which Dean Winchester refer to as “Baby.”

But it was towards the end of the panel that it hit everyone at Hall H that it really is ending. “Thanks for showing up,” Ackles said, “Without you, we wouldn’t be here. It’s an amazing thing to see this many faces who appreciate what we do.”

“I’m the luckiest man on the planet, my cup floweth over. Thank you guys very much, I’m going to miss you,” an emotional Padalecki said.

The longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series, the show has gained a big following throughout is record breaking run. Created by Eric Kripke, the show recently celebrated its 300th episode and will eventually have aired 327 episodes when all is said and done.

“Supernatural” fifteenth and final season is set to premiere on October 10, 2019.

Stunning New Trailer For TBS’ Snowpiercer Revealed at SDCC

The first trailer for TBS’ post-apocalyptic, sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer was just revealed at Comic-Con International.

TBS presented a panel featuring Oscar® winner Jennifer Connelly, Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs, Emmy nominee Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Tony Award winner and Grammy nominee Lena Hall, Steven Ogg and executive producer and showrunner Graeme Manson.

The session included an exclusive first look at this riveting television adaptation based on the critically acclaimed film of the same name.

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually moving train that circles the globe. The series will premiere in Spring 2020 on TBS.

Snowpiercer is produced by Tomorrow Studios (a joint venture between Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios), along with CJ Entertainment, who produced the original film. The series is executive produced by Tomorrow Studios’ Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements; showrunner Graeme Manson, who wrote the first episode; director James Hawes; Matthew O’Connor; Scott Derrickson, and the original film’s producers Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Tae-sung Jeong, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi.

“Star Trek: Picard” Beams First Trailer To San Diego Comic-Con

“Star Trek’s” Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco Announced to Reprise Their Iconic Roles in “Star Trek: Picard” During Surprise Hall H Appearance

Moments ago at San Diego Comic-Con, Sir Patrick Stewart treated “Star Trek” fans attending the “Star Trek” Universe panel to the first trailer for STAR TREK: PICARD and shocked the audience by bringing out surprise guests and “Star Trek” icons Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco, announcing they will be appearing in STAR TREK: PICARD.

In addition to the surprise guests, it was revealed that “Star Trek’s” Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis will make appearances in the new series as well. During the panel, it was also announced that STAR TREK: PICARD will premiere in early 2020 exclusively on CBS All Access in the U.S.

The STAR TREK: PICARD portion of the “Star Trek” Universe panel, moderated by Deadline’s Dominic Patten, featured a conversation with cast members Sir Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard), Isa Briones (Dahj), Santiago Cabrera (Cristobal “Chris” Rios), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Alison Pill (Dr. Agnes Jurati), Harry Treadaway (Narek) and Evan Evagora (Elnor), alongside executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman and Heather Kadin as well as supervising producer Kirsten Beyer. They were joined on stage by surprise guests Brent Spiner (Commander Data), Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) and Jonathan Del Arco (Hugh).

In addition, it was announced that Jonathan Frakes (Commander William T. Riker) and Marina Sirtis (Counselor Deanna Troi) will make appearances in the new series.

Game of Thrones, Mrs. Maisel Lead 2019 Emmy Nominations

‘Game of Thrones’ – HBO

Game of Thrones not only led the 2019 Emmy nominations, it also set a record in the process. The HBO fantasy drama received 32 nominations, the most in a single year and breaking the record set by NYPD’s 26 noms back in 1994.

Also doing great were Amazon’s comedy “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” with 20 nominations, HBO’s “Chernobyl” with 19, and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” with 18 nods.

Overall, HBO led the network race with a total of 137 nods, followed by streaming giant Netflix with 117.

The nominations were announced by D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place) and Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians) on Tuesday morning. The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards is set to be presented on FOX on Sunday, September 22. The show’s host has not yet been announced.

The Saturn Awards Announces 2019 Nominations

Nominations for the 45th annual Saturn Awards, honoring motion picture, television, home entertainment and live stage productions, were announced today. A beloved event for many of Hollywood’s top creative talent, the awards show will be available for the first time ever to global fans via a streaming partner, to be announced shortly. All 2019 Saturn Awards winners will be unveiled at the official ceremony on Friday, the 13th of September at the historic Avalon Theater in Los Angeles.

Leading the way with 14 Saturn Award film nominations is Marvel/Walt Disney Studio’s Avengers: Endgame, and Walt Disney Studio’s Aladdin in second place with nine. For television and streaming, HBO’s Game of Thrones leads with nine nominations, with The Haunting of Hill House and The Walking Dead following second with six nominations each. As a studio overall, Disney leads with 44 nominations among 12 film and television projects across its various companies, Marvel, Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm Ltd. and the Disney Channel.

As part of the show’s revitalization in 2019, the Saturn Awards has moved from its traditional June date to Friday the 13th of September. To accommodate this change, the eligibility window for this year’s nominations is based on a 16-month eligibility period, which includes projects publicly released from March 1, 2018 through July 7, 2019. The 46th annual Saturn Awards will be held at the end of summer/early fall 2020 and will resume a 12-month eligibility period.

SDCC 2019: Comedy Central is Heading to Comic Con with South Park and Crank Yankers Events

Comedy Central will descend upon San Diego Comic-Con with an awesome array of events from South Park and Crank Yankers.

The festivities kick-off on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. with a no-badge-required, free and open to the public South Park activation at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Dr. #120) located directly across from the Convention Center, and a Crank Yankers immersive fan experience on Thursday, July 18 inside the Convention Center at Booth #3729.

The #1 brand in comedy will also present a Crank Yankers panel on Thursday, July 18 at the Hilton Bayfront in the Indigo Ballroom at 6:45 p.m.

The South Park Bigger Longer Uncut Mini-Golf activation will be revealed to fans on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center. The 9-hole golf course is an homage to the iconic movie with each hole themed to celebrate the 20thanniversary of South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut.

The activation will also feature four limited-edition South Park t-shirts, with a different shirt available each day for fans to purchase during a limited window.

The South Park fan activation is free and open to the public from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21.

Dazzling and Strange: Thom Yorke Ponders Love and Angst on Anima

Over 20 years since the release of the seminal album, OK Computer, Radiohead singer, Thom Yorke still maintains his creative peak. In tandem with his newest solo record, Anima, the singer has partnered with director, Paul Thomas Anderson to produce a short film to accompany the record. The result is a sleek, modern, and quintessentially Thom Yorke experience, starring the musician in his own dystopian world of angst and anxiety.

Available exclusively on Netflix, the film, also titled Anima gives viewers a glimpse into Yorke’s mind and showcases three songs from the record. The feature has no dialogue and is almost reminiscent of a silent film.

The first shots start in the grey-washed interiors of a subway. Passengers nod in and out of a trance-like sleep, and we see Yorke doing the same thing. It’s a surrealist scene as one by one the passengers awaken to life. Yorke stirs awake and makes eye contact with his muse across the car, played by his real-life partner, Dajana Rocione.

The ensemble exits the train and begin a stylish and artistic dance performance. Yorke’s ghoulish falsetto fits perfectly in place with the scene; dreamlike and mystifying. Human forms rive and abstract into odd shapes around Yorke as he searches for the girl he lost on the train.

First Look At Geralt And Cast Of Netflix’s “The Witcher”

As Netflix gears up for the release of its highly anticipated fantasy drama TV series, “The Witcher,” the streaming service has now release a series of cool new images showing its characters.

Here we got a first look at a badass Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, Yennefer, played by Anya Cholatra, and Ciri played by Freya Allan.

Also released is the series’ first poster and the first look at the series logo.”The Worst Monsters Are The Ones We Create,” it says.

“The Witcher” is based on a book series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.

Geralt is the titular Witcher in the short stories, novels and video games which takes place in medieval fantasy setting. He is one of the last witchers, a trained monster slayer for hire to slay deadly monstrous beasts.

Cavill recently played a CIA assassin in this summer’s blockbuster hit Mission: Impossible – Fallout starting Tom Cruise. He also portrayed Superman in WB/DC Comics’, Batman v Superman and Justice League.

“The Witcher” is expected to premiere this year on Netflix.

Here’s the series’ synopsis from Netflix:
“Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”
