Rock star and composer YOSHIKI continues his latest string of chart-topping hits with his newest song “Imitation Rain,” which was written and produced for the SixTONES, a new Japanese vocal group gaining international buzz as the “next BTS.”

The single – written and produced by YOSHIKI – sold over 1.3 million physical units in less than a week after its January 22 release and scored the #1 position on the Oricon singles chart (Japan), marking the first time ever that a debut artist has achieved 1.3 million in sales.

The first-week sales numbers shocked audiences and the music industry, with massive CD sales considered nearly impossible in the digital music age. Fans stood in line for hours to purchase copies of the CDs, with major retailers selling out due to overwhelming demand.

Sammy Hagar & The Circle, comprised of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson, are joining forces with Whitesnake, formed by former Deep Purple singer and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer David Coverdale with guitarists Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra, drummer Tommy Aldridge, bassist Michael Devin and keyboardist Michele Luppi, for a 2020 summer tour featuring a setlist of some of the biggest hard-rocking hits of the past four decades. Produced by Live Nation, the outing will kick off July 9th in West Palm Beach, FL at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre and make stops in Tampa, Cincinnati, Dallas, Phoenix and more, before wrapping September 20th in Chula Vista, CA at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre. Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G. and T-Rex are among musical acts inducted in this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Also joining them are artist managers Jon Landau and Irving Azoff. They will be presented with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Among the 16 finalists who failed to make the cut were Pat Benatar, Judas Priest, Dave Matthews Band, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Todd Rundgren, Kraftwerk, MC5, Motörhead, Soundgarden, and Thin Lizzy.

The Dave Matthews Band snub is particularly surprising after dominating the fan vote with more than 1 million votes.

The 35th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be presented by Klipsch Audio and is set to broadcast live on Saturday, May 2, 2020 from Public Auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio. Special guests are yet to be announced.

Pearl Jam will release their much-anticipated eleventh studio album, Gigaton, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records on March 27, 2020 in the US. Internationally, the album will be released and distributed by Universal Music Group. Produced by Josh Evans and Pearl Jam, Gigaton marks the band’s first studio album since GRAMMY award-winning Lightning Bolt, which was released on October 15, 2013.

“Making this record was a long journey,” explains Mike McCready. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Gigaton’s cover features Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and marine biologist Paul Nicklen’s photo “Ice Waterfall.” Taken in Svalbard, Norway, this image features the Nordaustlandet ice cap gushing high volumes of meltwater.
