Tron: Ares Sets Disney+ Streaming Debut

ares-disney-plusTron: Ares, the latest installment in Disney’s long-running sci-fi franchise, will make its streaming debut on Disney+ on January 7, bringing the Tron universe back to screens more than a decade after Tron: Legacy.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, the film expands the series’ exploration of the digital “Grid,” centering on Ares, a highly advanced program sent from the virtual world into the real one. The storyline frames the mission as humanity’s first direct encounter with artificial intelligence beings, positioning the film within ongoing cultural conversations about AI and technology.

Tron: Ares will be available in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+, preserving the expanded aspect ratio and sound mix originally designed for theatrical exhibition. The film features a new original score by Nine Inch Nails, continuing the franchise’s emphasis on electronic music as a defining element of its atmosphere.

The release also coincides with renewed availability of Tron (1982) and Tron: Legacy (2010) on the platform, allowing viewers to revisit the series’ evolution ahead of the new chapter.

Feeld’s 2025 Report Shows How Digital Platforms Are Reshaping Modern Intimacy

feeldFeeld, the dating app focused on nontraditional relationships and sexual exploration, has released its annual RAW 2025 report, offering a data-driven snapshot of how desire, identity, and connection are shifting across cities and generations.

Drawing on user behavior from around the world, the report points to a continued loosening of rigid sexual labels, with heteroflexible emerging as the fastest-growing sexuality on the platform, up nearly 200 percent year over year. The data suggests that users are increasingly comfortable occupying gray areas between established identities rather than committing to fixed definitions.

The report also highlights changing attitudes toward intimacy and masculinity, including a sharp rise in interest among cisgender men in practices once considered niche or taboo. According to Feeld’s data, cities such as Miami, Seattle, and Berlin are among those where alternative relationship structures and evolving power dynamics are most visible.

Geography plays a central role in the findings. Urban centers like Berlin and Portland consistently rank high for open relationships and sexual experimentation, while cities in Brazil top the list for more traditional or “vanilla” preferences. The contrast underscores how local culture, infrastructure, and social norms continue to shape how people explore intimacy, even on global digital platforms.

Cloud Dancer, the Pantone color of the year for 2026.Pantone

Pantone has unveiled Cloud Dancer, a soft white neutral, as its official 2026 Color of the Year, marking a notable shift toward subtlety after years of saturated and expressive tones.

Described by the Pantone Color Institute as a “calming, aerated white” that embodies clarity, serenity, and creative renewal, Cloud Dancer reflects what the organization sees as a cultural move toward quiet focus and intentional simplicity. The shade is positioned as both versatile and expressive, able to harmonize with softened palettes or provide crisp contrast across fashion, interiors, product design, and digital spaces.

Pantone’s annual selection, launched in 1999, draws on global research across design, technology, culture, entertainment, and emerging visual trends. According to the Institute, Cloud Dancer represents a desire for a fresh start in a world negotiating rapid digital acceleration while seeking deeper human connection.

The announcement follows recent picks such as Mocha Mousse (2025), a warm, comforting brown, and Peach Fuzz (2024), a soft peach tone symbolizing gentleness and wellbeing.

As Pantone describes it, Cloud Dancer is a “pared-back, reflective white that encourages balance and creative expression”, a quiet statement hue chosen for a moment defined by transition.

Adobe Winds Down XD: No Future Development Planned

adobe-xdBy Armando

While Adobe hasn’t issued a formal press release announcing the end of Adobe XD, its recent actions and lack of future plans make the direction clear: XD’s development is over.

In mid-January 2024, Adobe updated its official support page, stating: “We’re not investing in ongoing development or shipping new features within the product. We will continue to support existing customers by addressing bugs and updating any security or privacy needs.” Around the same time, following the collapse of the Figma deal in December 2023, Adobe also told The Verge: “We have no plans to further invest in XD.”

Together, these updates confirm that Adobe XD is now in maintenance mode, with new feature development effectively paused.

Launched in 2016, Adobe XD was Adobe’s answer to Sketch and later Figma — a dedicated tool for wireframing and prototyping. It gained some traction with Creative Cloud users, but lost ground as Figma’s real-time, browser-based platform became the industry standard. The collapse of Adobe’s $20B Figma deal in December 2023 only underscored the shift: XD is no longer part of Adobe’s future.

XD is still available through the Creative Cloud All Apps plan, but it’s no longer sold standalone, and no new features are expected.

For many designers, the writing has been on the wall for some time. The tool isn’t gone yet, but it’s no longer moving forward.

St. Mercy: Godland Leaps Into A New Era Of Obsession – The Gods Of The Golden Age Of Hollywood

St-Mercy--GodlandTop Cow Productions, Inc. is set to partner with EP1T0ME Studios, Inc. once again for the forthcoming St. Mercy: Godland, to be published by Image Comics. In this new, four-issue installment of the hit action/adventure comic book series—by writer John Zuur Platten (Jurassic World: Evolution, Wanted: Weapons of Fate) and artist Atilio Rojo (Cyber Force, A.R.C.) with lettering by Troy Peteri—Mercy will be catapulted from the dangers of the Incan Empire and the American West into the ruthless, golden era of 1930s Hollywood.

“No matter where Mercy goes or what era she’s in, she can’t escape her curse,” said Platten. “In Godland, while the setting shifts from the Wild West to what was then called Hollywoodland, Mercy’s unwanted duty remains the same—protect the Incan gold, death be damned.”

Rojo added: “Mercy is relentless; we cannot wait for readers to reunite with her, to see our version of 1930s Hollywood, to meet the new cast from that era, and to experience the wild action scenes.”

“Mercy’s journey feels unique and unexpected,” said Lee Thomas, Creative Director at EP1T0ME. “[It] reminds us of the eclectic journeys of Game of Thrones’ Arya Stark or Quantum Leap’s Sam Beckett.”
