‘Pressure’ Trailer: Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser Face the Decision That Shaped D-Day

Brendan Fraser in ‘Pressure.’ Focus Features

Focus Features has released the official trailer for Pressure, a World War II drama opening exclusively in theaters May 29.

The film centers on the tense hours leading up to D-Day, focusing not on the battlefield but on the decision-making behind it. Andrew Scott plays Captain James Stagg, the meteorologist whose weather forecast would determine whether the Allied invasion of Normandy could proceed. Brendan Fraser co-stars as General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the man tasked with making the final call.

Rather than depicting combat, Pressure unfolds largely in strategy rooms and weather stations, building tension around conflicting forecasts and the weight of sending hundreds of thousands of soldiers into uncertain conditions.

The cast also includes Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, and Damian Lewis. The film is directed by Anthony Maras and is based on David Haig’s stage play of the same name.

Pressure opens in theaters May 29. Watch the trailer below.
