Its the 80s and there’s a serial killer in the neighborhood. Four teenage kids are out to investigate it. No, we’re not talking about supernatural creatures as in “Stranger Things” and or “It” remake this time, but it does ring a bell.Gunpowder & Sky has released a new trailer for “Summer of 84” and its full of nostalgic thrills and and chills, complete with an 80s tunes of synth music soundtrack, giving viewers an idea of what the film has in store.
Its a great time for nostalgic horror fans right, and “Summer of 84” seem aimed at an audience that has made similarly theme horror films that’s come out lately.
Co-directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell from a screenplay by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith, the film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The fil stars Graham Verchere, Judah Lewis, Caleb Emery, Cory Gruter-Andrew, Tiera Skovbye, and Rich Sommer.
Gunpowder & Sky is set to release “Summer of 84” on August 3, 2018.

Summer, 1984: The perfect time to be 15 years old and care free. But when neighborhood conspiracy theorist Davey Armstrong begins to suspect his police officer neighbor might be the serial killer all over the local news, he and his three best friends begin an investigation that soon turns dangerous.
