Hadestown was the big winner at Sunday night’s 2019 Tony Awards, taking home eight awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. The Ferryman also had a great night, winning four awards including Best Play.
The Glee Project‘s Ali Stroker won best featured actress in a musical for her role in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!”.
“This award is for every kid who is watching tonight who has a disability, who has a limitation or a challenge, who has been waiting to see themselves represented in this arena. You are.”
For the second time, James Corden hosted the event, live from Radio City Music Hall and aired on CBS.

Due to overwhelming demand, a third and final show has been added on Saturday, October 5 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring the Eagles – Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Deacon Frey and Vince Gill – performing their iconic album “Hotel California” in its entirety, for the first time in the band’s career.
