“THE G” Revenge Thriller Sets Release To UK Cinemas

The-GUK film outfit Lightbulb Film Distribution has announced that “The G” will be released in UK & Irish cinemas nationwide from Friday 21st June.

Written and directed by Karl R. Hearne, the film stars Dale Dickey (Winter’s Bone, Hell Or High Water) and Romane Denis.

The UK premiere took place at Glasgow Film Festival.

In the film, a mysterious older woman seeks revenge on the corrupt legal guardian who destroyed her life.

Lightbulb has also shared a first-look of the theatrical poster.

THE G will be coming to UK & Irish cinemas on 21st June.

“Gangster’s Kiss” New Trailer For New British Crime Comedy Thriller

a-gangsters-kissGangster’s Kiss is set for release in the UK this summer, Fugitive Films and Pink Flamingo Media Group announce. Directed by Ray Burdis, the British Crime/Comedy will be available on Digital Download from 24th June.

The film stars Charlie Clapham, John Hannah, Patsy Kensit, Sadie Frost, Michelle Collins, Martin Kemp, Vas Blackwood, Perry Benson, Sophie Rankin, Michael Head, Ray Burdis, Daniel O’Reilly, David Schaal & Lady Colin Campbell.

She was nominated for Best Directorial Debut at Camerimage Film Festival 2017 for I’m Not Here. Her short film Dr. Vanostrand won Best Black Comedy in the National Film Challenge and The Floor was a semi-finalist in the Sundance/Sci-Fi Channel’s Short Film contest.

Lionsgate is set to release the movie this week in Theaters, on digital and on demand on Friday, May 17.

Release Date And Trailer Premiere For “Kill Your Lover”

Kill-Your-LoverDark Sky Films has released the trailer for “Kill Your Lover”, a horror film from writer-director-producers Alix Austin and Keir Siewert.

The film stars Paige Gilmour, Shane Quigley Murphy, May Kelly, Chloe Wigmore, and Joshua Whincup.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:

Dakota and Axel’s relationship is a toxic mess. She knows it, everybody does…except Axel. The only thing is, until Dakota tries to break up with Axel, she doesn’t know how truly toxic it will become. The mere idea of splitting up causes Axel to become intensely ill, sprouting grotesque black veins and excreting a strange sticky liquid. His touch burns flesh and his need to hang onto Dakota becomes irrationally powerful.

Nobody is going to take her away from him, not even the paramedics that Dakota calls to deal with Axel’s rapidly worsening condition. The two grapple with what remains of their once passionate relationship – and how what was built on sexual passion and punk rock could end with blood spilt, lives lost and at least one heart broken, literally.

Kill Your Lover is set to be released in select theaters and nationwide on digital platforms and VOD on June 7th from Dark Sky Films.

“Boneyard” Starring Mel Gibson, 50 Cent Official Trailer Released

boneyard-mel-gibson-50-centLionsgate has released the official trailer for “Boneyard”, the upcoming film from director Asif Akbar (The Commando, Nevada Heist).

Inspired by true events, the upcoming crime thriller stars Brian Van Holt, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Nora Zehetner, Michael Sirow, and Mel Gibson.

“Boneyard” follows an FBI special agent and the Albuquerque police department hunt for a serial killer nicknamed The Bone Collector. The chief of police and one of his officers, however, believe someone in the department may be the killer.

Boneyard is set for release in US theaters on July 5, and on VOD in the US and Canada on July 2, 2024.

“The Girl In The Trunk”: Claustrophobic Thriller Set for US & Canada Digital Release This May

The-Girl-In-The-TrunkWednesday 1st May, London, UK: Sunrise Films have announced the release of their upcoming claustrophobic horror/thriller The Girl in the Trunk. The film is set to be available on all major digital platforms in the USA & Canada from 28th May.

Starring Caspar Phillipson (Jackie, Blonde) and Katharina Sporrer (Genius), this thriller is written and directed by Jonas Kvist Jensen.

In the film, a woman finds herself kidnapped and entrapped in the enclosed space of a speeding car’s trunk, wearing her wedding dress, and with her phone as the only available tool. The situation deteriorates gradually as a failed escape attempt costs the life of an innocent bystander.

With the clock ticking towards a slow death from heat exhaustion in the Texas desert, a psychotic kidnapper at the wheel, Amanda is forced to make her own luck in the end. A dangerous game of questions and deadly consequences – to be played over the phone with the mysterious kidnapper – seems the only way to maybe discover his true identity, getting help or simply fighting her painful way towards a fleeting chance of escape.

“Trap” Trailer: M. Night Shyamalan’s Last Featuring Josh Hartnett

trapWarner Bros. released a trailer for the M. Night Shyamalan’s newest thriller, “Trap.”

The trailer follows a father and his daughter a pop concert. “This is literally the best day of my life,” she exclaims. Later they “realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event,” per the logline.

Unlike the usual Shyamalan film, the trailer seem to have given away the story’s twist, though its very possible that the director have more up his sleeves.

The thriller features Josh Hartnett as a serial killer at a pop star’s concert. Also in the film are Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill.

Trap is set to hits theaters Aug. 9.

“Faceless After Dark” Official Trailer And Poster Art Released

“Faceless After Dark” is set for release nationwide in select theaters and on digital platforms on May 17th.

Also in the film are Danny Kang (Insatiable, NCIS Hawai’i), Danielle Lyn (Mayfair Witches, Single Drunk Female), Max Calder (Stranger Things,Jungle Cruise), Michael Aaron Milligan (TV’s Outer Banks, TV’s The Purge), Kathrine Barnes (Average Joe, Queer as Folk), Jason MacDonald (The Vampire Diaries, NCIS), Israel Vaughn (The Righteous Gemstones).

Zoe Saldaña in ‘The Absence of Eden’ Trailer

The-Absence-of-EdenRoadside Attractions has released an official trailer for its upcoming border thriller “The Absence of Eden”, which stars Zoe Saldaña and Garrett Hedlund.

‘The Absence of Eden’ is the directorial debut of Saldaña’s husband, Marco Perego, who wrote the film along with Rick Rapoza.

In the film, an ICE agent struggling with the moral dilemmas of border security and an undocumented woman fighting to escape a ruthless cartel cross paths and work together to save the life of an innocent girl.

Also in the film are Adria Arjona, Chris Coy, David Bortolucci, Tom Waits.
