Dave Matthews Band and Weezer will headline the third annual Innings Festival, returning to Arizona’s Tempe Beach and Tempe Arts Park, February 29 – March 1, 2020.

The two-day event will feature 18 artists on 2 stages, including performances from Portugal. The Man, Death Cab for Cutie, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, O.A.R. and more, as well as curated food vendors and fun family activities.

Fans can look forward to numerous appearances by Major League Baseball greats including Jake Peavy, Bret Saberhagen, Miguel Montero, Aaron Rowand and more, as well as the return of Off the Mound with Ryan Dempster, an on-site talk show featuring MLB players and musicians on the lineup. On the heels of releasing his new song “10/10” last week, Rex Orange County returns to announce his new album. Pony is due October 25th via Sony Music and is the highly-anticipated follow up to 2017’s Apricot Princess. The album was written, recorded, and performed almost entirely by Rex himself at Strongroom Studios in East London with frequent collaborator Ben Baptie co-producing, engineering and mixing the album.

Today Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer, three of the biggest acts in rock music, announced they will be heading out on the road together for the first time ever on THE HELLA MEGA TOUR presented by Harley-Davidson. To celebrate the tour reveal, all three bands will perform a historic show tonight at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles.

The global tour kicks off June 13, 2020 in Paris and will visit cities across Europe and the UK throughout the month including Glasgow, London, and Dublin. Produced by Live Nation, the 20-city North American outing will bring the bands to some of the most renowned stadiums including Dodger Stadium, Wrigley Field, Citi Field, Fenway Park, and more. Beginning July 17 in Seattle, WA, the outing makes stops in Houston, Miami, Toronto, New York and more, before wrapping August 29 in Philadelphia, PA. More dates will be announced. The Interrupters will appear as special guest on the tour.

Today internationally revered rock band Guns N’ Roses announced the special guests appearing on their enduring and monumental Not In This Lifetime Tour, revving back up on September 25th. Bishop Gunn, Blackberry Smoke, Dirty Honey, Shooter Jennings, and Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown will open for GNR on select dates throughout the fall run.

The legendary group returns to the U.S. later this month – their first time touring the United States in 2019. Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) celebrated the 22nd annual Conducting Workshop for Visual Media Composers with a final scoring session at Nathan Barr’s Bandrika Studios in Tarzana, California on August 24. The workshop provided eight rising composers the chance to hone their conducting skills under the direction of award-winning conductor and composer Lucas Richman.

Over a two-week period, the selected composers participated in several training sessions focusing on proper beat patterns, tempo changes and cueing, as well as one-on-one conducting experience with Richman. At the finale, the selected composers conducted film cues by Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams, to picture, with a 32-piece orchestra.

This year’s class of participant composers included Jongnic Bontemps (United Skates), Kris Bowers (Green Book), Ryan Elder (Rick and Morty), Sage Lewis (Operator), Jason Nesmith (The Ellen DeGeneres Show), Adam Schoenberg (Graceland), Kevin Smithers (Monster Island) and Dara Taylor (Colewell).

“The BMI Conducting Workshop is a coveted experience for a reason. Lucas Richman is indescribably great at teaching you, supporting you, and pushing you out of your comfort zone. After two weeks of personalized instruction, technique study, and a bit of soul-searching, his students not only feel more comfortable on the podium, but also enhance their musicality, leadership skills, and connection with the music and musicians,” said Dara Taylor, BMI composer. “Thank you, BMI and Lucas, for an experience I’ll cherish and utilize for the rest of my musical life.”

The series is produced by BMI’s Director Creative – Film, TV & Visual Media, Philip Shrut in collaboration with Richman, who has helped curate BMI’s Conducting Workshop for more than two decades to propel hundreds of BMI composers to conduct their own scores.
