Winner of Cannes’ coveted Palme d’Or, director Bong Joon-ho’s comedy thriller film has so far grossed $127 million worldwide, including more than $20 million in the US, an impressive haul for a foreign-language film.

Film.

The decision to convert the film in black and white follows previously acclaimed films that received the same treatment. In early 2016, it director George Miller announced the release of the black and white version of his acclaimed action epic “Mad Max: Fury Road”. A year later, James Mangold did the same with “Logan Noir,” the black-and-white version of Logan, the final installment in the Wolverine trilogy.

There’s no word yet on whether the version will be available on the film’s Blu-Ray release, which is set on January 28th.

Thrilling “Tenet” Trailer Released

By Creative Media Times

Director Christopher Nolan returns to his time-traveling roots, this time within the world international espionage in “Tenet,” with the film’s first trailer released today.

Like many of Nolan’s film, there is not a lot of details about the plot of the upcoming action thriller, which Nolan also wrote, as well as produced with Emma Thomas.

Here we see John David Washington as a mysterious agent of a top-secret group who may (or may not) be trying to prevent World War III. There’s plenty of cryptic dialogue, a car chase and a few things going in reverse that recall Nolan’s other mind-bender, 2010’s blockbuster Inception.

The film is stacked with big-name talents including Robert Pattinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debicki.

Last month, Warner Bros. also announced that a longer prologue for Tenet will be shown before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in some IMAX screenings, something the studio also did with Nolan’s other films including “The Dark Knight,” “The Dark Knight Rises,” and “Dunkirk.”

Tenet is set for release on July 17th, 2020.

By Armando

Paramount Pictures

Maverick is set to return to theaters and to the cockpit in next summer’s Top Gun: Maverick, and today Paramount Picture has unveiled a new trailer that fully embraces original’s thrills and nostalgia.

Cruise looks very much in his element, understandably given the role and the 1986 original literally put him on top of Hollywood. This sequel picks up decades after that film.

The new trailer didn’t completely reveal the film’s plot, but we do know now that this time around Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is back to the naval school as a captain teaching aviation and the tricks of the trade.

Miles Teller is also in the film as pilot trainee Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, the son of Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, Maverick’s late friend.

“His exploits are legendary. What he has to teach you may very well mean the difference between life and death,” we hear in the new clip.

The new trailer is also heavy on action, featuring some heart-pounding and hyper realistic air combat, and shots of fighter jets leaving trails of smoke as they spinning through the skies, a factor that made the original a classic and inspired a generation of aviators.

Fans of the original should recognize a version of “Top Gun Anthem” playing the background. The iconic instrumental theme for the 1986 film, which was in the original film’s best-selling soundtrack, was composed by Harold Faltermeyer & Steve Stevens. It eventually won Best Pop Instrumental Performance at 1987 Grammy Awards.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film co-stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer who will reprise his role as Vice Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky.

The film co-stars Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer reprising his role as Iceman.
