Paramount+ Presents Peak Entertainment At San Diego Comic-Con

Paramount+ will once again bring a mountain of entertainment to fans attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with unforgettable programming from fan-favorite series and franchises featuring exclusive never-before-seen content, first-look reveals and a special premiere screening.

In addition to the programming, The Lodge: A Paramount+ Experience will make its official San Diego Comic-Con debut in the downtown Gaslamp District, where attendees will walk through a unique immersive experience featuring current and upcoming Paramount+ original series and movies. Paramount+ will also mark its return to the official convention floor with the STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS interactive booth space, which will include exclusive photo opportunities and giveaways. The celebrations kick-off on Thursday, July 20 and go through Sunday, July 23.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be available on digital from Paramount Home Entertainment starting July 11, 2023. Fans who purchase the film on Digital can immerse themselves in the world of TRANSFORMERS with over an hour of thrilling bonus content.

Here you can see how filmmakers recreated 90s New York City through incredible set design, music, and fashion. Go behind-the-scenes of the eye-popping action, from the edge-of-your seat car chase on the streets of New York City to the mesmerizing battle on the mountains of Machu Picchu, Peru. Also included are deleted and extended scenes not seen in theatres. Bonus content is detailed below:

Art Directors Guild Represents at Comic-Con 2023 with Three Panels, Portfolio Reviews and a Booth

art directors comicconThe Art Directors Guild, IATSE Local 800 (#ADG800) will have a big presence at next week’s Comic-Con with three panels at the San Diego Convention Center, a booth on the floor and special awards to be handed out at the Masquerade.

ADG 800 will kick-off the weekend with two Friday panels. The first panel features Women of the Hollywood Art Department in Room 9 on Friday, July 21 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. These panelists are responsible for dreaming, designing and drawing some of the most memorable and immersive environments for film and TV. They include Amelia Brooke (Everything Everywhere All At Once, Westworld), Danelle Davenport (Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Little Mermaid), Kelly Rae Hemenway (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Bullet Train), Rupali Ingle (Star Trek: Picard, Abbott Elementary), and Daniela Medeiros (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Thor: Ragnarok). Kate Weddle (Yellowstone, WandaVision) will moderate. Panelists will be available for autograph signing at Table# AA02 in the Sails Pavilion from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

The artisans who created the look for the epic conclusion to the Guardians trilogy take over the same room, same day, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a panel titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 – The Art Department. From the grandeur of spaceships to a villain’s geometric fortress, swimming through an endless planet of anatomy, or reconstructing a celestial body, this is the team that transported the cast, crew, and audience into these fantastic worlds. Panelists include IATSE Local 829 Production Designer Beth Mickle (The Suicide Squad, Drive), and IATSE Local 800/Art Directors Guild members: David Scott (Spider Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War), Art Director Lorin Flemming (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Justice League), Graphic Designer Kelly Rae Hemenway (Bullet Train, Batman vs Superman), and Set Designer Tim Croshaw (Loki, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2). Junk Rabbit Sticks Landing With A Surprise Bodé Variant Cover

Fan favorite Bomb Queen creator Jimmie Robinson’s Junk Rabbit series finale issue will feature a special, secret variant by indie artist icon Mark Bodé. The surprise copies of this secret variant will arrive to retailers in their shipment of issue #5 orders.

Bodé is a world renowned muralist in the tradition of his late father, underground comix pioneer, Vaughn Bodé, and rose to prominence in the comics scene in his own right. He has also contributed to Heavy Metal magazine and the popular The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Bodé is a longtime friend of Robinson’s and this cover marks his first Image contribution.

In Junk Rabbit #5, the Rabbit’s life hinges on a desperate do-or-die plot by an unlikely duo using trashed ancient technology. Will it be enough to save the Rabbit, or will other sacrifices have to be made?

Art Directors Guild at Comic-Con 2023

Dynamite has announced an exciting panel for this year’s San Diego Comic Con, as creators and fans celebrate 50 fantastic years of Red Sonja! In addition to a retrospective discussion on the character’s legacy and past, her future will be looked to with new comics, novels, as well as an exclusive teaser trailer debut for her upcoming blockbuster Millennium Media film starring Matilda Lutz.

The panel will be held on Friday, July 21 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM local San Diego time in room 5AB.

Red Sonja, LLC president, executive editor, and a producer of the coming film Luke Lieberman will serve as panel moderator, joined by franchise contributors Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, Amy Chu, Dan Panosian, producer Mark Canton, and other guests.

The beloved She-Devil With a Sword’s story began in comics in 1973, and now 50 years later she remains the greatest sword-and-sorcery female heroine of them all! Focus Features Celebrates 30 Years of ‘Dazed and Confused’

dazed and confused 30Focus Features is commemorating the 30th anniversary of Richard Linklater’s critically acclaimed cult classic, DAZED AND CONFUSED, with a series of exclusive events and celebrations in honor of the beloved film’s enduring impact on cinema and culture today. Written and directed by Richard Linklater and originally released in September 1993, DAZED AND CONFUSED explores the last day of school—and one wild night—in the lives of high school students in 1976. The film features a stacked ensemble cast including Matthew McConaughey, Parker Posey, Ben Affleck, Milla Jovovich, and Anthony Rapp among many others. Anniversary celebrations first commenced in April timed to 4/20 when Focus hosted more than 100 anniversary screenings at theaters in major cities across the U.S, including Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Austin, Washington DC, and New York City.

The DAZED fun will continue with a weekend of activity at San Diego Comic Con from July 20-23, including an immersive pop-up at the Interactive Zone where fans can purchase exclusive anniversary merch (only available at the Con), photo-opps featuring iconic scenes from the film, and themed giveaways. Fans can also relive the film through three separate screenings on Friday, July 21, Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23 at the Digital Gym Cinema in downtown San Diego. During the Con, convention attendees can also enter a special sweepstakes to win a trip to Austin, TX, the film’s iconic setting, for a special DAZED reunion-filled weekend. Additionally, Focus is partnering with Vidiots, L.A.’s legendary video store and film hub, recently relaunched at the historic Eagle Theatre, for a special DAZED AND CONFUSED takeover featuring two screenings in Vidiots’ newly renovated 271-seat, state-of-the-art cinema on Saturday, July 29th Fans attending screenings will be treated to a special commemorative movie poster as well as several DAZED-themed giveaways. Beer, wine, and munchies will be available for fans all day in Vidiots’ spacious lobby bar. Tickets for the Vidiots’ “Dazed Day” are on sale now.

DAZED Celebrations will culminate in a jam-packed cast reunion weekend in partnership with Austin Film Society on Sept 16th and 17th in Austin, TX. Kicking off on Saturday, September 16, the Round Rock Express will host a Dazed and Confused anniversary themed baseball game with exclusive merchandise, a pre-game panel discussion with members of the film’s cast and a first pitch thrown by Linklater. Then on Sunday, September 17, the Waterloo Greenway will present a special outdoor screening of the film at the Moody Amphitheater followed by a Q&A with Linklater and select cast. Geoff Johns and Gary Frank’s Bestselling Series Geiger Gets Own Booth At San Diego Comic-Con

Geoff Johns and Gary Frank’s critically acclaimed bestselling comic book series Geiger, published by Image Comics, will have a dedicated booth for the first time at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (July 19-23). Fans of the creator-owned series can flock to Geiger’s staffed booth #1320, located in Halls B/C, beginning on Preview Night, Wednesday, July 19, through Sunday, July 23.

Booth visitors will receive a limited edition, full color, eight page ashcan of the upcoming Geiger: Ground Zero featuring the latest adventure of radioactive family man Tariq Geiger, as he fights to protect his family in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

“The response to Geiger has been truly overwhelming,” said Johns. “We’re excited to continue building Geiger, Junkyard Joe, Redcoat, and the rest of The Unnamed Universe, so having a dedicated presence at this year’s Comic-Con is a great opportunity to further share it all with fans.”

Geiger is also currently being adapted as a streaming series for Paramount TV by Geoff Johns’ Mad Ghost and Justin Simiens’ Culture Machine.

Written by Geoff Johns (Green Lantern, Shazam!, JSA, Aquaman) and illustrated by Gary Frank (Doomsday Clock, The Incredible Hulk, Batman: Earth One, Shazam!), Geiger launched Mad Ghost’s imprint at Image Comics to critical and commercial acclaim, introducing a new universe of mysterious heroes throughout history called The Unnamed. Set 25 years in the future, Geiger centers around a radioactive family man named Tariq Geiger who spends his days and nights doing anything he must to protect the fallout shelter housing his family. When Geiger fights off a group of violent scavengers, he faces the wrath of the criminal empire they are connected to.
