The nominees for the 2017 Golden Globe Awards have arrived. ‘La La Land’ leads the film nominees with a total of seven mentions, ‘Moonlight’ follows with six, while Mel Gibson scored a best director nomination for ‘Hacksaw Ridge’.
Along with “Hacksaw Ridge,” and “Moonlight” were “Hell or High Water,” “Lion,” “Manchester by the Sea” nominated for best drama picture, while “20th Century Women,” “Deadpool,” “Florence Foster Jenkins,” “La La Land” and “Sing Street” earned nods in the musical or comedy picture category.
Don Cheadle, Laura Dern and Anna Kendrick announced the nominees on Monday in Beverly Hills. Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will host the annual ceremony and will air live on NBC Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017.
