Anthony Rapp and Lana Parrilla Star in “Scrap”

In the movie, Beth (Vivian Kerr) has recently been laid off and struggles to maintain the appearance of a successful middle-class lifestyle as she bounces around Los Angeles. Hoping to land a new job and change her situation before her estranged older brother Ben (Anthony Rapp) finds out, Beth must confront her own pride in order to reconnect with him and provide for her young daughter, Birdy.

Meanwhile, Ben and his wife Stacy (Lana Parrilla) consider a third round of IVF and Stacy, a successful attorney, must re-evaluate her own conflicted relationship with motherhood.

Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore In “The Room Next Door” Trailer Released

theroomnextdoorThe trailer for Pedro Almodóvar’s first English-language The Room Next Door has been released. The drama film stars Julianne Moore and Tilda Swinton.

It has received acclaimed recently, winning Best Film at the Venice Film Festival. It was also nominated at the European Film Awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress (Swinton) and Best Screenplay.

It is Almodóvar’s follow-up to “Parallel Mothers” which was released in 2021, and which also bowed at Venice Film Festival.

In the film, Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth, when they worked together at the same magazine. Ingrid went on to become an autofiction novelist while Martha became a war reporter, and they were separated by the circumstances of life. After years of being out of touch, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation.

Also in the movie are John Turturro, Alessandro Nivola, Juan Diego Botto, Raúl Arévalo, Victoria Luengo, Alex Høgh Andersen, Esther-Rose McGregor, Alvise Rigo.

ony Pictures Classics is set to release the film in New York and LA on December 20, and then nationwide on January 10, 2025.

Film Feature: “The Man in the White Van” Poster and Trailer

Based on a true story, “The Man in the White Van” delves into the eerie underbelly of a seemingly idyllic 1975 Florida town, and follows the harrowing experience of young Annie Williams, a spirited girl whose carefree existence is turned upside down as she becomes stalked by an ominous man in a white van.

The tranquility of Annie’s world, from her love of horseback riding to her leisurely strolls home from school in the nearby woods, begins to crumble as the menacing white van inches closer and closer. As her parents’ skepticism increasingly grows, Annie finds herself psychologically isolated, and on Halloween night her worst fears materialize into a full-blown nightmare.

The film is set for release in select US theaters on Friday, December 13.

“Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl” is set for release in theaters December 18 and then hits Netflix January 3, 2025.

New Trailer For Vampire Horror Film “Bleeding”

Trailer: Ving Rhames and Luise Grossmann in Boxing Drama “Uppercut”

Lionsgate has released a new trailer and poster for the upcoming boxing drama “Uppercut”, which stars Golden Globe winner Ving Rhames and Luise Grossmann.

The film follows Toni’s journey from seeking boxing training from Elliott, a gym owner, to becoming a pioneering female boxing manager guiding Payne to a championship fight, while drawing upon lessons learned from Elliott.

“Uppercut” comes to theaters, Digital, and On Demand on February 28, 2025.

Directed by Torsten Ruether, the film also stars Jordan E. Cooper and Jordan E. Cooper.

On April 24th, 2014, Flint, Michigan switched water sources to the Flint River, a cost-saving measure enacted by former Governor Rick Snyder and his appointed Emergency Manager. This decision poisoned a city that had already been neglected for decades.

Over the course of 8 years, through interviews of members of Congress, local officials, environmental and engineering scientists, former EPA employees, and the families affected by lead poisoning, LEAD & COPPER investigates how city, state, and federal policies contributed to environmental crises like those experienced in Flint, Newark, and Washington, D.C.

Trailer For Sabrina Carpenter’s Holiday Special “‘A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter” Released

A-Nonsense-Christmas-with-Sabrina-CarpeneterPop star Sabrina Carpenter jingles all the bells in this old-school variety music special full of holiday hits, unexpected duets and comedic cameos.

The singer has shared the trailer for the Netflix special at the Short n’ Sweet concert stop, in Los Angeles. “Christmas is coming early this year,” the pop star says at the beginning of the teaser. “I wouldn’t count on a silent night.”

The show is set to feature duets with Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, and Kali Uchis, and will also include appearances from Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell.

It is directed by Sam Wrench, who also helmed Taylor Swift’s 2023 Eras Tour concert film.

“A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter” is set to premiere on Netflix at 9 p.m. ET on Dec. 6.

In the upcoming romantic comedy film, Bridget is alone once again, widowed four years ago, when Mark (Oscar® winner Colin Firth) was killed on a humanitarian mission in the Sudan. She’s now a single mother to 9-year-old Billy and 4-year-old Mabel, and is stuck in a state of emotional limbo, raising her children with help from her loyal friends and even her former lover, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant).

Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson are also back reprising their roles as Daniel Cleaver and Dr. Rawlings, along with Jim Broadbent, Sarah Solemani, Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson, James Callis, Neil Pearson, Joanna Scanlan and Celia Imrie.

Joining them are new cast members Chiwetel Ejiofor, Leo Woodall, Isla Fisher, Nico Parker, Josette Simon and Leila Farzad.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is set for release in the United States by Peacock on 13 February 2025, followed by an international release on 14 February 2025 by Universal Pictures.
