Stunning New “Parasite” Trailer Released

Director Bong Joon-ho’s acclaimed black comedy thriller finally has a new trailer.

Bong Joon-ho is known for mixing disparate genres within his films and Parasite looks like its no exception. The trailer looks as captivating as one would expect from the mind behind Snowpiercer, Mother (Madeo), and Okja.

The new trailer was released by Neon this week (see below), showing lives of two families, one wealthy and another impoverished, intersecting and taking a horrific turn.

The film recently took top honor at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, winning the Palme d’Or, making this the first time that a Korean film has won the honor.

Parasite is set to hit theaters on Oct. 11.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:
Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide “indispensable” luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.

First Trailer For Paul Feig’s “Last Christmas” Released

Christmas comes early with the release of the first trailer for Universal’s “Last Christmas”, the upcoming romantic comedy from director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat).

The film stars Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding, who had a breakout role last year in “Crazy Rich Asians.”

The trailer shows Kate (Emilia Clarke) as a cynical, down-on-her-luck Londoner who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. “I bet nothing’s ever your fault, is it darling?,” says Kate’s flatmate before throwing her out the apartment. Enter Tom (Golding), who seem to regularly bump into Kate. She starts to confide in him, and the two starts a festive romance.

Throughout the trailer, we also hear some of George Michael’s classic songs including of course “Last Christmas,” released in 1984. There’s also brand new unreleased material by the legendary Grammy-winning artist, according to Universal.

“Last Christmas” co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson, with the latter also co-writing and co-producing the film.

The film is set for release on 8 November 2019 by Universal Pictures.

Kate (Emilia Clarke) harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Henry Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate’s barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. Henry Abrams went on to shed more light on the creative team’s thinking behind the scenes. “Spider-Man in general has been one of the most interesting super hero characters to me – how when he gets stronger, his problems get bigger,” he said. “A large focus on our series was [Spider-Man] as a person and not just him as a mask. So how does he deal with these real issues? It’s been a pleasure exploring that.”

“Cadaverous is one of the most terrifying Spider-Man villains of all time – and that’s saying something,” Lowe warned. “Spidey has faced the Green Goblin, Carnage, Venom, and Cadaverous might be even scarier and a little bit grosser than any of them.” SPIDER-MAN #1 arrives September 18 in comic shops, on the Marvel Comics App, and on Marvel.com.

Dafoe And Pattinson Loses Their Sanity In “The Lighthouse” Trailer

Robert Eggers is back with his follow up to his 2016 directorial “The Witch”, this time pairing Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson in “The Lighthouse”, an upcoming black-and-white horror film from A24.

The highly-anticipated film’s riveting first trailer has just been released, see below.

Set in a remote and mysterious lighthouse on a New England island in the 1890s, the film follows two lighthouse keepers “just looking to earn a living, on the run,” as they face solitude and their worst nightmares on a storm-ridden deserted island.

“How long have we been on this rock? Five weeks? Two days? Help me to recollect,” Dafoe’s asks Pattinson.

The film had its world premiere on May 19, 2019 at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19, 2019, where Dafoe, Pattinson and director Eggers received critical acclaim, along with the film’s technical aspects.

Pattinson has recently appeared in indie films and worked with renowned directors as Werner Herzog and David Cronenberg as well as gained positive reviews in the crime film “Good Time” and this year’s science-fiction horror film “High Life”. He is also set to appear in Christopher Nolan’s film “Tenet,” set to open July 17, 2020, as well as Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman film.

Dafoe recently portrayed \Vincent van Gogh in At Eternity’s Gate (2018), which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor nomination, which shockingly is his first in that category throughout his stunning career.

‘The Lighthouse’ is set for release on October 18, 2019.

Trailer Premiere of upcoming horror film “Bliss” from Joe Begos

Dark Sky Films has released the official trailer premiere for the upcoming horror film, Bliss.
Written, produced & directed by Joe Begos, the film is set to open in theaters and on digital platforms on September 27, 2019.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:
Known for her dark and macabre artwork, painter Dezzy Donahue (Dora Madison) is in a professional rut. Unable to finish her newest commissioned work, Dezzy looks to reignite her creative juices by letting loose-as in, taking every drug in sight and tearing through raucous house parties and heavy metal bars. After a few nights spent with her debauchery-loving friends Courtney (Tru Collins) and Ronnie (Rhys Wakefield), though, Dezzy notices changes within herself. On the positive side, she’s finally painting again, but she’s also developing a strange desire for blood. As someone who has never been able to control her vices in the first place, Dezzy is quickly and violently consumed by this bloodlust.

With his previous films, Almost Human (2013) and The Mind’s Eye (2015), filmmaker Joe Begos won the hearts of horror lovers through his stylistic nostalgia and inhibition-free penchant for brutality. Upping the ante, BLISS roars with searing visuals, kinetic energy, an endearing nastiness, and a ferociously all-in lead performance from Madison. Although it’s set in modern-day Los Angeles, BLISS harkens back to the grimy days of New York City grindhouse cinema, when films like Abel Ferrara’s The Driller Killer and Bill Lustig’s Maniac were the norm.

FUNimation Films Debuts “KINGDOM” Official Character Posters

FUNimation Films has released the official six new character posters and North American theatrical poster for its upcoming film “Kingdom.” 

FUNimation Films’ live-action adaptation of “Kingdom” is set to have North American screening next month.
Feating Kento Yamazaki, Ryo Yoshizawa, Masami Nagasawa, Kanna Hashimoto, Kanata Hongō, Shinnosuke Mitsushima, and Takao Osawa, “Kingdom: is directed by Shinsuke Sato, “Kingdom” is set for limited release on August 16 in the US and Canada.

Produced by Kôji Hirano, Naoaki Kitajima, Shinzô Matsuhashi, Ryôsuke Mori, the film is from a screenplay written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa and Shinsuke Sato, based on the manga created by Yasuhisa Hara. The film has not yet been rated, but will be in Japanese with English subtitles.

Orphaned by war, a young boy and his friend dream of changing their fate and becoming the world’s greatest generals. And after his friend sacrifices himself to protect the future emperor, the young boy’s path to greatness is set in motion. First “Zombieland: Double Tap” Trailer Arrives

The ragtag survivors of a zombie apocalypse are back in the latest trailer for “Zombieland: Double Tap”, the sequel to the surprise critical and commercial 2009 hit “Zombieland.”

Yep, the whole gang is back: Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), along with the original Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.

In addition, there’s also a few characters new in the sequel such as Zoey Deutch, Rosario Dawson, Thomas Middleditch and Luke Wilson.

Why exactly is Harrelson dressed up as Santa in a scene and then as Elvis in another is still unknown, but it sure sets up some pretty intriguing and hilarious situations.

“Zombieland: Double Tap” is set to be released by Released by Sony Pictures on October 18, 2019.

Tom Hanks As Mister Rogers In ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood’

Sony has unveiled the first trailer for its Mister Rogers biographical drama, starring Tom Hanks, and its indeed beautifully heartwarming.

“A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” is inspired by a real-life friendship between children’s television icon Fred Rogers (Hanks) and journalist Tom Junod (Matthew Rhys).

‘Neighborhood’ is directed by Marielle Heller, whose last film “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” earned Melissa McCarthy and Richard E. Grant acting nominations at the Academy Awards for best actressa nd support actor respectively, as well as for its screenplay adaptation.

“Sometimes we have to ask for help and that’s okay. I think the best thing we can do is to let people know that each one of them is precious,” says in the trailer.

Written by Micah Fitzerman-Blue, Noah Harpster and based on the Esquire article Can You Say…Hero? by Tom Junod, the film co-stars Susan Kelechi Watson, and Chris Cooper.

The film is set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2019 before it is released on November 22, 2019.

The Russo Brothers Unveils New Trailer for 21 Bridges

The Russo brothers just unveiled the new trailer for STXfilms’ 21 BRIDGES during their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

Anthony and Joe Russo served as producers, along with Mike Larocca, Gigi Pritzker, Chadwick Boseman and Logan Coles.

Brian Kirk served as director of the suspense thriller. The cast includes Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David, Taylor Kitsch and J.K. Simmons

21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.

The film is set for releaae on September 27, 2019.

DreamWorks Animation Reveals She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 3 Trailer

During today’s packed panel at San Diego Comic-Con, DreamWorks Animation gave fans a sneak peek into the highly anticipated third season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Panelists included executive producer Noelle Stevenson, Aimee Carrero(Adora/She-Ra), Karen Fukuhara (Glimmer), Marcus Scribner (Bow), Lauren Ash (Scorpia), and moderator Patrick Gomez, Entertainment Weekly Senior Editor.

Throughout the panel, the audience was given exclusive first looks at season 3, including the never-before-seen trailer and a sneak peek of new guest star Oscar-winner Geena Davis in action as a tough fighter named Huntara.

The panelists shared several clips that show Adora, Glimmer, Bow, Catra and Scorpia traveling through a desolate land called the Crimson Waste. It’s there that Adora comes face to face with its de facto leader Huntara, and Catra and Scorpia separately find themselves in the crosshairs of a threatening bandit named Tung Lashor.

Season 3 finds Adora learning that many things in her past are not what they seem, leading her to embark on a journey of discovery to the desolate Crimson Waste where she meets Huntara.

Punished by Hordak for Shadow Weaver’s escape, Catra and Scorpia also find themselves sent to this land of cutthroats and criminals on a mission to aid Hordak and Entrapta’s master plan. Feeling pushed aside, Catra will stop at nothing to bring Adora and the Princess Alliance down as the fate of Etheria hangs in the balance.

At SDCC, She-Ra fans have received multiple exclusive SDCC offers including the Mattel She-Ra vs. Shadow Weaver 2-pack doll set and collectible Han Cholo pins.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power also presented this year’s Her Universe Fashion Show celebrating the “Power of Fashion” judged by She-Ra’s own Merit Leighton (Frosta) with the debut of limited edition She-Ra and the Princesses of Power inspired Her Universe merchandise.
