Oni Press has unveiled an extended preview of Estuary: A Ghost Story #1, the upcoming horror comic from writers Tim Daniel and David “D.B.” Andry (Crush Depth, Morning Star) with artwork by Maan House (Mine Is a Long Lonesome Grave). The first issue of the four-part series arrives April 8.

Set along the Pacific coast, the story centers on a centuries-old Spanish mission perched above the ocean at Arbués Point—long rumored to be one of California’s most haunted historical sites. Beneath its crumbling façade, a secluded nun has spent decades guarding a secret hidden beneath the chapel and the nearby estuary.

When marine archaeologist Maris Cristobal is invited to excavate a mysterious shipwreck beneath the mission’s waters, the dig begins to uncover buried sins tied to both the past and present—unleashing forces that refuse to stay buried.

The debut issue will feature cover artwork by Maan House, Vanesa R. Del Ray (Redlands), and Tim Daniel.
