Grammy-nominated rock band Blink-182 has released a blistering new single, “Generational Divide”, from their currently untitled, highly-anticipated forthcoming eighth studio album.
The track clocks at a fast and frenetic 50 seconds. “Is it better, is it better now? / Are we better, are we better now?,” Mark Hoppus repeatedly sings alongside explosive drums and guitars.
The punk-influenced single was unveiled with a music video that was directed by Kevin Kerslake. The high-energy video, shot through convulsive camera movements, shows the band playing in a room covered with collage of posters. See video below.
Last month, the band also shared a new song, “Blame It On My Youth,” released through Columbia Records. The single was announced just after the band revealed that they are about embark on a co-headlining tour with rapper Lil Wayne. The trek is set to commence on June 27 in Columbus, Ohio and will run until September.
The band’s last studio album, ‘California’, was released in 2016.
“Generational Divide” is available on all streaming platforms.

Nominees for 2019 Teen Choice Awards were released Wednesday, with summer blockbuster Avengers: Endgame and hip hop artist Lil Nas X leading the music categories. Nas is currently at the top of the charts with Old Town Road.
