Each are deluxe limited-edition numbered box sets with audio mastered from the original tapes. Black Celebration | The 12″ Singles contains five 12″ heavyweight vinyl discs – including alternate mixes, instrumental versions, live shows & more. Music For The Masses | The 12″ Singles contains seven heavyweight 12″ vinyl discs – including a host of alternate mixes.

These are packaged in deluxe numbered boxes with reproductions of rare original UK marketing posters and download cards.

Each of these definitive box sets contains 12″ vinyl singles contemporaneous to either Black Celebration (1986) or Music For The Masses (1987). Both pivotal releases in the Depeche Mode canon, these albums advanced the band’s musical mission, moving the DM sound from industrial pop into darker atmospheric emotional territory.

Janet Jackson Tears The Roof Off Vegas With Thrilling And Next Level New Residency Metamorphosis

Global music icon Janet Jackson blazed into Las Vegas with fire, lights, technology, new dynamic dance numbers and energy unmatched, for both opening weekend performances of her Las Vegas residency, Metamorphosis, at Park Theater at Park MGM resort, nearly 40 years after she made her first appearance with her brothers in the city.

What’s being hailed as a show that is, “everything thoroughly Janet,” (THR), she not only delivers her endless hits but brings back fan favorites, and Billboard took notice saying, “what takes this show to the 2.0 level is the integration of choice album cuts like ‘Trust a Try,’ ‘China Love’ and ‘Moist.’ ” The LA Times also declared, ” ‘Metamorphosis’ is neither a revival nor a creative reset — it’s a celebration of a pop icon who’s finally getting the due she deserves.”

Alongside Jackson are her dancers, tight band and singers who kept the sold-out audiences on their feet for the nearly 100-minute show that encapsulated her record-breaking career. Fans also celebrated the return of one of their favorite Janet alter egos, “Strawberry,” in a series of show-stopping songs including a sexually charged dance number to “I Get So Lonely” and the special tribute to her Rhythm Nation album that brought the house down.

Terence Blanchard Honored As A BMI Icon At BMI’s 35th Annual Film, TV, & Visual Media Awards

Last night, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) held its 35th annual Film, TV & Visual Media Awards to celebrate the top performing composers in film, TV and visual media of the past year. The highest honors of the evening went to film composer and multiple award-winning jazz musician Terence Blanchard, who was named a BMI Icon in recognition of his significant contributions to the cinematic community, and William Ross, who received BMI’s Classic Contribution Award for his outstanding work as an arranger, orchestrator, conductor, music director, composer and mentor to emerging talent. The private ceremony was hosted by Vice President Creative – Film, TV & Visual Media, Doreen Ringer-Ross and BMI President and CEO Mike O’Neill at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

O’Neill presented Blanchard with the BMI Icon accolade in front of a room of his peers, noting that the award was “reserved for extraordinary members of the BMI family, whose artistry has had an unparalleled impact on both music lovers and music creators.” He went on to say, “You’ve humbly said you stand on the shoulders of musical legends. Well, Terence, steady your shoulders, because there are many you will carry as they aspire to your legacy.”

35th Anniversary GHOSTBUSTERS Original Motion Picture Score Available Digitally For The First Time On June 7th.

In honor of the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters’ 1984 theatrical debut, Sony Music announces a special reissue of “GHOSTBUSTERS (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SCORE)” with music by legendary film composer ELMER BERNSTEIN (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Age of Innocence).
Available now to preorder, the anniversary edition arrives in digital formats for the very first time (in both standard and hi resolutions) and on CD Friday, June 7 and on vinyl Friday, July 19.

The collection features music from the iconic blockbuster, newly mixed and remastered from the score’s original multi-tracks, as well as new artwork, commentary from Elmer Bernstein’s son, Peter, and four previously unreleased tracks.

Of the 35th anniversary edition, Peter Bernstein, son of the late Elmer Bernstein, says, “As one of the original orchestrators on Ghostbusters, it has been very satisfying and also very moving to work on this soundtrack release 35 years down the road. Elton John Biopic “Rocketman” To Get Early Screenings

Paramount Pictures, in partnership with Fandango, is set to screen “Rocketman” in 400 theaters nationwide on May 18.

That would be two weeks earlier than the film’s official release date, and merely two days after the film premieres at the Cannes Film Festival.

The early screenings will take place through AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark, Marcus Theatres, Arclight Cinemas/Pacific Theatres and National Amusements. Tickets are now available for purchase exclusively through Fandango.

The film is reunites with the film’s star Taron Egerton, who plays the legendary hitmaker, with his Eddie the Eagle director Dexter Fletcher.

“Rocketman” will be Fletcher’s second consecutive film about a legendary pop musician after recently completing the Freddie Mercury biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

Rocketman also stars Jamie Bell as longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden, Bryce Dallas Howard and Gemma Jones. It is set to take off in theaters next summer May 31, 2019.

Billboard Music Awards 2019

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) were handed out on Wednesday night, and Drake dominated the ceremonies, taking home the Top Artist, Top male Artist and Top Hot 100 Artist trophies.

The haul effectively gives Drake the record for most wins, 27 total in the history of Billboard Music Awards.

Other big winners included Ariana Grande, Ella Mai, BTS, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Combs who took home Top Country Artist. Coming into the night, it was Cardi B led the nominations with 21 nods, was followed by Drake and Post Malone with 17 nominations each.

Mariah Carey received the Icon Award as well as performed a career-spanning set including her 2018 single “A No No”, and classics such as “Always Be My Baby”, “Emotions”, “We Belong Together” and “Hero”.

Presenters for 2019 Billboard Music Awards Announced

Dick Clark Productions has announced on Tuesday its list of presenters for music’s big night: The 2019 Billboard Music Awards.

This list includes Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley, stars of the hit NBC Series “This Is Us”. Also announced were Asher Angel, Becky G, Cobie Smulders, Dave Bautista & Kumail Nanjiani, David Guetta, Erin & Sara Foster, Eva Longoria, Florida Georgia Line, Jennifer Hudson, Jesse Spencer, Julia Michaels, Julianne Hough, Kane Brown, Olivia Wilde, Beanie Feldstein & Kaitlyn Dever, Ralph Macchio, Rob Gronkowski, Ross Lynch & Kiernan Shipka, Sabrina Carpenter, Sophie Turner & Tye Sheridan, Terry Crews and William Zabka among others.

Taylor Swift, who recently released the lead single from her seventh studio album, “Me!” is set to open the show. Other performers include BTS, Mariah Carey, Ciara, Lauren Daigle, Dan + Shay, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Jonas Brothers, Khalid, Tori Kelly, Madonna, Maluma, Panic! at the Disco and Paula Abdul.

Superstar Mariah Carey, who has dominated the charts since her debut in 1990, has previously bee announced to receive the prestigious Icon Award.

The music event will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson for the second year in a row.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards is set to air live on Wednesday, May 1st on NBC at 8PM ET/PT from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

To Honor Willie Nelson’s Birthday – “Miracle” Movie Releases Today

To honor and celebrate the 86th birthday of music and film legend Willie Nelson, the new drama WAITING FOR THE MIRACLE TO COME releases today on DVD and VOD platforms. The film was created for Nelson by writer/director Lian Lunson, and was filmed entirely on his ranch in Texas. Set in a magical and timeless world, the film moves like a quiet meditation, considering the themes of faith, love, and fulfillment in spite of loss.

Along with Nelson, the film stars acting legend Charlotte Rampling and indie music artist and actress Sophie Lowe.

WAITING FOR THE MIRACLE TO COME tells the story of a young girl who embarks on a journey of discovery. Along the way, she encounters faith, love, and fulfillment, all clothed in the brokenness of loss, as the most powerful transformative experiences in our lives often are.

“This film is special to me,” shares Lunson. “I wrote this film specifically for Willie Nelson. Something that would capture his incredible talent as an actor. Charlotte Rampling, all of us came toward this for Willie Nelson. Willie’s beautiful stillness creates the tone of the film and his beautiful ranch its backdrop…I hope that WAITING FOR THE MIRACLE TO COME allows people to slow down, take a deep breath and walk through the gates of The Beautiful Place where these magical people live.”

The film also features music by guitar legend Duane Eddy who partners with Willie’s longtime harmonica player Mickey Raphael to create the perfect score. The film also includes an original song “Where the Shadows Fall” written by Bono, performed by Bono and Willie Nelson. Bono is also an Executive Producer on the film, along with Mark D. Rodgers, Dale A. Brown, Tyler Zacharia, and Lunson’s mentor Wim Wenders. WAITING FOR THE MIRACLE TO COME is available for purchase on DVD and digital platforms in the US and internationally through Spotlight Pictures.

Sting: My Songs The Las Vegas Residency Coming To The Colosseum At Caesars Palace

The Cherrytree Music Company, Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment announce that 17-time GRAMMY Award winning musician Sting will headline a Las Vegas residency, “My Songs,” set to open at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Friday, May 22, 2020.

The show will present a compendium of Sting’s songs with dynamic, visual references to some of his most iconic videos and inspirations.
