Winnie the Pooh Is Back In “Christopher Robin” Trailer Debut

By Creative Media Times

Walt Disney Pictures

Walt Disney Pictures debuts the teaser trailer for its upcoming film “Christopher Robin,” which features Ewan McGregor as a grown up Robin reuniting with his bear with Winnie the Pooh.

The film which takes place in the 1940, is inspired by A. A. Milne’s book Winnie-the-Pooh which focuses on the adventures of the adorable teddy bear.

Directed by Marc Forster and written by Tom McCarthy, Alex Ross Perry, and Allison Schroeder, “Christopher” Robin is set to be released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on August 3, 2018.

Here’s a partial synopsis of the film:

Now grown up, Christopher Robin is stuck in a job where he is overworked, underpaid and facing an uncertain future. He has a family of his own, but his work has become his life, leaving little time for his wife and daughter. Christopher has all but forgotten his idyllic childhood spent with a simple-minded, honey-loving stuffed bear and his friends. But when he is reunited with Winnie the Pooh, now tattered and soiled from years of hugs and play, their friendship is rekindled, reminding Christopher of the endless days of childlike wonder and make believe that defined his youth, when doing nothing was considered the very best something. Following an unfortunate mishap with Christopher Robin’s briefcase, Pooh and the rest of the gang including Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger, step out of the forest and venture into London to return the crucial possessions…because best friends will always be there for you.

Set to Merethe Soltvedt’s cover of “Pure Imagination” from “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” there’s of course plenty of popular culture references here as seen in earlier footages.

This time though, we also see one from Spielberg’s own “Jurassic Park.” Yep, for a quick few seconds we have a T-Rex in “Ready Player One” chasing a truck through the city streets.

Also released this week are new character posters for the film (below) featuring Parzival/Wade Watts (Tyler Sheridan), Aech/Helen Harris (Lena Waithe), Art3mis/Samantha Evelyn Cook (Olivia Cooke), Daito / Toshiro Yoshiaki (Win Morisaki), Shoto / Akihide Karatsu (Philip Zhao), Anorak / James Donovan Halliday (Mark Rylance) and Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn).

By Creative Media Times

Walt Disney Pictures
Pixar Animation Studios

The first footage released months ago teased that Bob Parr / Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) will be at home raising the kids, and that looks to be the case for our beloved superhero as shown on the latest trailer for “Incredibles 2”. “I’ll watch the kids. No problem,” he says.

Here we see Mr. Incredible grappling with the daily home routines and parenting issues. The film’s hilarious new posters definitely drive that message as well, which shows Mr. Incredible ironing on one, and their costumes on a basket of laundry on another.

Bob also have to deal with Jack-Jack’s developing powers and ability to transform into a somewhat menacing creature. “Done properly, parenting is a heroic act,” says Brad Bird’s Edna Mode.

Meanwhile, a new villain with a sinister plot is out, and it looks like it will be Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) who will be busy fighting crime.

“Deadpool 2” New Trailer And Poster; Reveals Cable

By Creative Media Times

Marvel Entertainment . 20th Century Fox

“Deadpool 2” introduces Josh Brolin’s villain character Cable in the latest trailer for 20th Century’s summer tentpole. “I was born into war, bred into it. People think they understand pain, but they have no concept of it,” says an intense time travelling cybernetic mutant soldier Cable.

But once Ryan Reynolds’s goofy, snarky superhero Deadpool sees Cable’s arm looking like an unfinished green screen, he interrupts the introduction. “Why are the visual effects not done? It’s a metal arm! It’s not like we’re trying to remove a mustache!,” an obvious dig at the digitally removed mustache of Henry Cavill in Justice League.

With the exception of Cable’s introduction, the title character’s trademark wisecracks and quick shots of returning characters from the original, the trailer is light on plot details overall. Which in this age of spoilerific trailers and adverts can only be a good thing.

The Canadian actor has been teasing fans with various images from the film since production. Yesterday was one of those days, releasing the film’s hilarious and strangely amusing “Flashdance” inspired new poster on Twitter.

Directed by David Leitch, from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool 2 also stars Morena Baccarin, T. J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand and Jack Kesy.

Deadpool 2 is set to storm theaters this summer on May 18.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.
