Review: Young Dolph Feat. Gucci Mane ‘That’s how I feel’

By Nicole Patrice

Young Dolph has been very productive this year, releasing his promotional single “That’s how I feel” on March 10th and his second studio album “ Bulletproof” on April 1st.

Dolph’s latest song was a response to the shooting of his SUV on February 25th in Charlotte, North Carolina. The rapper was shot at about 100 times and graciously lived to speak about it. Because of the incident, Dolph is inspired to make innovating tracks and spread the word about his luck.

In the ‘That’s how I feel’ music video, Dolph and Gucci Mane dressed rather casually sitting at a dinner table surrounded by ladies. The video seems to have taken place at a cabin, equipped with champagne, expensive furniture and high class catering. He opened by saying “For a hunnid shots, I heard you paid a hunnid stacks / Hope you got your receipt, go and get yo 100 back.” The verse was allegedly a response to his rivals. Gucci Mane’s verse blended wonderfully, speaking about the good life and living lavish, adding the finishing touches to a great track.

Overall, the song and video was hot; The words was catchy, the beat was crunk and Gucci topped it off. Once the beat comes on, listeners will get hype.

Batgirl is one of the most popular superheroes of all time. But even with the surge of superhero movies and extended cinematic universes she never got her own movie. Joss Whedon plans to remedy this. According to Variety , Whedon is “nearing a deal to write, direct and produce” a Batgirl movie as part of DC’s Extended Universe.

Whedon is best known for creating the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as the highly successful The Avengers and 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movies for Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is also the creator of the highly successful tv series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

As such, this is a big move for Whedon, the studio, and potentially DC’s cinematic universe, which has been on a path of darker superhero adaptations since Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Last year, Whedon explained his search of new challenges after working on Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. for years.

This will mark the the second female-led superhero film from DC after Patty Jenkins’ ‘Wonder Woman’, which opens this summer June 2. There is not a lot of information on the project, nor casting information and production date, but per Variety source will “feature other characters from the world of Gotham.” Long Live Whedon!

‘The Mummy’ new poster has an eye (and double iris) on you

By AI Creative Media

Already shaping up as one of our most anticipated movies of the summer, Universal releases another poster and teaser trailer for ‘The Mummy’. And it is creepy.

The artwork features a close-up of Princess Ahmanet’s (Sofia Boutella) double iris and what looks like special characters tattooed on her face. It is a simple yet intriguing one-sheet that conveys the film’s elements of terror and ancient civilization which should delight horror fans. This puts Boutellas’ menacing stare, also seen on the first teaser trailer a few months ago, front and center.

Headlined by Tom Cruise, the movie is a reboot of The Mummy franchise and is intended to be the first installment in Universal Monsters shared universe. The series intends to include Invisible Man (supposedly starring Johnny Depp), The Wolf Man, Van Helsing, Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Bride of Frankenstein.

A new extended trailer is expected to debut during the season finale of ‘The Walking Dead’ this Sunday.

Directed by Alex Kurtzman from a script by John Spaihts, the action-adventure horror film also stars Oscar winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator), Annabelle Wallis (King Arthur), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World), Courtney B. Vance (The People V. O.J. Simpson).

The film is set to arrive on June 9.

Robert Rodriguez in talks to direct “Escape from New York” remake

By AI Creative Media

A remake to the 1981 dystopian action classic “Escape from New York” has been circulating in Hollywood for almost 10 years, and now it’s finally found a director. Deadline reports today that Robert Rodriguez is set to direct the remake for 20th Century Fox, which picked up the rights to remake the flick two years ago.

The original 1981 John Carpenter film has become a cult classic since its release. It was followed by a sequel in 1996, Escape from L.A., also by director Carpenter. Kurt Russell starred in both films as Snake Plissken, a convicted former Special Forces soldier conscripted to rescue the President, who has been captured by prisoners after Air Force One crashed in Manhattan, which has been turned into a giant maximum-security prison.

The news seems like a vote of confidence for Rodriguez, who just directed Alita: Battle Angel for the same studio. A frequent collaborator of Quentin Tarantino, Rodriguez hasn’t directed a feature since 2014’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, but has been heavily involved his own cable television channel, El Rey since its launch in December 2013.

John Carpenter is also executive producing the reboot, with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman’s The Picture Company from a screenplay by Neil Cross, creator of the BBC crime series “Luther.”

What Fans Can Expect From Season Two of WestWorld

By Sukhbir Dhillon

After a gripping first season that even bested the debut season of the Game of Thrones, in terms of ratings, creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s left fans in awe as the show went out with a bang to cap off an incredible first season that left fans wishing for much more. Now as fans wait for the second season, which will premiere in 2018, there is a lot of speculation about which direction the show will go in, who will be back, and where will it be located.

Recently, Nolan stated the show would be leaving the westworld park behind, and instead be moving onto other parks within the show’s universe,“So we said when we started working on the series that we wanted to be ambitious. We wanted each season to increase in that ambition and in the scope of the show.”

Joy also offers input on the future of the show and what kind of themes to expect in season two, “the safety is off,” so for characters like Dolores and other hosts, they won’t be the painfully limited robots that die horrifically each episode. Instead fans can anticipate the hosts to be in the driver’s seat, and that can play out in any number of ways.

The Dark Tower reveals first poster

By Armando

“There are other worlds than these,” a quote from the Stephen King books as it appears on the poster of The Dark Tower, the long-awaited film adaptation that will arrive in theaters this summer.

The one-sheet was revealed by King himself on Twitter (below), along with a short message: “Pilgrim, there are other worlds than these. Come with us on the adventure.” Shortly after, Matthew McConaughey, who plays the antagonist Walter Padick, posted his own tweet, “Flip your phone to see what I see.

Indeed, the striking poster shows Roland the Gunslinger (Idris Elba) and the boy adventurer Jake (Tom Taylor) at the bottom, and when flipped upside-down shows McConaughey’s dark sorcerer Walter, also known as The Man In Black. It is a clever concept, especially if you notice how The Tower itself appears as a negative space silhouette created by the inverted Manhattan skyscrapers and is piercing into the pavement.

It is an intriguing image worthy of the high anticipation the movie carries since multiple development phases started in 2007. J.J. Abrams and Ron Howard were attached during some of these phases before it landed on Danish filmmaker and screenwriter Nikolaj Arcel.

“The Dark Tower” also stars Abbey Lee, Katheryn Winnick, Fran Kranz, Claudia Kim and Jackie Earle Haley, and is set to arrive July 28.
