Morbius’ First Official Trailer Reveals First Look At The Character

By Creative Media Times

Sony’s own Spidey-verse seem to be taking shape with the release of Morbius trailer, revealing a surprise appearance of Micheal Keaton’s Vulture, a character which appeared in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.

Morbius features Jared Leto as the title character Michael Morbius, who’s suffering from a rare blood disease and tries a dangerous cure that afflicts him with a form of vampirism. The film is set to lay out the origins of the character.

In the comics, he is one of villains that Spider-Man has faced over the years, and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #101 (October 1971).

With the boxoffice success of Venom in 2018, another character associated with Spider-Man, it is not unrealistic to imagine all these characters to cross over at some point in the future.

Last year, it was reported that Spider-Man would no longer be a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe due to Sony and Marvel standoff over co-financing. Sony has film rights to the character since before Disney bought Marvel in 2009. This was somewhat resolved after the two studios announced a third co-produced Spider-Man movie.

Also in Morbius are Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson. Directed by Daniel Espinosa, “Morbius” is set for release on July 31, 2020.

Kurt Busiek Assembles An All-Star Team For Fantastic Four: Marvel’s Snapshot

Last week, Marvel announced MARVELS SNAPSHOT, a new series from MARVELS co-creator Kurt Busiek that brings together incredible creative teams to tell new tales showcasing Marvel’s greatest heroes.

The series debuts in March with a golden age romp by Alan Brennert and Jerry Ordway before this epic tour through the Marvel Universe continues later that month with MARVELS SNAPSHOT: FANTASTIC FOUR. This second installment will take readers into the zany silver age, turning the spotlight on the Fantastic Four’s own Human Torch in a story by comic book creators Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dyer. Known for books like Beasts of Burden as well as writing credits on animated series like Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and Superman: The Animated Series, this duo feels right at home penning this classic tale rooted in the Marvel mythos.

“I’m still blushing that Kurt chose Sarah Dyer and I to tell one of the MARVELS SNAPSHOT stories, especially this one, because the Fantastic Four was my favorite super hero team book as a kid, and MARVELS did a great job of showing how the larger-than-life Marvel characters affect the average person on the street,” says Dorkin. “We’re trying to do right by both series, packing the story with as much heart, wonder and fun as we can for both older and newer fans to enjoy.”

‘The Flash’ Get Release Dates From Warner Bros.

By Creative Media Times

Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has announced on Wednesday that “The Flash” is set to be released on July 1, 2022.

Ezra Miller is reprising the role which debuted in Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and then returned in Justice League. The director of the “It” movies, Andy Muschietti, is currently attached to direct.

Along with the Flash’s new release date, the satudio also announced the release date for its highly-anticipated Matrix 4. The currently untitled film is set for release on May 21, 2121. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are currently expected to return for the fourth “Matrix” as well as series co-creator Lana Wachowski.

The Flash movie has had a long road to development since first being announced in 2014. Though Ezra Miller has since been hopeful of the film’s eventual release, things got a bit uncertain after Justice League somewhat underperformed at the boxoffice in 2017.

The Flash joins the list of films that the studio is developing as part of the DC Universe, joining next year’s Birds of Prey (set for release on February 7, 2020), Wonder Woman 1984 (June 5, 2020), then the following year with The Batman (June 5, 2021), The Suicide Squad (August 6, 2021) and Black Adam (December 22, 2021), while Aquaman 2 arrives on the same year as The Flash (currently dated for release on December 16).

Gal Gadot and Chris Pine Returns In First Trailer For ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

By Creative Media Times

Warner Bros. has unveiled the very first trailer for “Wonder Woman 1984,” sequel to the hugely successful 2017’s film “Wonder Woman.”

Wonder Woman travels to the 80s, as the title suggests, decades away from the World War I setting of the 2017 original and shows Diana Prince reuniting with Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor.

Not a lot of details has been released so far but here’s what Warner Bros has to say about the film so far: “Diana Prince comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s and finds a formidable foe by the name of the Cheetah.”

The new trailer gives us a first look at Kristen Wiig’s an archaeologist turned villainous Cheetah as well as tycoon Maxwell Lord played by Pedro Pascal.

Also released as series of character posters that offer our best looks yet at some of the movie’s core characters, including Kristen Wiig as Barbara Anne Minerva, The Mandalorian’s Pedro Pascal as Max Lord and the return of Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. (see below).

Director Patty Jenkins also returns to helm. Wonder Woman 1984 is set for release in theaters June 5, 2020.
