The Actor Dropped into Today’s Virtual Panel to Greet Fans from the Set of his Current Television Project and Introduce Head Wounds: Sparrow and the Creative Team

Today, during the Legendary Comics 2021 and Beyond! virtual San Diego Comic-Con@Home Panel, actor Oscar Isaac surprised fans from the set of his latest television series to introduce the creative team of his upcoming original graphic novel Head Wounds: Sparrow. Originally announced at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con@Home, fans were treated this year to a special in-depth conversation with panelists Bob Johnson, John Alvey, Jason Spire, Brian Buccellato and Christian Ward, moderated by Legendary Comics’ SVP Robert Napton.

The creative team divulged further details regarding the origin, mythology, and the process behind creating the original supernatural noir graphic novel. Viewers were also given an exclusive first-look tease at the artwork of Head Wounds: Sparrow.

Teaser Trailer For The Paramount+ Original Animated Kids’ Seriess “Star Trek: Prodigy” Debuts At Comic-Con@Home

Paramount+, the streaming service from ViacomCBS, today debuted the official teaser trailer for the all-new animated kids’ series STAR TREK: PRODIGY. The teaser trailer was introduced by executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman during the series’ Comic-Con@Home virtual panel and featured a first look at the STAR TREK: PRODIGY starship.

Produced by the Nickelodeon Animation Studio and CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Productions, STAR TREK: PRODIGY will premiere on Paramount+ in the U.S. this Fall.

The STAR TREK: PRODIGY virtual panel was part of the overall “Star Trek” Universe panel, which kicked off Paramount+’s Comic-Con@Home “Peak” Animation programming block, showcasing the service’s upcoming animated series. The “Star Trek” Universe panel also included season two of STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS.

Moderated by Jerry O’Connell (STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS), the STAR TREK: PRODIGY panel featured a conversation with voice cast members Kate Mulgrew (“Hologram Janeway”), Brett Gray (“Dal”), Ella Purnell (“Gwyn”), Angus Imrie (“Zero”), Rylee Alazraqui (“Rok-Tahk”), Dee Bradley Baker (“Murf”) and Jason Mantzoukas (“Jankom Pog”) alongside executive producers Kevin and Dan Hageman and director/co-executive producer Ben Hibon.

Developed by Emmy® Award winners Kevin and Dan Hageman (“Trollhunters” and “Ninjago”) the CG-animated series STAR TREK: PRODIGY is the first “Star Trek” series aimed at younger audiences and will follow a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search for a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they will each be introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.

STAR TREK: PRODIGY is from CBS Studios’ Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios’ new animation arm; Nickelodeon Animation Studio, led by President of Animation, Ramsey Naito; Secret Hideout; and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers alongside co-showrunners Kevin and Dan Hageman. STARZ Releases New Look At “Heels” Following ComicCon@Home Panel

The New Wrestling Drama Premieres Aug 15

STARZ released a sneak peek and character art for the upcoming original drama series Heels, at Comic-Con@Home following a virtual panel with series stars, Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, James Harrison, Allen Maldonado, Chris Bauer. The cast was joined by writer, creator and Executive Producer Michael Waldron and Mike O’Malley who also serves as Executive Producer. Heels premieres worldwide on Sunday, August 15 across all STARZ platforms, including at 9 PM ET/PT on STARZ in the U.S. and Canada.

Written and created by Executive Producer Michael Waldron (“Loki,” the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) with Executive Producer Mike O’Malley (“Shameless,” “Survivor’s Remorse”) as showrunner, “Heels” stars Stephen Amell (“Arrow”) as Jack Spade, with Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games, “Vikings”) playing his younger brother, Ace. Peter Segal (Get Smart, 50 First Dates, Tommy Boy, “Shameless”), who directs several episodes, also serves as executive producer.

The drama series also stars Alison Luff as Staci Spade, Jack’s wife who learns that she has to contend with the emotional stakes her in-laws have invested in their wrestling goals and the demands it puts on her family; Mary McCormack as Willie Day, Jack’s business partner and the logistical brains behind the local wrestling organization; Kelli Berglund as Crystal Tyler, Ace’s valet and love interest; Allen Maldonado as Rooster Robbins, one of the best wrestlers in the circuit who always has something to prove and always backs it up; two-time Super Bowl champion James Harrison as Apocalypse, a been-around-the-block journeyman wrestler who’s been at it for decades and has no illusions of fame or glory; and Chris Bauer as Wild Bill Hancock, a larger-than-life former wrestling star who is now a high-level pro wrestling scout.

Along with Waldron, O’Malley and Segal, LBI Entertainment’s Julie Yorn (Hell or High Water, White Boy Rick, The Dirt), Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley will also serve as executive producers. “Heels” is produced by Lionsgate TV for STARZ in association with Paramount Television Studios.

Paramount+ today released the official key art and trailer for the upcoming adult animated comedy THE HARPER HOUSE during the series’ panel at Comic-Con@Home. The ten-episode Paramount+ Original series will premiere Thursday, September 16th exclusively on the service.

Moderated by TV Guide Magazine’s Damian Holbrook, THE HARPER HOUSE Comic-Con@Home virtual panel was featured as part of the Paramount+ “Peak” Animation block. Paramount+Paramount+ today released special coverage from its Emmy-nominated animated series, STEPHEN COLBERT PRESENTS TOONING OUT THE NEWS, revealing “breaking stories” out of Comic-Con@Home.

During the service’s “Peak” Animation block, the satirical news program’s heavy-hitting co-anchors, James Smartwood and Kylie Weaver, along with hosts Tory Hughes, Tyler Templeton, Dr. Ike Bloom and chief field correspondent James Smartwood Jr., covered cosplaying from home and addressed the latest rumors following the expanding “Star Trek” Universe, including “Star Trek: SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE” and “Trek of Easttown: The Wrath of Wawa.”

Titan and Hard Case Crime announce GUN HONEY #1

Titan Comics and Hard Case Crime has announced GUN HONEY, a new 4-part crime comic series written by Charles Ardai, the Edgar and Shamus award winner and co-founder of Hard Case Crime, with art by Ang Hor Kheng. Issue #1 launches September 15, 2021 with covers by superstar artist Bill Sienkiewicz and legendary movie poster artist Robert McGinnis.

Praised by comic creators Max Allan Collins (Ms. Tree), Ed Brubaker (Captain America) and Duane Swierczynski (Birds of Prey), GUN HONEY is a story about weapons supplier Joanna Tan, the best in the world at providing the perfect weapon at the perfect moment. But when a gun she smuggles into a high-security prison leads to the escape of a brutal criminal, the U.S. government gives her an ultimatum: track him down or spend the rest of her life in a cell.
