Troy Hawke Announces 2025 ‘The Greeters Guild’ Tour Across North America

troy-hawkeToday, acclaimed comedian Troy Hawke announces a 2025 North American run of live shows — “The Greeters Guild” – after an incredibly successful European leg. Produced by Live Nation, the 10-city tour kicks off on March 30 at Thalia Hall in Chicago making stops across North America in New York, Washington, Toronto and more before wrapping up in Houston at Punch Line Comedy Club on April 17. Troy Hawke is an erudite home-schooled 1930s throwback… the Errol Flynn of the high street. Educated, sophisticated, but utterly clueless. He tackles modern issues head on in his uniquely untimely manner. The latest show from Troy, Troy Hawke: Sigmund Troy’d, won Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards 2022 and was one of the winners of Soho Playhouse International Fringe Encore Series in 2022. He has twice been nominated for the Amused Moose Best Edinburgh Show award and was listed as GQ’s Top Ten Comedy Shows at the festival.

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody Fall In “Nobody Wants This”

In the series, an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound walk into a party. When they walk out — together — the unlikely pair, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody), can tell there is something between them.

But also potentially between them, with their differing outlooks on life, all of the modern obstacles to love, and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families — including her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) and his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons).

Also in the cast are Sherry Cola, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Emily Arlook, Stephen Schneider

The new series is set to premiere on Netflix globally on September 26, 2024.

New Trailer for Wolfs Starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney

wolfsGlobal superstars Brad Pitt & George Clooney teams up with director Jon Watts for the new action comedy “Wolfs”.

The film is written and directed by Jon Watts, Jon who is best known for directing the most recent trio of “Spider-Man” films.

The film also stars Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams and Poorna Jagannathan.

Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.

The movie is set for release in cinemas in limited release on September 20th, and thebn followed by an exclusive run on Apple TV+ on September 27th.

“Best Christmas Pageant Ever” Debuts First Trailer

best-christmas-pageant-everLionsgate has released a new trailer for its upcoming comedy from director Dallas Jenkins “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”. Jenkins is also the creator of the Bible-based series “The Chosen”.

The holiday themed film stars Judy Greer, Pete Holmes, Elizabeth Tabish, and Lauren Graham, with Stephanie Sy and Kirk B.R. Woller. It is an adaptation of Barbara Robinson’s 1972 novel by the same name.

Here is the film’s synopsis: The Herdmans – Gladys, Claude, Imogene, Leroy, Ollie and Ralph – are undeniably the worst kids in the history of the world. They lie, steal, cheat, bully and overall terrorize their small community. But this Christmas, they’re taking over their local church Pageant – and they just might unwittingly teach a shocked little town the true meaning of Christmas.

Dark Sky Films’ Horror Comedy “BOOGER” Trailer Released

booger-horror-comedyDark Sky Films is set to release BOOGER to select theaters and digital/VOD on September 13th. BOOGER is the debut feature from writer-director Mary Dauterman and stars Strawberry Mansion’s Grace Glowicki.

It blends “body horror with comedy in a story of intense female friendship and its tragic loss, all backgrounded by a tale of supernatural transformation.”

The film follows New Yorker Anna (Grace Glowicki, Strawberry Mansion), who has just suffered the sudden and unexpected death of her best friend and roommate, Izzy (Sofia Dobrushin, Mean Girls 2024 ). She’s trying to handle this loss when Izzy’s cat, Booger, runs away. Anna goes on a desperate search to find him and in the process, she is bitten on the hand by the cat. She soon begins to take on feline characteristics. and her work life and relationship with her boyfriend start to go downhill.

The film also stars Garrick Bernard (Single Drunk Female), Marcia DeBonis (Sometimes I Think About Dying, 13 Going on 30), David Rysdahl (Oppenheimer, Fargo) and indie icon Heather Matarazzo (Welcome to the Dollhouse, Scream 3).

John Cena & Awkwafina in Dark Comedy “Jackpot!”

jackpotAmazon MGM Studios has released the full trailer for its upcoming action comedy “Jackpot” which star Awkwafina, John Cena and Simu Liu.

In the film set in the near future, a ‘Grand Lottery’ has been newly established in California – the catch: kill the winner before sundown to legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot. When Katie Kim (Awkwafina) moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket.

Desperate to survive the hordes of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy (John Cena) who will do everything in his power to get her to sundown in exchange for a piece of her prize. However, Noel must face off with his slick rival Louis Lewis (Simu Liu), who also seeks to collect Katie’s commission at all costs.

Directed by Paul Feig, Jackpot! also stars Ayden Mayeri, Donald Elise Watkins, Murray Hill, and Sam Asghari and is set to premiere on August 15 on Prime Video.

Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans In Christmas Action Movie “Red One”

In “Red One”, after a shocking abduction from the North Pole, the Commander of the E.L.F. Task Force must partner with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter to save Christmas.

Johnson, stars as Callum Drift opposite Evans, as Jack O’Malley, along with J.K. Simmons, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju, Kiernan Shipka, Lucy Liu, Nick Kroll, Wesley Kimmel, Mary Elizabeth Ellis

Chris Morgan wrote the script based on a story by Hiram Garcia. “Red One” is set to hit theaters on Nov. 15.

The film stars Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead, Star Trek: Discovery), Natalie Morales (Parks and Recreation, No Hard Feelings), Academy Award nominee Ed Harris (Westworld, Top Gun: Maverick, Apollo 13) and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby, Shawshank Redemption, Invictus).

The stellar supporting cast includes Gloria Reuben (ER, Lincoln) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Ghosts, Free Guy). The film is the directorial debut of Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, a former U.S. Army infantry paratrooper and Iraq War Bronze Star veteran.

Currently rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE is Hausmann-Stokes’ creative take on the post-war experience and a tribute to veterans of all generations. Co-written with A.J.
