Cannes Film Festival is back in its usual spring slot, set to take place onMay 17 through 28. On Thursday, April 14, director Thierry Frémaux has now unveiled the main lineup for this 75th Edition.
The list includes David Cronenberg, Claire Denis, the Dardenne brothers and Kelly Reichardt. A David Bowie doc, a Jerry Lee Lewis film from the Coen Brothers’ Ethan Coen, and Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis biopic are also on the list.
Frémaux also did confirm that the world premiere of “Top Gun: Maverick,” is scheduled to take place together with a tribute to its star and producer Tom Cruise. It is set to take place on the second day of the festival.
