“Lois Lane” Margot Kidder Dies At 69

By Creative Media Times

Actress Margot Kidder passed away Sunday at her home in Livingston, Montana. She was 69 years old.

The Canadian-American actress appeared in 135 films and television shows, including Brian De Palma’s cult thriller Sisters (1973), The Great Waldo Pepper (1975) opposite Robert Redford, and the hit horror film The Amityville Horror (1979).

But it was her role as a plucky reporter Lois Lane in the 1978 Richard Donner film “Superman” with Christopher Reeve that would invigorate her career. The film at that time, was one of the most expensive ever made and later became one of the highest grossing films of the year.

It is considered by many as inspiration for today’s comic book films. Kidder would continue to play the role for its sequels “Superman II” (1980), “Superman III” (1983) and “Superman IV: The Quest for Peace” (1987).

Reeve was paralyzed in a horseback riding accident in 1995 before he died died in 2004. In 1996, Kidder told in an interview with Barbara Walters that she had struggled with mental illness for decades.

The past few years, Kidder have been away from the spotlight, and spent most of time living in Montana.

New “Incredibles 2” Baby Jack-Jack

By Creative Media Times

Walt Disney Studios

If this latest trailer is any indication, it looks like Jack-Jack is about to steal the show as Pixar/Disney has just released the latest TV spot for the “Incredibles 2”.

And just in time for Mother’s Day, we also get to see the superhero clan’s matriarch, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), now apparently a spokesperson for superheroes, front and center. “So things haven’t spiraled out of control the moment I left?,” she says over the phone after her busy day of fighting crime and campaigning for the return of “supers.”

The latest trailer is definitely more action packed than what we have seen so far as Disney enters the stretch of the film’s promos leading to its release in a month.

The original film grossed $633 million worldwide in 2004 and received the Annie Award for Best Animated Feature. The Incredibles also won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Disney-Pixar originally slated the film to 2019 but later switched release dates with “Toy Story 4.” “Incredibles 2” will hit cinemas on June 15, 2018.

Drake And Paul Anka Collab Set To Drop In June

By Creative Media Times

Legendary singer-songwriter Paul Anka is apparently working on “something” with fellow Canadian that is set for release in June. Anaka revealed the news at Canadian Music And Broadcast Industry Awards, according to Billboard.

“I’m working with a brilliant young artist who is as hot as you can get right now, a fellow young Canadian and his name is Drake. We recorded something that will be released, out in June. That’s all I can tell you,” Anka said as he accepted his Lifetime Achievement Award from Michael Bublé.

This announcement aligns with Anka’s post on Instagram a few months ago which shows him pictured with Drake in the studio. “One of the great nights…lots to follow! Love working with Drake!,” says the iconic crooner.

Undoubtedly, Drake is certainly as hot as one can get. He is currently at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Nice for What” which replaced his own song “God’s Plan” after the latter topped the charts for 11 weeks.

Last month, The Toronto rapper announced his upcoming fifth studio album “Scorpion” which is set for release in, yes you got it, June 2018. Though not a lot is revealed about the project, this summer is looking like another major month for Drake.

“13 Reasons Why” Season 2 Trailer Drops

By Creative Media Times

Netflix

Netflix has released an intense new trailer for Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why,” revealing more stories to tell after season 1’s controversial ending. “I just felt like this whole thing was gonna be over. But it’s not,” says Dylan Minnette’s character Clay Jensen.

The teen mystery drama television series, based on the novel Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, follows the story of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) who takes her own life after experiencing a series of demoralizing circumstances brought on my people around her at school, a series she outlined in 13 cassette tapes which she left to her schoolmates.

Season one was told in the same sequence that Hannah made the tapes. The series lead Dylan Minnette is Clay Jensen, a close friend of Hannah who listens to the tapes and narrates what happened to her.

Based on the trailer, Season two will deal more about the aftermath of her death, most likely connecting a few loose ends suggested in last year’s finale episode. The show was also a hit for Netflix and received a few accolades, which somewhat guaranteed the follow-up series.

Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why” is set to premiere on Friday 18 May on Netflix.
