Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill” Returns To The Charts

Thanks to the fourth season of “Stranger Things,” Kate Bush’s 1985 classic “Running Up That Hill” is finding new life and fresh new listeners.

With the return of the Netflix’s hit show’s new season on Friday, and the song being a pivotal part of the plot, the song has surged in Spotify by 9,900% in U.S. plays from Thursday to Monday, per Billboard.

Bush has always been more popular particularly in her native UK than in thee US, so it is understandable that the song is experiencing a similar bump in popularity in the UK as well.

The English singer-songwriter originally released Running Up That Hill in 1985. It was the first single from her fifth studio Hounds of Love, which reached the top of the UK charts and the top 40 in Billboard 200. “Hill” itself originally peaked at No. 3 in the UK charts, and 30 in the Billboard Hot 100 in the US.

In the Netflix series’ first episode, the song is frequently played throughout the entire season, at some point accompanying the journey of one of the characters Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) in the series.

Dreamhack 2022 Brings All The Gaming Fun Into Dallas

The immersive, three-day gaming lifestyle festival, Dreamhack returns this weekend after two and a half years, and its all set to take place in Dallas.

Panic! At The Disco Announces Viva Las Vengeance

Today, Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum band, Panic! At The Disco announce their seventh studio album, Viva Las Vengeance, due August 19th on Fueled by Ramen/DCD2 Records.

Renowned illustrator Hidetaka Tenjin and UDON Entertainment to celebrate new collaborative project at Comic-Con International: San Diego, July 20-24.

The world-renowned illustrator is set to attend Comic-Con in person this year, as an honoured guest of the show with the support of CCI and UDON.

Hidetaka Tenjin (known to fans as simply Tenjin) is known throughout animation and collector circles for his beloved concept and box art. His iconic work has helped to define the look of Macross Zero and Macross Frontier, and he has created dazzling and intricate mecha-focused pieces for properties from Gundam to Star Wars, Hellsing to Star Blazers 2205, and many, many more.

“I was honored to be introduced to Tenjin-Sensei in 2012, and this year marks us being friends for 10 years!” said UDON Entertainment Chief Erik Ko. “We have always wanted to work together on a project, but due to many different circumstances, we have not been able to officially collaborate until now. First ‘Gotham Knights’ Trailer Gives Audience A First-Look At The Series

A new trailer for The CW’s upcoming series “Gotham Knights” has been released, and it features the demise of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, among other surprises.

In the trailer, we see Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, breaking the news to Turner Hayes that Wayne has been murdered. It appears that Hayes, as well as three other teens are to be the suspects.

To be presented by CW in 2023, the series does not exist within the world of “Arrowverse.” And though the series centers around the Dark Knight, the series is not to be confused with the video game of the same name.

Olivia Rose Keegan, Navia Robinson, Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara star alongside Misha Collins. “Gotham Knights” is written by Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams.

Batman is dead, and a powder keg has ignited Gotham City without the Dark Knight to protect it. Watergate Thriller/Comedy “18½” Set Release To Theaters On May 27th

Varèse Sarabande Records To Release LP of The Iron Giant Original Soundtrack (Deluxe Edition)

Varèse Sarabande Records is set to release the LP of The Iron Giant (Deluxe Edition) Original Motion Picture Score with music by Michael Kamen. Varèse Sarabande has previously released Kamen’s The Iron Giant score as a 49-minute program single LP. The album will release August 5.

Creating The Iron Giant’s beautiful, sympathetic score was Michael Kamen, one of his last major scores and his first animated film, miles away from the action blockbusters for which he had become known.

This Deluxe Edition adds an additional 13 minutes of alternates, outtakes and rare demos—including a piano-and-guitar attempt at an unrealized song, “Souls Don’t Die,” based on Kamen’s theme, performed by Kamen and Eric Clapton. Tim Greiving’s new liner notes feature new interview material with director Brad Bird, music editor Christopher Brooks and orchestrator Blake Neely, going deep into Kamen’s working process and their adoration for the gifted, late composer.

A modern classic, The Iron Giant, directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol) tells the story of a young boy who befriends a giant alien robot during the Sputnik era of the Cold War. Marvel Comics Enters Phase II Of Star Wars: High Republic

Earlier today at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, fans got a good look at what’s to come in Phase II of Star Wars: The High Republic.

The highly-acclaimed publishing initiative will begin an all-new era of interconnected stories told across novels, children’s books, and of course, comics! Marvel Comics’ Star Wars: The High Republic sagas is set to return this fall with a new ongoing Star Wars: The High Republic comic series and a new limited series titled Star Wars: The High Republic – Thee Blade.

Launching in October, Star Wars: The High Republic #1 will see writer Cavan Scott and artist Ario Anindito reunite after their mega successful run on volume 1.

Andrew Fletcher Of Depeche Mode Dies Aged 60

Andrew Fletcher, the keyboardist and founding member of British electronic band Depeche Mode, has died. Fletch is aged 60. “We are shocked and filled with overwhelming sadness with the untimely passing of our dear friend, family member, and bandmate Andy ‘Fletch’ Fletcher,” a statement issued by the band on social media said.

Fletcher died Thursday from natural causes at his home in the United Kingdom, a person close to the band said. “Fletch had a true heart of gold and was always there when you needed support, a lively conversation, a good laugh or a cold pint.”

Fletcher formed Depeche Mode, with fellow synthesizer players Vince Clarke and Martin Gore, and lead singer Dave Gahan, in Basildon, England in 1980. The English electronic music band would become one of the pioneers of British electro-pop along with hits like “Just Can’t Get Enough” and “Personal Jesus.”

Depeche Mode would find international success with 1984′s the single “People are People,” from their 1984 album “Some Great Reward” which established the band as one of the major musical forces within the electronic music scene throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.

One of the major highlights of the band’s numerous successes was the band’s concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl June in 1988, where they drew more than 60,000 people. This event was documented in a live album and documentary film,
