‘Alice in Borderland’ Season 3 Set for September Return on Netflix

Netflix has officially announced that Season 3 of Alice in Borderland, the hit Japanese sci-fi thriller, will premiere on September 25, 2025. The new installment picks up after Arisu and Usagi clear all the deadly games and return to their lives in the real world—now married and seemingly at peace. But lingering visions from their time in the Borderland suggest their ordeal isn’t over.

Season 3 reintroduces leads Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, with Shinsuke Sato returning as director. According to the synopsis, the disappearance of Usagi and the reappearance of the mysterious “Joker” card send Arisu back into the surreal realm between life and death.

Alice in Borderland first gained international attention for its suspenseful game mechanics and psychological depth, based on Haro Aso’s manga. Its second season topped Netflix’s global non-English TV charts upon release.

The returning cast includes Ayaka Miyoshi, Nijirô Murakami, and Dori Sakurada, while new characters will be played by Koji Ohkura, Tina Tamashiro, and Kento Kaku, among others.

Josh Brolin-Narrated Supercross Documentary “Pay Dirt” Set for Digital Release

The documentary Pay Dirt: The Story of Supercross, narrated by actor Josh Brolin, will be available globally on digital and TVOD platforms beginning July 18, 2025. The film examines the history and evolution of Supercross, a sport that emerged in the 1970s and has since grown into one of the more intense and physically demanding motorsports.

Directed by Emmy winner Paul Taublieb, Pay Dirt combines archival footage, contemporary cinematography, and interviews with prominent Supercross figures, including Hall of Famers Jeremy McGrath, Bob Hannah, Ricky Johnson, and Ricky Carmichael. The film also explores the complex figure of Michael Goodwin, who played a key role in popularizing the sport and is now serving a life sentence for murder.

The documentary had its theatrical debut in January 2025 and was previously screened at the Anaheim One Supercross season opener. It is produced by Taublieb Films with support from Monkey Wrench Films, in association with various motorsports stakeholders. A portion of the project’s theatrical campaign benefited the Road 2 Recovery foundation, which supports injured athletes within the sport.

Supernatural Thriller “The Drowned” Set for Digital Release

Sunrise Films and Vertigo Releasing have announced the digital rollout of The Drowned, the debut feature from director and writer Samuel Clemens. The supernatural creature thriller will launch on digital platforms starting October 6 in the UK and Ireland, followed by North America on October 7, and Australia/New Zealand on October 8.

Previously titled The Waterhouse and premiered at FrightFest Halloween, the film stars Alan Calton (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning), Dominic Vulliamy (Rules of the Game), and Lara Lemon (War of the Worlds: The Attack).

Woven with references to Greek mythology, The Drowned follows three thieves who have just stolen a priceless painting and arrive at a secluded safe house by the sea, only to discover their fourth accomplice is missing. The trailer for “Magnetosphere” has been released, offering a new glimpse at director Nicola Rose’s sophomore feature. The nostalgic, coming-of-age drama will debut digitally across North America on July 22, 2025, with a special screening scheduled for San Diego Comic-Con on July 27.

Destin Conrad Announces ‘Love on Digital’ North American Tour

R&B artist Destin Conrad has announced his Love on Digital North American headline tour, beginning September 13 in Denver. The tour will include stops in cities such as Houston, Nashville, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles, with Mark Keane as support.

New Trailer Released Ahead of February 2026 Theatrical Debut

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for its upcoming animated film The Cat in the Hat, due in theaters on February 27, 2026. Lionsgate has released the official trailer for I Wish You All the Best, a coming-of-age drama directed and written by Tommy Dorfman. Based on the novel by Mason Deaver, the film follows Ben, a high school junior who comes out as nonbinary and is forced to move in with an estranged older sister after being rejected by their parents.
