“Wonder Woman 1984,” sequel to the hit 2017 superhero film won’t be hitting hit theaters until 2020, but star Gal Gadot left fans plenty to look forward to.
Gadot took to Instagram to thank cast and crew as well as fans alike, and made a special shoutout for director, Patty Jenkins, the director of the sequel as well as the original film.
“We did it. Again!! And as much as the first time shooting Wonder Woman was amazing, this time was even more unique and special.. We shot in 4 very different locations in 3 countries, and I’m so soooo proud of the almost 1000 crew members who came to set every day, giving everything they have into our movie,” Gadot posted.
“Wonder Woman 1984” bring Gadot back as Diana Prince and Chris Pine as American pilot and the love interest of Diana Steve Trevor. New in the film is Kristen Wiig as the film’s villain as Cheetah a.k.a. Barbara Ann Minerva. Also joining in the adventure is Pedro Pascal, who has appeared in Narcos and Game of Thrones.
The film is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2020, after it was pushed back from its original Nov. 1, 2019 release date.
