Warner Bros may be skipping the big stages at this summer San Diego Comic-Con, but that didn’t stop director Patty Jenkins from hyping next year’s Wonder Woman 1984.
Marking a year from the film’s release next year, Jenkins tweeted a psychedelic and colorful poster of the film on Wednesday. “One… year… from… TODAY…,” Jenkins posted an image featuring Gal Gadot’s character, looking tough and ready to fight, standing in front of a rainbow-colored background.
Although WB is skipping SDCC, the director promised that promo will be in full swing in December. “By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full– But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…” Jenkins posted.
Wonder Woman 1984 brings back Gal Gadot in the title role, as well as Chris Pine as Diana/Wonder Woman’s love interest Steve Trevor, while Kristen Wiig as Barbara Ann Minerva / Cheetah joins the cast.
The film is set to arrive in theaters on June 5, 2020.
