‘Deadpool 2’ Update: Josh Brolin set to play Cable
By AI Creative Media
Josh Brolin has signed on to play the time-traveling mutant Cable, Hollywood Reporter confirmed Wednesday. Yes, many of us know Brolin is also set to supervillain Thanos in “Avengers: Infinity War”, so we might be in for a perplexing situation here.
Indeed, it didn’t take long for many fans to react, including Wade Wilson / Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds, who took to twitter to joke about the fresh casting announcement: “The fuck, Fox! You can’t play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch.”
But come on, it’s not like Ryan isn’t guilty of the same for taking multiple Marvel roles. Before Deadpool, he was Hannibal King in “Blade: Trinity”. And of course then there’s a few others such as Michael B. Jordan, who was Human Torch in ‘Fantastic Four’ (2015) and will be the “Black Panther” in 2018, and Chris Evans who played Johnny Storm in the original “Fantastic Four” films before he was Captain America. Of course knowing Reynolds, this is all in jest.

Rumors as to who will play Cable circulated since the character was announced in Deadpool’s post-credit scene; actors including Pierce Brosnan, Nathan Fillion, and Michael Shannon come to mind.
David Leitch is directing Deadpool 2, and is expected to hit theaters in 2018.
EXCLUSIVE: A Man of the World: Interview with Actor Sean Cameron Michael
By Elizabeth Walker
Technically, Sean Cameron Michael is a Hollywood newcomer…but only technically. The veteran actor relocated to Los Angeles four or so years ago, after years spent living and working in his native South Africa. I reached him by phone to connect with him about his latest projects, including the independent film Last Broken Darkness and the series Blood Drive.
Q: What attracted you to Last Broken Darkness?
SCM: I had worked with Christopher-Lee dos Santos on a previous project, years ago, a short film, and he had mentioned the idea of this film to me, and said if it ever came to fruition he wanted me to work on it. We ended up shooting it in South Africa in May 2015. It’s a post-apocalyptic story about a father who has lost his wife and kid, and people are surviving underground. Usually in South Africa, movies are either comedies or political in nature, so this was exciting.
Aquaman has another villain: Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus
By AI Creative Media

Production of Aquaman is full speed ahead and raising the bar on villainous lineup. Right now, that list already includes Black Manta and Orn. And they will now be joined by Nereus, as Hollywood Reporter announced will be played by veteran Swedish action icon Dolph Lundgren. For some reason, this tells me that Lundgren’s recent appearance on Arrow was just a warm-up.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that “Lundgren will play King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebel, who claims Mera as his own and wants to kill Aquaman.” On Facebook, director James Wan was quick to point out that, “it’s different in my film. But nonetheless, he’ll be an awesome King Nereus, ruler of Xebel.” Whatever the, this raises the stakes yet again for Wan’s already mega-ambitious project.
Lundgren isn’t new to comic book adaptations and superhero films. In 1989, he played the anti-hero Frank Castle in ‘The Punisher’, while before that he portrayed He-Man in the 1987 sci-fi film Masters of the Universe. His role as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV however, remains one of his most iconic roles.
Momoa is playing the title character, while James Wan is sitting in the director’s chair. Willem Dafoe plays Aquaman’s adviser, scientist Dr. Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta; and Temuera Morrison as Aquaman’s father.
Production is supposed to start on May in Australia and is set to be released in December of 2018.
Been hardest (and most excited) secret to sit on. But finally, welcome to Atlantis @Dolph_Lundgren #KingNereus #KingdomOfXebel https://t.co/qpDU00nVSd

Atomic Blonde New Trailer Delivers Some Fierce Remix
By AI Creative Media
Yes, the coolest music video this week comes in the form of a movie trailer, that of Charlize Theron’s new action thriller Atomic Blonde. From that cool mash-up of Kanye’s “Black Skinhead” and Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus”, to a remix of the Eurythmics’s “Sweet Dreams”, and some help from New Order, the trailer’s music captures the intensity of its impressive fight scenes.
After playing Imperator Furiosa in the George Miller masterpiece Mad Max: Fury Road, we now see Theron back for more butt-kicking action, this time on a spy mission while looking sassy in a pair of stilettos. Following Mad Max and this weekend’s The Fate of the Furious, it seems that Theron is in a good place establishing herself as an action star.
Based on Antony Johnston’s 2012 graphic novel The Coldest City, Atomic Blonde is an action spy thriller set in Berlin’s world of espionage underworld, centering on the eve of the collapse of Berlin Wall. The story follows Theron’s Lorraine Broughton on a mission “to deliver a priceless dossier out of the destabilized city, she partners with embedded station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) to navigate her way through the deadliest game of spies”.
Directed by David Leitch (John Wick), and written by Kurt Johnstad (300), the movie also star James McAvoy, John Goodman, Toby Jones and Sofia Boutella. The film made a big splash at South by Southwest back in March and will open nationwide on July 28.
New ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ trailer
By AI Creative Media
The first trailer for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is here, and the god of Thunder is at it again, complete with helmets, chains and flames, minus Thor’s locks and powerful hammer. The new trailer shows Cate Blanchett’s Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death. There’s also a few shots of Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie.
After what transpired in Avengers: Age of Ultron, we see Thor imprisoned without his weapon. But its really at the end part where we see a familiar face, the Hulk in what seem like a gladiator-esque battle with Thor: “He’s a friend from work!”
Here’s the official synopsis from Disney:
Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok — the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization — at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger — the Incredible Hulk!
Directed by Taika Waititi, “Thor: Ragnarok” hits theaters Nov. 3 and also stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster. Here it is, Thor: Ragnarok’s first trailer.
Zack Snyder Shares Henry Cavill Photo in Classic Superman Suit
By AI Creative Media
Taken during the actor’s screen test for the Superman role, the photo is something of an urban legend: known to fans but none have actually seen it. Until last Thursday, when Man of Steel director Zack Snyder released a black and white photo of Henry Cavill wearing the classic Superman outfit.
Many might not know that Cavill actually auditioned for the role in Reeve’s outfit which had the classic red trunks on the outside. “First test with Henry,” Snyder said. “I knew right away he was my Superman.”
In a 2016 interview with DuJour, Snyder said, “We didn’t have the suit made when Henry was auditioning, so he wore the original Christopher Reeve suit. He put it on and when he came out of the trailer, everyone was like, ‘Dang, you’re Superman!””
Cavill first appeared as Superman in Man of Steel (2013), followed by last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He is expected to be back in Justice League this Nov. 17, though he’ remains hidden away from the movie’s trailers and promos. We’ll find out more in the next few months what Snyder and Cavill is up to.
Mission: Impossible 6 begins production
By AI Creative Media
Christopher McQuarrie and Tom Cruise are back shooting together, as director McQuarrie announces on twitter that production officially starts for Mission: Impossible 6, the new installment in the hugely successful film series. McQuarrie took the reigns in 2015 for “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” which was a critical and commercial success.
“Light the fuse,” McQuarrie posted on social media next to a clapboard from the seat early Saturday morning.
The film also stars returning characters of Rebecca Ferguson (Ilsa Faust) and Alec Baldwin (Alan Hunley) plus new members Vanessa Kirby (“Me Before You”) and Henry Cavill (“Man of Steel”), though whatever roles the two will play have been kept under wraps.
As to how exactly McQuarrie is going to top the crazy stunts we saw in “Rogue Nation”, the director recently spoke with Empire and teased: “I may have found something today. I came to Tom with a picture of something and Tom looked at it and said, ‘That’s awesome! I want to fall off of that!’”
Mission: Impossible 6 is scheduled for July 27, 2018 release by Paramount Pictures.

Late Carrie Fisher will be in ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’, Her Brother Confirms
AI Creative Media
Carrie Fisher passed away after her work on Star Wars: Episode XIII as Princess Leia. Now Fisher’s brother Todd Fisher, confirmed to NY Daily News that she will be in the last trilogy film as well, and without use of CG. According to the article, Todd and Billie Lourd, Carrie’s daughter, granted permission to use recent footage of the actress.
“Both of us were like, ‘Yes, how do you take her out of it?’ And the answer is you don’t,” Fisher said. “She’s as much a part of it as anything and I think her presence now is even more powerful than it was, like Obi Wan — when the saber cuts him down he becomes more powerful. I feel like that’s what’s happened with Carrie. I think the legacy should continue.
Lucasfilm confirmed early this year after Fisher’s passing that the studio will not wouldn’t recreate her digital version, a statement it confirmed on Star War’s official website. “We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa.”
Fisher’s Leia will next be seen later this year in Star Wars: The Last Jedi which comes out Dec. 17. The still untitled “Episode IX” is slated for 2019.
