Bob Trevino Likes It” marks the feature debut for writer and director Tracie Laymon, and is inspired by Laymon’s life.
The comedy drama follows a woman looking for her long-lost father and stars Barbie Ferreira and John Leguizamo. The synopsis reads: A people-pleasing young woman is involuntarily estranged from her narcissistic father and unexpectedly befriends a childless man with the same name as her father on the internet.
The film also star French Stewart, Lauren Spencer, Rachel Bay Jones.

Directed and written by Alireza Khatami, “The Things You Kill” stars Ekin Koç, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, and Hazar Ergüçlü.
Khatami’s third feature is premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in the World Cinema Dramatic competition, and is considered one of the year’s best entries.
The film follows Ali, a university professor who, haunted by the suspicious death of his ailing mother, coerces his enigmatic gardener to execute a cold-blooded act of vengeance. As long-buried family secrets resurface, the police tighten their noose, and doubts begin eroding his conscience. Ali has no choice but to look into the abyss of his own soul.

2025 comedy horror film “The Ugly Stepsister” premiered on Thurs, Jan 23, 2025, day one of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
Co-written and directed by Emilie Blichfeldt in her directorial debut, the film reimagines the Cinderella fairytale.
The film’s synopsis says: “In a fairy-tale kingdom where beauty is a brutal business, Elvira battles to compete with her incredibly beautiful stepsister, and she will go to any length to catch the prince’s eye.”
Leading to its premiere, the “tongue-in-cheek body horror” has been one of the festival’s buzziest titles.
The film’s cast includes Lea Myren, Thea Sofie Loch Næss, Ane Dahl Torp, Flo Fagerli, Isac Calmroth, and Malte Gårdinger.

The Carey Mulligan starrer is set to premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, before it hits select US theaters.
The film tells the of Charles, an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer back together, says the official synopsis.
“His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.”

Psychological horror film “Rabbit Trap” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Jan 24, 2025 in the Midnight section, with producer Elijah Wood, writer-director Bryn Chainey and cast and crew in attendance.
Logline says: “When a musician and her husband move to a remote house in Wales, the music they make disturbs local ancient folk magic, bringing a nameless child to their door who is intent on infiltrating their lives.”

Today, Live Nation Urban has announced an exclusive three-performance slate of shows headlined by Lil Wayne with special guests Hot Boys – B.G., Juvenile & Turk, presented by Lil’ WeezyAna. Kicking off on Friday, February 21 in Tampa, FL, the rap kings will then bring their can’t-miss set to Charlotte, NC on Sunday, February 23, before capping off the mini-tour in St. Louis, MO, on Friday, February 28.
Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile and Turk took the stage together for the first time in over 15 years at last year’s sold-out Lil’ WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans, where they treated audience members to a showstopping performance filled with hits like “I Need a Hot Girl” and “Neighborhood Superstar,” as well as their individual tracks like Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up” and B.G.’s “Bling Bling.” The upcoming slate of shows comes on the heels of last December’s Hot Boys Holiday, which saw the rap supergroup take over a sold-out Toyota Center in Houston.
